We enjoyed quite a good meal at the Spyway Inn- salad starter, 2x fish and chips, pasta with 3x coffee to finish. Soft drinks and total bill £88 for three. Rather expensive for what we had, but good quality.

Visited this inn while walking the local area. Welcome break in a comfortable pub. The local beer and cider were good. Our party had the Dorset smokies: smoked haddock in a rarebit sauce. This is a particular favourite and the main reason we love coming back here. We also had the burger with fried onions, chips and salad. At £8... More

Good size meals nicely presented. There is a gorgeous garden with great views, lovely on a nice day. The pub also has accommodation which we would like... More

Something beginning with "E" - that's "E" for excellent. We are not "regulars" at this wonderful hostelry in the normal sense of the word, but we are regulars in that every time we travel down to Cornwall from our home in Hampshire - about 2 or 3 times a year - we try to have lunch or an evening meal... When we arrived we were the only diners but we were glad we booked as it soon filled up. Cannot fault the service, very friendly and attentive. Perhaps one point to note is that you may have to wait a while for the food to arrive but our food was good when it arrived - and generous portions. If we... More

The Spyway Inn, built in 1845 is a country pub popular with locals and tourists alike. Due to its popularity it is very wise to book in advance to avoid disappointment. There are outside tables and a cute kiddies playground. The menu offers a number of quality choices and the servings are on the generous side. The waitresses are charming,... More
