My room was very run down, old furniture, but I forget that with the amazing view of the Neckar river and the mountains. Very very lovely restaurant, breakfast was basic but very good, lovely and fresh. Again, with the amazing views you have it all

Love the location with views of the locks on the Neckar. Rooms are nice, but outdated. Armchair in our room was threadbare. Nice bathroom with shower, but could stand updating. Has WiFi, but a slow connection - must wait for even small files to download, larger files time out. Restaurant has a limited menu with unusual items (all expensive.). Seem...

I stayed for two nights at the Schlosshotel. The location is wonderful, the view from the terrace is great, and it is a nice place for sundowning. The staff is very friendly and helpful. As a cat lover I was charmed by the "castle cats" living on the domain and owned by the staff. The hotel room furniture is completely...

Certainly worth a visit. Hirschhorn castle enjoys a splendid location towering over the Neckar river with wonderful views from the rooms. Dining is very nice as well in the historical dining room. We were upgraded to the "wedding suite" which features a very nice oriel and nice, Rococo-style furniture. But, alas, on the chairs the furniture relation was badly torn...

All castle hotels are hard to approach without a car, so keep that in mind. This castle hotel is tucked away in a less touristy town of hirschhorn, we wanted to visit as many castle hotels as possible so we happened to stop by. The pictures on the web site doesn't quite do justice, the patio is super beautiful with...

my husband and i stayed at this castle at the end of April, 2013. the road up the castle is very scenic. the castle itself is ok, not worth what we spent there for one night. We made a reservation for dinner, as i have read other reviews that the food was outstanding; well, not in our opinion, the appetizers...

Put this wonderful and authentically old castle-hotel on your bucket-list! And spend a little more to stay in the main castle. A spiral staircase leads to lovely rooms with high ceilings and tall windows, each with a breathtaking view of the river and old village below. Walk up the tall tower for an even better angle. The staff are very...

the castle in Hirschhorn is maybe not the best if it comes to rooms but the view and the surrounding is unique, also the food in the restaurant is absolute outstanding

The view was spectacular and the restaurant very good. It was fun to explore the surrounding area and town down the steep hill. There was little information available, however, regarding its previous status as castle. Some literature explaining the various rooms and buildings would be helpful. A set of locks is directly below the castle.

A long tripfrom Brussels to Friedishafen to see the Zeppelin Museum....and 5 days to do it ,,,it needs a careful preparation. We decided to sleep in a German castle, then in the SEE Hotel in Friedichshafen (another good experience, with views to the Lake Constance), going to Switzerland (Basel, hotel Spalentor) and finally in the Central Plaza in Trier. Well,...
