Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Beautiful antique mansion when Mr. Giacomo welcomes you with all egards. He and his wife are very friendly. Forget any plans you might had make, listen to Mr. Giacomo, his ideas are brilliant, especially his restaurant-suggestions. We stayed for 4 nights and had a wonderful few days. I would recomment it to everyone who wants to stay in the region.

Villa Ducci is a nice villa to stay. The owner (mr. Guillamo) and his wife are very kind. They can tell you a lot of which places to visit in the area. If you're are in the area, I would recommend this place!

We have had a wonderful holiday at this B & B. The care is excellent and the breakfast is delicious! The owner is very helpful and does everything for his guests to feel at sense. The B & B is a good base for Cinque Terre, La Spezia or just for a sunny day at the beach.

We are husband and wife from Denmark with to children 8 and 10 years old. We stayed at the Vill for 3-4 days. The Villa is vary romantic and kept in the old style. The villa have a terrace where we had breakfast which was made by Giacomo himself we believe, and it was very nice. We could feel it was made with passion and a wish that we should have a nice time at the villa. Giacomo was very friendly and gave us some good tips about the best Pizza restaurant in the area, which was a nice place to visit. In general a nice friendly host who is very willing to inform about the area and history which is very good. We also visited Cinque Terre and all five villages, which was amazing. Actually we go back to Cinque Terra again 2011 and stay at the northen city, just because or stay in 2010 was a success for our family.

I stayed at Villa Ducci for four nights this August and I would really recommend it to all travellers who look for a quiet place to stay near Cinque Terre and the charming towns of the Italian Riviera! The Villa is located in the hills above La Spezia which make the location a perfect starting point to discover the coast between Genua and La Spezia and also to make trips to the Tuscany (eg. Lucca). To go to La Spezia you definitly need a car, but from there you can take the train or boat to the places to see. The Villa itself is an old mansion which was renovated and has fours rooms and an apartment to let. We stayed in the red room which was very spacious and clean. Beside the private rooms there is also a big living room to relax and have a look at the books about the region. Breakfast was served at a terrace with a nice view. Also free private parking was available. Most unexpected was the hospitality of the Villa's owner Giacomo. His very helpful suggestions and tipps made our stay very convienent - it was like visiting a friend! With his help for planning we had perfect days with trips to Portovenere, Cinque Terre, Portofino, Camogli, Lerici,... All in all it was a perfect place to stay, defintitly the best B&B of our tour (we also stayed in Florence, Bologna, Bellagio, Peschiera) and I hope to come back some time. c.radon@gmx.at PS. Don't get confused some other reviews which refer to another Villa Ducci located in the Tuscany but posted here!!!

Just returned from a 3 night stay at Villa Ducci - very comfortable, very clean, both in the rooms and the public areas within the Villa grounds. The food was excellent and not at all expensive. The owners made us feel very welcome and even though there is a bar, did not bother about us drinking our own purchased alcohol from the supermarket. We would recommend the Villa Ducci for an excellent break in Tuscany.
