Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Lovely peaceful stay. Comfy bed. Hosting was excellent, we were left alone but Pip was on the end of internal phone if we wanted anything. Breakfast was amazing and we tried the cooked version too and that was brilliant, local produced cooked perfectly. Thick bacon slices beats supermarket options. Lovely fresh eggs from her own friendly hens. Will stay again.

Wow, what a fabulous gem of a place to stay! We had a great relaxing break and enjoyed walks and exploring the local area. The welcome and service at MW was exceptional and the comfort and location with views simply astonishing. Will definitely stay again ... and the local pub William IV did great food. Pips cooked breakfasts at MW are a "must have"!

My wife and I had a wonderful stay at Magazine wood - staying in the room located at the eastern end of the main house. The room it self was immaculate with a large bathroom which included both a bath and a shower. The bed was really comfortable The well stocked mini fridge contained milk, butter and fresh orange juice and the fresh fruit salad and butter for our breakfast. Bread croissants and cereal were also provided and included in the room rate. Beer wine and snacks also available but chargeable. I also opted for the very reasonably priced cooked breakfast which was brought to the room at the agreed time. All in all a very pleasant stay right on Peddars Way, so we enjoyed a great walk to the South after breakfast. Highly recomended.

Magazine wood is a such a beautiful place, you can tell a lot of thought and care has been put into it. The surrounding views and landscape are amazing & provide some good walks. The locality has quite a few places to visit and eat etc too. We found the room to be very clean, comfortable and it had everything we needed for a much needed break. Breakfast was delicious! we only wish we could have stayed longer.

Stayed here a number of times in the summer months but a winter stay was a revelation. Although I prefer the annex because it is lighter, the garden room is spacious, comfortable and luxurious. The wildlife is wonderful - huge skeins of geese every morning. Walks from the front door are amongst the best in Norfolk.

Magazine wood is absolutely stunning and we can’t wait to book again. The property is beautiful and perfect for dog walking. Everything was seamless. Thank you! We wished we had booked to stay longer and make use of the in room spa facility but there is always next time.

2 couples - cousins. We had the adjoining rooms Coast & Walker. Both roomy & comfortable with the most beautiful views. We didn’t get to use the verandas as it was a tad chilly outside. The anytime breakfast was ideal. Choice of breads, croissant, assorted jams, yoghurts, fresh chopped fruits, orange juice & fresh milk. With more than enough for supper too! Honesty wines beers & snacks if you wanted them. Cooked breakfast was also available to be brought to your room if wanted. Pip rang to check we had everything we needed But otherwise left us to enjoy our time there, which we did. This visit was to go to Thursford Christmas Spectacular that was about 25min drive. Also well worth a visit. We’d love to return & do some of the lovely walks in the area.

We loved everything about our stay at Magazine Wood! The room was spacious and the bed was comfortable. Breakfast was provided in the room and was beautifully arranged - there was a good choice and it was a perfect start to the day. It was lovely to have both a bath and a shower - really liked the products provided. The location is absolutely stunning - and visiting in autumn we were treated to gorgeous colours and easily accessible walks. Thank you :)
