Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.

This is a 2 star resort. It has a beautiful location being absolute beach front with a lovely sandy beach. Staff and managment were very frinedly and helpful. The resort is showing its age and certainly needs some maintenance. Lots of concrete throughout the resort which can exacerbate the heat. My room was very basic. Air conditioning worked but the remote failed and I could not turn the unit off until the staff arrived the next morning with a new battery. Bathroom is very basic indeed. Toitet does not accept any toilet tissue being flushed. Shower was awful with very little flow of water. I only had breakfast here one morning and it was average. There are much better places to eat down the beach. Dissapointed to have staff smoking while they waited to serve the tables, smoke blew over the restaurant area. Not at all acceptable to me. It was 1800 Baht a night without breakfast. I thought this was expensive for what I recieved but it is on an island only accessible by boat. Taking all into account I would not recommend this resort.

Third visit. Went for the best room they have this time, sea front with terrace. Staff are all excellent and cannot do enough to help. Place isn't that popular with families so is nice and quiet and not overrun with kids, unlike Seasons bungalows. Great location, food is fine, prices are reasonable. One warning - the floor in the dining area is lethal bare foot. I've broken a toe before, and this time I scrubbed the skin off the front of my big toe when tripping. The floor tiles are spaced out and the filler is concrete. It is the grippiest surface known to man. If you catch / stub a toe when walking, it will grip, and either peel the skin, or break. This is compounded by the fact the tree roots have made the floor very uneven in places. Just be warned. I'd keep my shoes on if I were you. One of the staff does...

Back after 2 years. 1000 baht for an AC room with a sea view. Lovely staff, they'll bring food and drinks to your room and on the beach. Sea is lovely. Little challenging for a few days when the low tide is during the day. But you only have to walk a few mins either way to find better swimming. The piped music is mind numbing and needs to go :-) beds are very firm. Still love the place. Done it twice now. Highly recommended.

We stayed here 2 times years ago. Everything was different this time as the owner/receptionist is another person with horrible manners and only thinks of money. We did not pay the first day on arrival as we needed to wait for 24 hours for our mastercard credit refund (we did not think this was a problem as we will stay 8 days,so plenty of time to pay). The next morning we realised the breakfast was not included. We went to the reception to ask if they forgot it but the women (owner) told us in a very bad way that it is not included and that we should pay NOW those 8 nights. We tried to talk to her: how the price is almost the same as in Booking with breakfast and we don't get it. She did not even let us to finish any phrase and just started to shout that they gave us a good price and we need to pay NOW and that we speak too much! She repeted that people here don't have to speak just pay their rooms and food. We started to doubt if we want to stay here for another 7 nights so we just went back to our room to think what to do. (Just minutes before we left some Laundry for them to do). We calm down and thought ok, anyway we are already here with a small child and let's not make a big problem of all that and pay those 8 nights and never again come close to this women. After an hour we came to reception and before we could pronounce a word they gave us back our laundry saying the machine was broken (not truth of course). And this women again started to say we have to pay NOW and for her is ok if we pay this 1st night we stayed and we can leave if we don't like here. We were shocked, she just pushed us out of the resort! Another manager stepped in saying he will not charge us the first night because this woman wants us to leave now. So we left to another resort. This was so horrible situation but at last we are very gratefull they did not let us stay those 8 nights! Koh Jum has changed as well- some strange small jelly fish bitting you in the sea, not clear water, constructions everywhere, many more people in the island. We travelled to Kradan island instead and it was a paradise with clean clear waters, white sand and loads of corals and fish!

We stated 5 nights. Both this property and Koh Jum were highlights of a 4 mth SE Asia tour. It surpassed our expectations. Room was very comfy and positioned so we could see the sea from our balcony. No a/c but very effective with fan usage. Beach front restaurant and bar with good, well priced food and friendly staff. Beach was a long mainly empty stretch of sand with just a few other properties along it. Long peaceful walks along the beach to these other places for a cold beer to watch the sunset over Phi Phi or a cooling shake during the heat of the day. Property has scooter rental at good prices even down to hourly rate. Best option 24 hours split over 2 days. You can cover island in a couple of hours - 1 road north/south with just 4 short feeder roads east/west. Everything else is dirt tracks to get to some deserted beaches. Perfect. Local restaurants selling very good fresh seafood at very good prices. A perfect peaceful getaway. Can't wait to get back!

Super friendly staff and nice food. Not sure about rooms as we just been eating here. We had some fried barracuda and it was nice but not the best. Worth checking out in the evening if you are around.

Just came back from Andaman Beach Resort on 14th of April. I and my family arrived the hotel around 11 AM. Fortunately, we were allowed to check in and proceeded to the room immediately. We booked Normal room (no air con) + one complimentary extra-bed; however, while we were walking to the room, we saw another room (which was V.9) which was located right next to the beach. Therefore, we paid for the upgrade, and it was worth! There are 2 king size beds plus 1 comfortable sofa. The room is spacious and immaculate. The view was also spectacular! Con - There was no breakfast included (have to order a la carte) - The staff members should be more attentive (especially, in the restaurant area). - Wifi service was only in the lobby area. Overall - Good but can be improved

This beachfront resort is ideal for a few days of peace and quiet. We stayed in a fan chalet, which was simply furnished. Loved the seating outside with a seaview. The location is beautiful, with a reastaurant virtually on the beach. This particular resport is popular with older people and families, it's very calm and relaxing and super quiet at night.. Please note that when you arrive on the ferry, a longtail boat picks you up from the ferry and you need to wade through shallow water to finally arrive on the island. You have plenty of help with your bags though!

Unimpressed with setting, service and rocks in the sea, which seemed oily 3/4 hour wait for simple rice dishes. Waiters were bored rigid. And we were as well. Think they went to look for a crab and a chicken.

We found this resort by coincidence - came to Koh Jum without having booked anything. The Tourist information pointed the place among other hotels. This place is very fairly prized - you really get a lot for the money. The staff is SO FRIENDLY - you say that the Thai people is very friendly but the management and staff on this resort really takes it all - they made sure all the guest were happy. We booked tours from the hotel, and the quality was very good - and the cost was cheaper then in the tourist office on Koh Jum. The location is perfect - right on the beach. NB! Most of the beach in Koh Jum is not white sand and light blue water. It has a lot of rocks ins the water and on the beach - however it’s so pretty nature - and it’s perfect for long walks in the sunset. On the northwest side of the beach is a small Laguna where there is not many rocks - very good for a swim. All in all - Koh Jum was surprisingly one of the best places on our trip around Thailand and the islands. We will definitely come back - and will definitely stay on this resort again. Family with 3 children :)
