We stayed at The Old Stables Cottage fro 2 weeks. Lovely owners who made us very welcome and nothing was too much trouble for them. A very well equipped cottage and it was 'home from home'. Very cosy too with such a comfortable bed! Great value too and close to amenities as well as tourist attractions. Would highly recommend this... More

Stayed two nights (Fri & Sat) end October 2016 with my mum for a local family wedding & this place is a little gem. Everything was lovely. Room was large, bright & airy with small but perfectly functional en-suite/shower room. Beds (twin-room) were exceptionally comfortable. Tea/coffee making facilities with great biscuits & bottled water & small fridge too. Big TV.... More

Have just had the lovely experience of spending two nights at Hollycroft. For an amazingly reasonable price, we slept in a large room (with soft duvet and pillows, kettle with tray of tea, coffee, chocolate and biscuits, large wardrobe with coathangers you could actually remove from the wardrobe (!) thick fluffy towels, and a stunning fireplace. All this plus a... More

Large double-fronted end of terrace property in attractive mature location, facing what was once, no doubt, the A1. Well presented inside and out with its character nicely maintained and a well-kept front garden. Beautifully furnished and decorated. There was no one in when I arrived so I sat on the front step enjoying the afternoon sunshine, having walked down from... More

Having to deal with a bit of an unexpected family issue, I was looking to make a last minute booking just for one night and was lucky enough to secure two rooms at Hollycroft. Both rooms were just lovely, just the job after a long journey. The beds were very comfortable, there was a kettle, tea, coffee, hot chocolate etc,... More

Stayed for 4 nights - Monday to Friday. Excellent room - smashing breakfast (full English or porridge, both excellent - as was the fresh fruit)- ideal location for cricket ground, bus services etc. We'll certainly be back - not least for the fluffy towels!

Booked my elderly father in for 2 nights while he visited us as we don't have the room. Room was very spacious with en-suite. Plenty of towels and refreshments. He really enjoyed his breakfasts! Hope to use again in future.
