I too was sad to find that the wild olive will not be on our visit list for Feb 2015. We also only stayed here once in Feb 2014 but we're glad to have had the experience of meeting with Gloria and Peter and enjoying their hospitality and Peters wonderful food. It is very sad we will be unable to...

Really sad to hear that Gloria & Peter are retiring. We have spent many holidays in South Africa, but only discovered Wild Olive in the latter years. We were already planning our 2015 visit, and were about to contact Gloria about our stay before even booking our flights. If anyone out there can suggest a similar establishment, charming hosts, delightful...

My wife and I have just return from our 4th visit to this gem. We stayed for 3 nights and again were not disappointed. It is with great sadness that I write this review having been told by Gloria that her and Peter are retiring on the 18th April 2014. I am so glad that we were able to stay...

We now plan every trip to South Africa around availability at Wild Olive. We went back again in November and were not disappointed. Peter cooks the most delicious dinners and breakfasts which must be amongst the best, if not THE best in South Africa. Gloria ensures their guests want for nothing and the rooms are well maintained and spotlessly clean...

Wild Olive came highly recommended through friends from Germany who strongly advised on booking evening meals as well. Peter (professionally trained chef de cuisine) prepared fine dining meals & excellent breakfast whilst Gloria making sure nothing amiss - such an excellent pair ! The local Atlantic lobster is not to be missed and just inform Peter in advance so he...

We spent three nights with Gloria and Peter at Wild Olive Guest House and were so well looked after. Peter is a wonderful chef and Gloria is busy making sure that their guests are wanting for nothing. It was lovely to have our evening meal with other guests plus Gloria and Peter joining us for evenings of excellent food and...

We found Wild Olive beautiful. Gloria and Peter made us so welcome and the 'fine dining' dinner created by Peter was utterly delicious. The breakfast the next morning was also amazing. Our bedroom was lovely, with the added thrill of our own al fresco shower ( as well as our lovely indoor shower room). We also had a private terrace. The...
