Stayed here for a mid week break to do some walking in the area. We received a warm welcome when we arrived and were shown to our room which was very nice, very clean and a large comfy bed. We ate both nights in the bar next to the open fire which was great as the weather had turned quite... More

The Duke of Wellington is not over the top - its menu is short, its bars friendly, the rooms perfect rather than huge. Its a complete package of good food, a traditional pub, a country location that make the whole picture so comfortable. It doesn't overdo anything, its not flamboyant and loud, its just plain honest good.

Popped in yesterday with a couple of mates after a nice walk in the Danby area. No food at lunchtimes but very nice beer served by friendly barman (Charlie). Lovely cosy pub with roaring fire. Dog friendly too.

I needed somewhere to stay whilst visiting the North Yorkshire Moors Railway and this place fitted the bill perfectly. Nice clean rooms with wifi. Good choice of ales and excellent food. Staff very friendly and the locals were not hostile to intruders. All in all a pleasant experience.

A few miles south of the busy A171 road, Danby seems to inhabit a different world. The Esk Valley is peaceful and beautiful, and has no main roads - a good point or a bad point, depending on a visitor's requirements. As a result, there are no buses in the immediate area, and care is needed in driving - there... More

Food was stunning both breakfasts and evening meals. The lamb chops cooked in mustard were ooooòoooooooo nice... Lovely to come back to after a days walking. The Daleside ale on draft was very nice too... More

A traditional public house with great pub food. The food was sourced locally, we had breakfast and evening meals in the pub. The room was what you expect from a public house, all you require and very clean. The staff were professional and attentive. An excellent location for visiting the moors, but also the local coast is easy to get... More

After a hectic week in Ireland and 3 full-on days in Glasgow, our stay in this little piece of Heaven in Corbridge was just what we needed to rest and re-energise. The Duke of Wellington Inn has a cosy, friendly country elegance along with great service from Management and Staff. The food is yummy. Our room was spotless and comfortable....loved... More

Pretty village pub, in a fantastic location on the North Yorkshire moors. Staff attentive and helpful. The full Englush breakfast is highly recommended. Lots of walking and wildlife to see in the area.

Friendly staff, gorgeous food especially the sausages on the breakfast. Cheap stay for bed and breakfast but lovely clean rooms and friendly locals. Would recommend having an evening meal as the food is really nice. We will definitely be visiting again!
