I have just returned from an amazing short break in Kefalonia where I stayed at Sotiris Studios. My room was a small apartment with a balcony and sea view and had everything I could need. The room was very clean and tidy and was visited everyday by the cleaning staff. The food was delicious home cooked Greek food, plenty of it and great value. I arrived just as the season was winding down so the whole area had a very laid back feel. Beach is 5 minutes walk away and a supermarket the same in the opposite direction. Dimitrious and Josh behind the bar served up some amazing cocktails and kept us entertained, with Caitlin doing a fantastic job through the day. The perfect place to relax. Very friendly and approachable people. I loved it so much I will be returning for a longer break next year. Would highly recommend Sotiris Studios.

This was our second time in Kefalonia and our first staying at Sotiris. Perfectly located for us and everything you would expect from an apartment in Greece. 4 stars because: A) if you want to self cater, you’d need to be a bit creative with limited facilities and utensils (2 cooking rings and no bread knife). Didn’t bother us as we just need a fridge and eat out anyway. B) single beds are SO hard and mattresses really need replacing. Double bed however, very comfy. C) Wi-Fi pretty sketchy. Good hairdryer in the room and powerful shower with plenty of hot water. Air con worked fine, just one unit above the front door and 5€ a day. Basic apartments but that’s Greece! For a good base, you don’t need any more unless you want to pay for luxury. Location perfect. Loved seeing the planes flying over as Sotiris is by the airport. Planes are few and far between so they don’t disturb and didn’t hear any through the night. Other reviews have mentioned ‘there is nothing here’! Do your homework before you book and check out the location - common sense really! There are a couple of beaches within walking distance, decent supermarket and a couple of nice restaurants. Otherwise, hire a car as we did. There is a bus stop round the corner and buses seemed to be regular/reliable and just a couple of Euros I think. Lassi is 10 mins away and Argostoli another 5 mins beyond that. Staff at Sotiris are extremely friendly and helpful. We had a special relationship with our hard working cleaner (Masha?) who is due to have a baby girl in less than 2 months! Pool is a good size with comfy, if not a bit sweaty looking sun loungers! We went to different beaches and drove to various locations and didn’t use the pool, but it’s a quiet place and very relaxing. We ate at Sotiris one night and the food was very good. We love Kefalonia (and all the Greek islands we have visited). We wouldn’t hesitate to rebook Sotiris given the chance, but do replace those mattresses! Thank you for a great experience and we hope to see you again!

5th time at Sotiris. It was a bit different this time as we were in the 'old' Sotiris apartments. Previously we have stayed in the apartments where the 'infinity pool' is but there has been a lease issue and is now being run by different people. Our apartment was typicall Greek - in need of a makeover. However, all we need is a bed, shower and a fridge as we don't spend time in the apartment. The show was the besr one we've had since going ot Sotiris. However, the fridge was awful. The freezer/ice compartment was fully iced up and the door to it was missing so the fridge part barely got cool never mind cold. Luckily we'd taken some icepacks and used them to keep the food/drink cold. Aside form the , all was good. Spents the day around the pool. The bar service was good and veery freindly satff. The main person (doing everything it seemed) is called Katelin I think. She definitly deserves a medal as works for dawn to dusk and beyond :) Would definitely go again but would avoid room B3 ;)

Dirty .Lazy staff .Dirty cutlery . To much to report on. Avoid this place absolutely awful. Oh and on the funny side safe in cupboard in room you can quite simply pick up put under your arm and toddle of with it WHAT. !!!! Beautiful gardens. Maybe the gardener should be put in charge of the studios at least he/ she is compassionate about there work and standards.

We stayed here from 27th August - 3rd September and throughly enjoyed our stay. We had a lovely room on the ground floor that was spacious enough for 2 girls who packed an unnecessary amount of clothes for 7 nights. The room may have been slightly outdated but it was still clean and practical. When we stayed it was upwards of 30 degrees even in the evening. You do have to pay €5 a night to use the air conditioning which was more than worth it as it worked perfectly and kept the room cold all day and all night - making it easy to sleep in the heat. Another thing to note about the room would be the fridge size! Most hotels have a mini fridge with little room in but our apartment had a nice sized under the counter fridge which was perfect as we bought 3 bottles of spirits in the airport and could still fit in 10 x 1.5 litres of water and 3 bottles of fizzy. We also had a very roomy ground floor balcony with a table and two chairs as well as space to hang all our wet clothes. Whilst staying here we were half board. We would like to reiterate how AMAZING the breakfast and dinner options were. This wasn’t the usual all inclusive buffet food as we chose items from the menu every day. As a vegetarian this was particularly helpful as the staff offered me many alternatives to the meat dishes for every dinner. Not forgetting the jugs of wine every evening and the cocktails made at the bar were incredible! Whilst planning this week away we had a selection of restaurants we wanted to visit that were local however we didn’t eat out at all as we were so impressed by the dinner options. The breakfast was also delicious, although there was a set menu, the staff were very accommodating in allowing us to make changes and order basically whatever we wanted. The hotel is in a great location in the quieter part of kefalonia. The lady at the bar told us that the bus stop and the shop was just down the road which was very helpful. The shop was just under a 5 minute walk away, selling everything from parasols and ice creams to dinnerware and fridge magnets - all reasonably priced too. In the opposite direction was Ammes Beach which was less than a 5 minute walk. Every evening we walked to the beach to watch the sunset which never dissapointed. Just outside the beach was the bus stop which took us to Argostoli. Here we found many food spots, tourist shops and boat trips. We spent a day on the Queen Bee which was reasonably priced including 3 beach stops and lunch (aswell as unlimited wine). The bus also had many other beach stops such as Lassi beach. Overall we had an amazing stay at Sotiris Studios due to the great food, location, atmosphere and staff - who we hope are doing another season next year when we return!

We stayed at Sotiris Studios for 10 night in August, it was pretty much what we were expecting. Rooms were nice, we had 2a & 2c (12 & 14), i ended up n one of the put up beds, it was pretty hard, but i will managed to get a decent sleep and the a/c was good. Kitchen facilities were fairly basic, but we didn't expect to be cooking 3 course meals, we had breakfast in the hotel and ate in the restaurant in the evening on most days, the food was lovely and the staff were very friendly. We hired a car so we had the opportunity to go to different areas, Argostoli was a short drive away, so we went there on a couple of occasions, i would recommend going before 11am to see the Sea Turtles (head right, not towards the Cruise Ship), or go in the evening after about 6pm, its much livelier with the hussle and bussle of the shops, bars and restaurants been open. All in all it was a great family holiday, Kefalonia is pretty quiet, Sotiris is a short walk to a fantastic (but small) beach and has a few restaurants close by. I'd recommend the hotel and island for a 7 day chilled holiday, young kids will love the pool area, they have very comfortable loungers for the adults as well.

Stayed here for 11 nights in July as a family with 2 children. Accommodation is basic but spacious, clean and comfortable. Self-catering kitchen facilities weren't great, but we hadn't planned to stay in and cook/eat in the apartment so we didn't mind. We stayed bed and breakfast and enjoyed breakfast each morning, plenty of choice. Usual problem of people claiming sunbeds - some mornings they were all claimed by 8am. This is down to the other guests though, no fault of the hotel. Pool area was clean and tidy. Staff were friendly and hard working. Lovely beach around 5 minutes walk away and a few restaurants to choose from. There's a bus stop just by the beach which runs a fairly regular service to Argostoli, we visited a few times. Overall, we had a great holiday. Would stay here again and recommend to others wanting a quiet, laid back Greek holiday.

The hotel rooms are very dated but the outdoor space is pretty. The rooms are large with lovely big balconies with seating. Unfortunately the breakfast service is extremely slow and the food wasn’t great. The waitress was one of the rudest people I’ve ever met in a hotel or restaurant. You also have to pay extra for the air conditioning. WiFi worked in most areas. It’s walking distance to the beach and bus stop, and there are some amazing restaurants just a short walk away.

Basic but impeccably clean, great food and friendly staff. Cleaners came everyday. Pool is spotless and also cleaned everyday. Beautiful gardens. 5 mins (drive) from airport and beach - 5 mins walk. Great location. Planes do fly over, but we didn’t mind this as such a good location.

Basic room, but clean and has everything you need. Lovely pool area, always got a sunbed no problems. Great breakfast choices. Lovely restaurants within walking distance and amazing sunset views! So easy to get the bus from above the beach to lassi and Argostoli and well worth it. argostoli is lovely loads of shops and restaurants and we saw turtles every time we went. The beach at Lassi is also well worth a visit as was beautiful. Would recommend and would stay again
