It's worth to stay overnight in Hongcun and especially in this hostel. It's a restored ancestry house with a lot of charm. Once you are there, you don't want to leave it ;-). The staff was helpful, but don't speak good English. I stayed in the mix dormitory and it was ok. For the food, go out of the old...

When I arrived, I was expecting a single bed with private bathroom, but this was obviously an issue to their already booked rooms, so they upgraded me to a bedroom with a bigger bed. Not sure if it was better, but at that point, it didn't matter to me. Before the owner was aware I had a reservation, he quoted...

The hostel itself was lovely, I had a great time there and even got my room upgraded for free for one of the two nights I was there. I loved the authentic feel to the hotel and the owner was also very nice. The location of the Hostel makes you feel like you are staying in real China and the...

I really enjoyed staying here. It's a cosy place in a beautiful historic building. The owner is very friendly and welcoming. It felt like I had a room in a family house rather than a hostel. Very homely. I hope I manage to return some day soon.

The inn is very nice,is a traditional chinesse house, as the other inns in town. The food was good but it is much cheaper go to a restaurant than stay at the inn. My friend and I stayed there only one night and we didn't like the hosts at all. We didn't talk to them too much but we saw...

Stayed for 2 weeks in early February and I have to say staying here was one of the most interesting and rewarding places I have travelled to in a long time. The food was amazing, the people at the Inn became like family and the village is nothing short of beautiful! If you go anywhere in China, go here.

Qingheyue Inn is located within Hongcun, an authentic traditional Chinese village, brimming with culture and filled with warm people. I stayed here for 10 days and felt very relaxed and happy - it offers a welcome relief from the hustle and pollution in the bigger cities of China. The owners Benyan and Xu Du are a very warm and fun...

I stayed in a 4-bed dorm and the room was elaborately decorated and half of the room was lit up by sunshine through a small piece of transparent glass put on the top of the roof, leaving the other half in shades, but not dark. Also, everything was so clean. I have later learned the owner and his co-owner wife...

Hongcun is a beautiful village and staying in Qingheyue makes you feel at home. The hostel is run by very friendly and warm people, who would help you to understand Chinese tea and the local environment. Both owners are seasoned travellers who have visited various parts of China and stayed in many hostels. Hence, i felt that they have tried...

When we first arrived here we really got a first good impression - the owners of the hostel (lovely couple) upgraded our room from a budget one to a deluxe one for free, and without any reason. (The hostel was almost empty at the time so). Then we got invited to share tea and rice wine at the evening, had...
