I've used a number of Travelodge hotels in the past but this is by far the best! The new Super rooms have all the features I need in a hotel plus the new showers are absolutely mint! I hope these Super rooms become the standard in all their hotels and not just this one in Winnersh.. Well "Winners" by name and "Winners" by nature this hotel I'll definitely use again in the future, lovely spacious breakfast area, tons of free parking and very helpful staff. The only sour note is that my own local Travelodge doesn't have these rooms with all the additional extras... Come on Travelodge... In the words of the great rapper D Double E "Think it's time to sort it out"... Travelodge get these Super rooms into all the Midlands travelodges too pretty please.

TLDR:
Great Hotel, great location car park is massive, New Super Rooms are kitted out with loads of space but still the same great budget price.

Was visiting Nirvana Spa in Wokingham and stayed here for a night. It is 'very' accessible (less than a 10min drive). Also, drove into Reading which was a 15 min drive . No difficulties parking as in an industrial estate and reception was very pleasant. We had a Super Room which has the added coffee machine and complimentary hot chocolate sachets, hair dryer and iron. Showcase cinema and eateries less than five minutes from hotel, as is a nature water park.

The staff are wonderful; friendly, professional and efficient; they will go that extra mile to help all guest enjoy a comfortable, trouble free stay at this Travelodge.

Location is good just off the main A329(M) connecting you to Reading and the Thames Valley towns; the train station is a flat five to ten minute walk away with direct trains to Reading (less than 10 minutes), Wokingham, Bracknell and London Waterloo (beware the many steps to the platforms and there is no lift).

The rooms are standard Travelodge; very clean and in good decorative order; the bar café serves a good eat as much as you like breakfast, the bar is open 24/7.

Working away for 11 nights and 12 days can get expensive on food. So you look for ways to budget and not waste money that you don't have spare (Especially during this Pandemic). My idea was a slow cooker, buy cheap ingredients and make some tea to last atleast a couple of days. Also bought a fridge (car powered and mains plug) to keep drinks, butter, fruit, milk etc cold.
I prepared a chicken casserole, veg and new potatoes. Nice healthy home cooked food, made whilst away from home. Having stayed in a Travel Lodge many times during the Pandemic, I have never been told that you are not allowed plug in devices to cook. So when I came back to my room mid week after leaving my casserole to cook, ready for when I return, only to find the slow cooker switched off and the attached correspondence from the management on the desk in the room. No I am always told that during the Pandemic there will be no cleaning of rooms until day 7 of my stay due to Covid safety guidelines. Yet the staff (especially) and management at this location were predominantly only interested in the issue with the Slow cooker, no consideration to my health and safety during covid. They blatantly broke their own Covid rules to enforce a rule (conditions of the hotel) that I was not informed of but do however accept as a reasonable condition if I am not in residence whilst the food is cooking. Yet there is no consideration when I approach staff to ask had my room been cleaned (due to their Covid rules and my health) after a staff member entered my room without my prior knowledge. The staff were extremely rude and disregarded any concern I had about the the potential germs that had entered my living space for 2 weeks. I was told to speak to the manager in the morning to have the policy of cooking explained further , however my point now is that I accepted their policy once I was aware but concerned about the cleanliness of the room. The staff member would not comment any further on my room apart from speak to the manager in the morning.
In addition to this extremely bad service and verbal attack that I received from the staff when I raised the health issue, here are some further observations in the hotel.
My shower head leaks, the toilet (intermittently) continues to flush until you go back and press the flusher again, key cards have to be swiped 3 or 4 times for access to the hotel accommodation and to the room. That and rude staff leaves me to say, go somewhere else for a stress free hotel experience without blatantly rude staff and rules they uphold when they decide to with no consideration to the customer or their health.

Having stayed in a Travel Lodge before we tried the super room option that is considerably more expensive than the standard that is just cheaper than Premier Inn. We wereswayed by the offer of a Lavazza coffee maker, better decor and fittings and choice of pillows. The room was nicer than the standard but very small and not worth the extra with limited space to unpack. The coffee maker didnt work and there was no bath. Wi-fi is extra and housekeeping is done only once a week so you have to go to reception to get extra coffee or towels - there was not even a toilet brush. Our room key failed to operate after one day twice. Simply not worth the extra cost.

Our room was grubby and the carpets on the corridor and in the room were a disgrace! Walls were badly marked and the whole hotel needs a refurb. On the plus side the bed was comfortable and there was no difficulty in topping up coffee, milk etc. Travelodge, spend some money on decent carpets that guests will feel comfortable walking around in bare feet!!!

Terrible hotel and staff it was so bad I did not stay. The accessible room had a bed no higher than 30cm when you sat on it. The staff member then argued it was suItable as she walked away…..
Left hotel and checked into premier inn… chalk and cheese

We stayed at Travelodge for 5 nights with an infant. The staff went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable and checked on us on the regular. The culture, cleanliness and professionalism at this location should be replicated across Travelodge nationwide and you’ll have me as a lifetime Travelodge customer. 4 stars for the hotel and 5 stars for how well Munisa and her team run this place.

This hotel is well situated on the road to Reading. Car parking was ideal and the check in process swift and courteous. The room was clean, comfortable and relaxing ensuring a great night's sleep.
The only negative was that as I was in a back room close to the A329 I could not have the window open as the traffic noise kept me awake but that didn't detract from an excellent stay.
I did not take advantage of the restaurant next to the check in but they had a what appeared to be a good value deal offering two courses from £12.25.
When I checked out the next morning I was asked if everything was well with my stay. It was so I can highly recommend this Travelodge for a relaxing and affordable stay.
