Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Popped in here today after a horrid days holiday disaster. My mother was quite upset and needed a cuppa, and I needed some food before a long drive home. The duty manager and the barman were the sweetest. So kind, and brought delicious food which cheered us up. Can't wait to go back for a proper dinner. It's a gorgeous pub, cozy atmosphere, but its shining jewels are its staff. Whoever from the pub reads this, please pass on our thanks to whoever was working today - 17/11/23.

Booked this venue for seven people for Sunday lunch on 8th October. Food was delicious. Staff were friendly, efficient and accommodating. Would definitely recommend. We were originally put in the large dining room with no other customers. After a few minutes a member of staff asked if wanted to move to the bar area as a table big enough to accommodate our party had become available. How considerate! The bar area was great with a lovely atmosphere. Again great food great staff .

Nice pub , food looks impressive but not worth the £18 I paid for the roast beef . Something weird with the roast potatoes. Not sure if they’d been reheated as very tough to cut through . Very poor selection for vegetarians ( only 1 pasta dish) cutlery could do with being much sharper too . It was ok but wouldn’t rush back .

I did a 2 night stay in this hotel, staying overnight for a wedding about 10 minutes away. Unfortunately, my room was not thoroughly cleaned/turned over by the housekeeper properly. The bathroom had not been cleaned properly at all with the toilet itself unclean and the bathroom bin full with used sanitary products from the previous guest(s). There was mess on the floor beside the bed and on the bedside table from the previous guest(s) - despite raising this, it was not rectified. I also came across at least 2 long hairs under the duvet / within the double bed in the room. Unfortunately all of these things combined did not make my stay comfortable. It is unlikely that I would visit again.

Took my sister to the king's Head for supper..... absolutely devine food. Never had a waiter so knowledgeable across the board ....wines and menu...Waiting staff friendly, relaxed and helpful. Food was sensational..all four mains perfect, salad was substantial with the glorious crab, green beans cooked to beautifully, sea bass so succulent, lamb tender and tasty and katsu chicken burger out of this world.....puddings just as impressive. And we took the dog... can't ask for more! A lovely evening, good atmosphere, ...will book again for next month!

We stumbled on the King’s Head Hotel a few years ago after pumpkin picking up the road at Algi’s and we were looking for a lunch spot so parked up and had lunch. The food was exceptional! The service and ambiance were superb! A few months later I had returned to Norfolk and my friends had COVID so I was not able to visit with them and decided to try the hotel part of the King’s Head. The rooms are all BEAUTIFULLY appointed, clean and the beds…. SO comfortable! Each room is also appointed with hair drier, makeup mirror, large screen tv, kettle, cups, tea, coffee, biscuits, shampoos etc. My most recent trip (3rd stay), my boat back home was cancelled and I was forced to stay an extra night. It was peak season AND a Saturday, but Kelly, the manager, and Ross rose to the occasion and mercifully had a room available for the night. They could not have been more understanding and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. Over the last couple of years, it has become my non-local Local. It is my home away from home and another wonderful branch of family. So grateful! Look forward to my next visit!

We have stayed here on a few occasions now as our auntie lives in the village. The area is lovely and quiet, and the hotel itself is also a pub/restaurant and has a very cosy country atmosphere. We have had a different room each stay and they have always been very clean and spacious. The beds are huge and very comfortable for a great night's sleep! The staff have always been friendly and accommodating. The hotel is not too far from Hunstanton, Cromer etc and an easy drive. The evening meals have always been lovely, for the prices the portions are great. Breakfast is also fabulous with a great selection, the scrambled eggs are the best part. The only reason I have rated it down is because there is no cot available at the hotel when they advertise family rooms, so we have to bring our travel cot with us each time for our toddler which we don't usually have to for other hotels.

We used this hotel for a wake and I cannot recommend it enough! Not only does the venue look lovely but the sympathetic service and support in planning and putting on the event was nothing short of superb! Elizabeth the manager is truly lovely, extremely kind & empathetic. The staff were fabulous and the food was amazing. Plenty of gluten free was provided too. 20 out of 10 for this place, you won’t be disappointed 👍🏻

The roast beef dinner was the best I have tasted. The food served on warm plates, other places don't alway do that. The whole meal experience was great. The table service friendly and attentive. The interior of the pub was, atttractive and very maintained. Lovely garden too. Spacious with a sunny position.
