This is an Eco-camp and means no running hot water or air conditioning. Electric availability depended on solar power. We were first visitors of the season and had the place to ourselves. A few teething problems like the shower not working, but this was repaired when we reported it. A new chef in Hussein. He was fabulous and cooked us...

Great friendly place with clean rooms, bed linen and towels were changed regularly. Service also very good. Assistant-manager and cook Hussein proved tot be a real asset. His chicken and fish dishes were magnificent.

What a stunning place this Eco Lodge could be! Lamin was very helpful & knowledgeable about the area and the views from the lodges are amazing. It is a shame that the owners have let things get a little run down - broken parasols & loungers etc. With the amazing staff at this lodge with a little TLC and some...

We have just returned from 7 days at this place and although the place is beautiful and quiet (we were the only people staying there for half the week) the service is chaotic and slow. The staff are very kind and try to be helpful but they are constrained by the owner who is elsewhere and doesn't appear to be...

Just spent four lovely nights here. The bird life in the surrounding woods and particularly on the nearby lagoon were amazing. We ate fish from the nearby fishing village most nights and had the best omelettes for breakfast, the rooms were clean and the beds comfy. Perhaps the best thing about our whole stay was the staff who are extremely...

Just had 2 nights here........off the main roads, quiet, no bothersome bumsters, a real suprise.......and maybe best of all, I got my coffee at 6am! I am an early riser, and so often find, I have to wait till 8am......and I need my coffee! Lamin, the exceedingly helpful manager, brought a thermos of hot water, + all the neccessary bits,...

We were with a large group and camped in tents. We all liked the place very much. The atmosphere is tranquil and peaceful. You cab easily walk to the beach and see the real Gambian way of life. Really liked it.

Just back from a 7 night stay at this lovely, peaceful camp. Spacious enough, well-maintained rooms, friendly staff and tasty, simple food. The famous Tanji Bird Reserve is within easy walking distance but the grounds of the camp are alive with birds too. Drinking pools in the garden attracted a host of excellent species including such West African specialities as...

Pros: * Beautiful location * Friendly staff * Delicious food (cooked by Njet) * Large, cool rooms (and that without air con) thanks to the sea breeze * Waking up to the sound of the surf and birds singing * Varied bird life all the time * Varied walks right from the resort. To the lagoon to watch the sea...

Constructive criticism, JP. Thanks, for the feedback. Cons taken into consideration and will work on them accordingly. Hope to have you back in the near future in order for you to see the improvements. Thanks once again. Haddy

The location is wonderful, but we got fed up with the poor facilities - the shower was a dribble, our toilet seat had a huge crack, the sun loungers are topped with huge slabs of industrial foam. Service was ingratiating but inept. Worst of all we made the mistake of admitting that we hadn't checked the exchange rate yet... so...
