This resort is overpriced in comparison to other Koh Jum resorts. The resort is located on a hillside with over 200 steps to get from the road to the reception at sea level. To get to the resort you must travel along a dirt road which is rutted, steep in places and strewn with small rocks. Taxi is the best way to get here and if you choose to hire a scooter take extreme care on this road. I stayed here for 3 nights and found the lacotion to be peacful. The cottages are set up the hillside in a well established area of trees. The resort shows many signs of needing maintenance, probably stemming from the COVID closure of over 2 years. However, the two resorts nearby are much better maintained. The food at the resort is average, I ate dinner here each night, but the breakfast is unacceptable for the price you pay. Very poor selection of items. If you are looking to stay in one place for your stay, prepared to put up with the run down nature of the resort then this is a great place to unwind. If not, and you want to explore the island and go to different cafes etc. I suggest staying somewhere else. There are monkeys here but they did not cause me any trouble. The pool is a good size but with clear signs of algae growing on the walls. All the staff were friendly and helpful. Wifi is not good at all and certainly not high speed. I take into account that Koh Jum is a very uncommercialised island but this resort needs to do better.

Hi , I would like to leave an honest review of this resort, I travelled with a group of nine of us two family's with kids all over the age of ten. Firstly the resort is in a beautiful location off the beaten track with a stunning backdrop, we arrived by longboat directly to the resort from the mainland after a stay in Koh Lanta. The resort overall does not unfortunately represent any value for money, It's disappointing as many other resorts seem to thrive in similar situations. The breakfast was nothing short of unacceptable, a very poor selection of food so we decided to eat next door and pay for it. The same goes across the board for this resort , Its has super potential and with good management it would be a great place to stay. Hopefully the future will bring its potential.

This resort had recently re opened after 2 years during COVID . The staff and catering were very satisfactory considering the resort had fallen in complete disrepair with wild monkeys, dangerous walkways, electrical connections etc, no apparent health and safety, deshevelled buildings power cuts and roads impassable to the extent we had to wade out into the sea to be able to leave.

Construction noise in Hotel all day and until 2 am at night, which made it inpossible to relax at all. We weren't informed beforehand, which should be the bare minimun!Hotel overall in a really bad shape. No Wifi working in room, hardly working in public ares. Room wasn't cleaned once during a 4 night stay, water not refilled e.g. Breakfast is really bad! You get slices of toast and sausage, excpexted alot more for the price. Also, breakfast is promoted a different way on homepage and booking.com. Room very filthy and smelled musty. Check in staff very unpleasant, nothing was explained and we felt like a burden when we asked for Wifi password, breakfast hours e.g. There are better options in Koh Jum, do not choose this Hotel.

The Ocean beach resort must be one of the greatest places on earth to relax. The friendly staff, the great food and perfect location makes for a lovely stay. When the tide hits the swimming is perfect and if you want to take a trip with the canoe there are plenty to rent/borrow. We had the "family" villa which was perfect for our family of four. There are a lot of stairs but no problems for us. Everyone in the staff did everything to makes us feel at home during our 3 nights stay. We'll be ack!

We went to Koh Jum for the first time and stayed here for 4 nights, loved this beachfront resort. It has just a couple of nearby additional dining options to choose from, so going to other places for meals is kind of limited unless you drive. (Note: the first portion of the road is a bit "tricky" for taking the scooter/moped, so maybe walk or take a taxi would be best to go to the local village, or to get to further South locations on the beach where you can find additional bars and restaurants. The beach otherwise is lovely, great sunsets, good swimming. The staff is truly amazing, so helpful and sweet! We loved the restaurant, and especially the breakfast buffet. They even grow some of their fresh organic veggies in their own garden!! Our friends stayed in their "boat room" which look like a boat from the outside, and is just a fun luxury room option, not cheap though! We would definitely stay here again, on a future visit of the island. And recommend this hotel to others - who are NOT opposed to climbing some serious STAIRS to go to their room for the night - as the hotel is built into the hillside! ;-)

We made our first trip to Koh Jum Island a couple of weeks ago and were happily surprised to have stumbled on this uncrowded little gem in the Andamman. Koh Jum Ocean Beach Resort was very peaceful and located on a secluded beach, accessible by boat and by car. Of our 2 months holidays, we spent 10 days in this hotel and we really enjoyed peace, quiet, beautiful sunsets and good food. The hotel has a great restaurant with a good chef that prepared us freshly-made and tasty organic meals. We liked the added touch that they even grow their own vegetables in their farm at the hotel. Manager Pat and her assistant Wit are very friendly and accommodating. They were always ready to give us advice and look after our needs so we could fully our enjoy holiday. They did their best to make our stop in the island a memorable one. We highly recommend this hotel.

When you arrive at the resort from the long-tail boat you are welcomed by friendly and personable staff. Our room was ready for us despite arriving very early. The staff gave us some information about the resort and surrounding area before showing us to our room. The steep climb to our room was well worth the effort as we were rewarded with a fantastic, well equipped bungalow with views overlooking the pool and ocean. The room was clean on arrival and staff cleaned the room daily and replenished bottled water and coffee/tea on a daily basis. The pool/pool area was extremely clean and well kept and the pool was a good size. We stayed for 3 nights and practically had the pool to ourselves for the duration of our stay. The hotel also provide free kayaking and snorkeling equipment. Breakfast was good albeit limited choice. There was either an American breakfast or Thai breakfast along with coffee, fruit and yoghurt. We ate lunch/dinner a couple of times and although a little pricey it was really nice (pizza was awesome). There are also a few other restaraunts along the beach. The restaraunt is pretty much set on the beach with spectacular views of the ocean and phi phi islands. If you are looking for a peaceful and relaxed stay with friendly and attentive staff then book to stay here! There is currently some work being undertaken to improve the resort however this did not disrupt our stay whatsoever.

We stay there for 2 nights. The first night they upgrade us to a room by the sea because all the other room were full. That was nice but they force us to move on the second night. All the seaview room were empty and no booking on that day, i really don't see the point of moving us for 1 night. This was really frustrating and time consuming for nothing. Also they gave us the wrong time for the fairy schedule, so we end up running to the pier super early. Didn't have time to enjoy breakfast and got to the pier 1 hour in advance. So end up just waiting there for an hour. Other than that, room is nice, Food is okay. I would definitely go back. I just think this place is a bit miss manage.

A Nice bungalow Resort wit a Nice beach when it is High tide. At low tide it is impossible to swimmingpool in the ocean, but then there is a lovely swimmingpool. As the Resort is placed on the Hill side there is a lot of starrs, so it is not recomended to people with problems to walk. If you are in for snorkling it is not recomended. The restaurant and bar is ok, but the staff could be more serviceminded, as we often waited some time before They reacted. We stayed for five days, and had diner at the restaurant all evenings, and we never experienced to have our food ( Four people ) at the same time. I don't Think that I Will return to Koh Jum and this Resort again.
