We have had many lovely evening meals at The Spyway Inn but this was the first time we had stayed overnight.Taking advantage of the two night "Winter Warmer" offer we booked for the 17th/18th February. Everything exceeded expectations! Our room was delightful, so comfortable, cosy and toasty warm coupled with a massive en-suite bathroom. The evening meal was again something...

We took advantage of the car park as a starting point for a 'Dorset pub walk. We went in for a pre-walk coffee and received the most friendly reception that certainly means we shall return to savour a meal.

We went here for a Sunday Dinner with friends. The place is clean with friendly staff. The menu had a good variety and when our meals arrived we were amazed by the quantity (and quality). Would definitely go back.

Modest the cozy bar of the Spyway Inn might be, but it is backlit by the steep green hills of Dorset, so that the winter of our discontent this lunchtime was made glorious summer. Spyway sits below Egardon Hill. Climb to its windy and wild top and a classic English seascape and landscape, dotted with sheep, is set before you....

Friendly owners and staff all attentive ... Food plentiful and good as was the wine/beer .... Would go again and probably for dinner next visit. Setting is lovely as is surrounding area. Good car parking but lanes are narrow so care is needed

We enjoyed quite a good meal at the Spyway Inn- salad starter, 2x fish and chips, pasta with 3x coffee to finish. Soft drinks and total bill £88 for three. Rather expensive for what we had, but good quality.

Visited this inn while walking the local area. Welcome break in a comfortable pub. The local beer and cider were good. Our party had the Dorset smokies: smoked haddock in a rarebit sauce. This is a particular favourite and the main reason we love coming back here. We also had the burger with fried onions, chips and salad. At £8...

We have had several meals here evenings and lunch time. The landlord is a very pleasant helpful chap as are all the staff. The food is fresh locally produced and very very good. Good size meals nicely presented. There is a gorgeous garden with great views, lovely on a nice day. The pub also has accommodation which we would like...

Something beginning with "E" - that's "E" for excellent. We are not "regulars" at this wonderful hostelry in the normal sense of the word, but we are regulars in that every time we travel down to Cornwall from our home in Hampshire - about 2 or 3 times a year - we try to have lunch or an evening meal...
