We booked direct with Hotel , this means you benefit from a free continental breakfast, free air con & free safe. Jet2 travel here but on self catering & have to pay for extras. Booking direct was so easy and great communication from Savvas , who also arranged taxi to/from airport for EUR60 each way. Stayed in a triple room to get a slightly bigger room , all the essentials , a walk in shower and kept clean daily. Great location, 10 minutes walk to the harbour area, 2 minutes to the beach for free sunbeds & they run up & down all day to serve you food & drinks . All the staff are very friendly , pool bar food is great and drinks are reasonably priced. Had a BBQ & Greek dancing night on our last night which was a fun way to end our holiday.

Having just returned from the palmyra it’s safe to say it’s one of the best family holidays we’ve had!

From the moment you arrive the owners and staff make you feel so welcome.

Rooms are typically Greek. Very clean and comfortable, cleaned daily with towel changes. Showers could maybe do with a upgrade but adequate for what’s needed.

Location is fantastic, 5 min walk to Nidri centre and a two min walk to the beach, the hotel even has its own sub beds which are free to use which is a real bonus, you can also order food and drinks to the beach.

Pool is great, plenty of sun beds. Go for the garden area for the best sun. The poolside is more shaded but nice if you want to get out of the sun for a bit.

The staff are superb. The owners always greet you in a morning or if you are passing. Marsella and Andy who work the bar and the beach are superb!! They were great with our two boys, interacting with them. Playing with them, pushing them in the pool etc.. nothing was ever too much trouble be it asking for specific drinks or just having a general conversation. Our boys loved talking to Andy about football and we enjoyed having a drink and a chat with marsella at the bar. They both work tirelessly day and night anlways with a smile on their faces and are a huge credit to the hotel. It was quite sad saying bye to them as we left.

I’d also recommend the hotel Greek night.

Cannot fault this hotel at all. We aren’t normally returners as we like the visit different areas however based on our holiday we are seriously considering a return (if we can get booked as it’s very popular!).

Stayed at palmyra for two weeks we had a brilliant time the family and the staff were Amazing from savros to the Lovely marsela, who was always running after everyone and would do anything for you and such a lovely kind woman.
Also a special mention for endy who was absolutely brilliant looking after us on the beach for food and drinks and anything else you might need help with, a really nice guy.
The hotel is so friendly and makes you feel so welcome you can see why they have so many returning guests.
The bar menu was really nice the food is lovely and definitely value for money , and you cannot beat a really nice cold mythos when you arrive, They have a BBQ every Friday for €20 well worth the money and the Greek dancers are so good and entertaining we really enjoyed the night and would recommend. The grounds of the hotel are so nice, plenty of sunlounges around the pool also lots of sunlounges on the grass area behind the pool area, then you have lots of free sunlounges on the beach which is a really nice part of beach great views all around, and don't forget endy brings you any food or drink you may order from him, he is always around to take any orders.
The hotel is well placed to visit nidri Harbour and lots and lots of amazing restaurants and bars.
We would finally like to say we absolutely loved our time at palmyra, and thankyou all at the hotel, savos marsela the family for making our holiday a fantastic time.

We actually paid our travel agency for a room with three regular beds but we received a quite small room with two regular beds and one smaller folding bed. However, the hotel staff immediately replaced the smaller bed with a regular one, so our daughter was fully satisfied :).

The room equipment was satisfactory and functional, however, it would already deserve some light repairs. The biggest issue actually was the water in our bathroom. The water pressure was quite low and especially in the afternoons, and the temperature of the water was very unstable. It was sometimes very difficult to get showered after the whole day out.

On the other side, the staff in the hotel was very nice and helpful. They were always smiling at everybody, and whatever we wanted or even when we complained about anything, they were always ready to help us. The breakfasts were good, but every day the same. Besides many drinks we also had some ice cream and meals from the menu, everything was excellent.

The hotel is just one minute walk from a beach. The beach definitely is not the best in Nidri but the hotel has got free sunbeds and umbrellas there for their guests and they regularly come to the beach so the guests can order drinks and refreshments.

The hotel is located about 10 minutes from the port and the center of Nidri. Even there are many shops and restaurants just around the hotel, it is very quiet there overnight.

We enjoyed the holidays and liked the hotel. Even there were some minor issues, we rate the hotel with 4*.

Special thanks to Katharina and her team!

Stayed for a week in August. Had a lovely time, rooms basic as expected from pictures. As per other reviews they were clean but what I’d call surface clean. Some shampoo had dropped on to shower floor on our first night and it was still there on the last which says the floor wasn’t cleaned during our stay.
The hotel is looking tired in areas, the walls of the pool also on the grubby side.
Owners and staff are great, location is great. Pool never over crowded and has a nice feel to it.
Bar prices are high. Half litre of wine 10e compared to average 6.5e in the town for example.
Overall. Nothing terribly but equally nothing spectacular

We've just had another great fortnight at the palmyra nidri.
Still as good as ever.
Since our last visit there is a new member of Savvas team, the lovely Marcella. She looked after everyone around the pool area. She also searched the grounds to regularly feed the cat who had just had 5 kittens.
Being the last two weeks in May and therefore early season Nidri wasent too busy which suited us.
Savvas set up the TV so we could watch the FA cup final which pleased our friends as they wanted Man U to win.

Amazing hotell next to everything but far enough from noices of the city. Staff members were friendly and breakfast exellent (there was bacon, scrambled eggs, breads, cerealls, oatmeal, olives, cheese and ham for bread, greek cheese, vegetables, dry fruits and sweet pastrys). You could get hamburgers, breds, frenshfryes and other small snacks if you want to eat at hotell. We went to city every day and eat in different restaurants. There were many great restaurants asswell as bakerys. Main road to city starts right next to hotell and in other side there is a swimming beach with wonderfull seats and umbrellas for the shade. Plus there is a lovely smoothie/drink bar. All sorts off water activities can be started just nearby. It's easy to travell anywhere from hotell. Bus stop is nearby and the bus goes to Vasiliki and maincity. Car rentals are alloround were you could get car, scooter or ATV easily. During our trip we walked everywere because everything was really nearby.

We arrived at the hotel and had a lovely welcome from Savvas who checked us in.
We were allocated a split-level family room and were told that if we were not happy we would be able to move rooms in three days.
The room small with double and had a spiral staircase in the corner that led to another room with twin beds. All of the wardrobes were upstairs. It had a large balcony where the sink fridge and cooking hob were situated. It’s also had an amazing Seaview.
We decided to make the switch to a same level family room on day three and it was much better for us. This time we had a view of the pool and the mountains beyond.

The pool whilst quite small is adequate for the people that use it and we found that there was never a problem getting a sunbed. There were times when we were the only people around the pool. Sunbeds were super comfy with padded mattresses on them.

Katerina was amazing. She was always on hand to provide drinks and food which were all of a good standard. We ate lunch here many times my daughter especially liked the Maradona Burger and they were always happy to swap my chips for salad.

Position wise the hotel is within a few steps of the beach where there are hotel sunbeds free to use. We are pool people so did not go to the beach which is quite stony.
The main area for restaurants on the harbour front is a 10 minute stroll away.

We really enjoyed our time here at the Palmyra hotel and for the family that run it nothing was too much trouble.

My only negative would be that’s whilst they offer self catering facilities there isn’t much room for any food preparation although we do not tend to self cater ourselves as we eat out.

Will we be back? I’m sure at some point, we definitely will.

We were looking for a small friendly hotel, close to the beach and to other amenities, so we could have a serious wind down and we could not have found a better place or a better hotel.
The rooms were very spacious, immaculately cleaned every day, bed very comfy.
Our hosts, their family, and staff were wonderful and could not do enough for you. Pool and sunbeds were great, and there no problem getting beds, and it really is a great suntrap. Amazing food, drinks, and snacks.
The beach is less than 5 min stroll, a bit pebbly, so take beach shoes. They have their own sunbeds and even bring you drinks and snacks if you want them.
There are shops and an amazing Bakery close by and at night the harbour with restaurants bars etc were amazing.
This was genuinely one of the very best holidays we've had and I would recommend this hotel to everyone.
One pointer, take mosquito spray as they are fairly lively as this is a very green island.
I think the fact that 70% of the guests there were frequent visitors says it all. We most certainly will be back

We stayed a few days in a family room at this hotel. They were two connecting rooms, a kitchenette and bathroom. It was very clean, with two balconies overlooking the pool.

The lady at the bar was incredibly nice and very attentive towards the children. Every day at the end of the afternoon it was happy hour, with discounts on delicious cocktails.

The pool is quite large, and deep, but the beach is also a 2-minute walk away. The main road through Nidri with shops and restaurants is also a few minutes walk away. We enjoyed it and would definitely book again.

hi - there are small supermarkets nearby where you can get everything you require - the kitchenette area is not that big, we had 2 rings, sink and a fridge. And mostly cooked pasta for my son :-) and we always had breakfast on the balcony - either boiled eggs, cereal etc (no toaster) thanks
