We have family in the Loire Valley so knew the area quite well when we selected this Holiday Accommodation. We weren’t looking for anything spectacular, just a bed and preferably a pool. What we got was spectacular. We arrived in France early on the ferry from Dieppe. The drive was easy on the toll roads and we got to the...

Martial the owner is absolutely great to welcome you and help you feel at home. His guided visit ( if you ask for it) of the Mill ( been here since the 14th century for the older parts) and the small islands. Rooms are great, ask for one overlooking the river. Martial will also helpyou find a good dining place...

Martial was a great host, advising on things to do and places to eat in Troo. The whole place was beautiful, and in such a beautiful peacefull setting at the edge of the village of Troo which in itself is also lovely. Highly recommended

Lovely old house to stay in. Pretty rooms with good facilities. Extremely helpful owner, who served excellent breakfast and spoke good English. Beautiful grounds, very peaceful location. Can recommend eating at the Cheval Blanc hotel, within walking distance of the Moulin. Had fab meal there. Troo has a very interesting history, with Troglydite caves to explore.

L'lle o Reflets is an interesting house in a beautiful location. The host was very welcoming, the room clean and comfortable and we were happy with the breakfast. Less agile visitors may need to watch out for low beams and loose floorboards but for us these were not too much of a problem. We were disappointed, however, that we were...

Martial welcomed us incredibly warmly and showed us our room which was superbly appointed. Wonderfully comfy beds, terrific modern, clean plumbing, great decor, in a fabulous old house but beautifully updated. He recommended some superb restaurants and was the epitome of a great host. We would - and will - return!

We have just spent a relaxing week in Troo, perfect for a quiet escape from the busy life at home. Martial was the perfect host, nothing was too much trouble, attentive but not intrusive. The location is very quiet and the accommodation is quirky, interesting and extremely tranquil. We will have enduring, happy memories of our time in the Loire.

This area was unknown to us before our holiday in August, and we took a chance on booking L'Ile o Reflets. We need not have worried. This tranquil and charming oasis of natural beauty was simply perfect. Martial our host was warm, friendly and helpful in every way without being intrusive. His advice on restaurants, wines places to visit etc...

Not at all your conventional B&B! For those who like quirky and unusual places while at the same time enjoying a warm reception in a peaceful and interesting area of France, this is it! Despite our losing his dog within a few hours of arrival, Martial went overboard to make our stay special and we have great memories of a...

What a fabulous find in a small little villiage with access to all the Loire Castles. Though a bit of a drive from the major Castles, this relaxing retreat is perfect for couples or families looking to escape the business of life. Martial is absolutely fabulous. We were the first guests in his newly renovated guest house and Martial was...
