Called in on spec on the way past and were served straight away. Decided on the Sunday roast, choice of beef, chicken or lamb, went for the lamb. Food was plentiful and cooked nicely, good value and a pleasant visit!

We had a great night here for my birthday (and my wife's work) with a fantastic meal of rack of lamb and plaice. I would definitely recommend the raspberry roulade as well. Room was comfortable and I slept like a log after a long ride in the North Wessex Downs and Lambourn Downs, which helped work up a good appetite...

The whole visit was an excellent experience, the welcome you get from Bill and Mo is first class. The food is excellent and good value, and the informality of this Inn is exceptional, after five minutes you feel if you have been friends and frequent visitors to the Merrymouth Inn. What made this visit even better was being the only...

Was lovely to meet Bill and the team. Great little place to stay with a very warm welcome. The room was great and had all we needed. Wifi was available in the bar area but as you are in the country it works a little slower. We have moved around a lot this weekend and Bill kindly accepted our request...

A lovely cheerful place to rest your head, with out breaking the bank. well run pub and great food make for a delightful stopping off point. its an old country coaching inn so don't expect 5 star luxury but do expect friendly and attentive service with lashings of everything.

Just spent a few days at this lovely pub. The food is all home cooked and delicious with good sized portions. The owners Bill and Mo are truly welcoming and really friendly as are all the staff. The rooms are based round a small courtyard and are very comfortable.

The room was old and creaky, but the Inn is about 700 years old so what would you expect? From the moment we walked in the door we began to smile. The welcome was friendly and jovial, the decor was such that you half expected Dick Turpin to have his horse tied up outside, while he was sitting in an...

We had a thoroughly enjoyable couple of days walking in the Cotswolds, punctuated by some well-kept beer and superb home-cooking. Bill is a friendly and entertaining host, the food is exactly what is wanted after a long trek, and 'Bill's bootiful home-made Lasagne' lived up to its billing!! The motel style rooms off the courtyard were perfect for letting the...

Bill and Mo are always welcoming (even when we arrived early !!) Adam and Chris were very friendly and went the extra mile to ensure our stay was memorable, the food is freshly cooked, plentiful and delicious. We are already planning our next stay with our little dog Charlie.
