Clean and comfortable room with modern furniture/fittings. A warm welcome from charming hosts, who make guests feel really at home. Location is a little off the beaten track but Clamcy is not far away.

Our family had 2 wonderful nights staying at Les Missiaux. We were warmly welcomed by our friendly hosts who made us feel at home in their delightful barn conversion B&B. Diane and Dave are English so it was good to be able to easily converse with them and receive helpful information. It was great that they had 2 single beds in one of the rooms for children as well as their own bathroom. The rooms were exceptionally clean with very comfortable beds and a good bathroom. It was lovely to have a view of the garden out the bedroom windows. You feel so relaxed here and it was so pleasant to be able to sit in the garden in the summer evenings surrounded by flowers, woods and quietness or wander along the country lane.Breakfast was exceptional and well set out, we enjoyed it very much. There are so many picturesque villages to explore in this part of the French countryside as well as tow paths along the nearby Nivernais canal. Les Missiaux was one of the best accommodation places we stayed at during our 5 weeks in Europe and we would thoroughly recommend it.

Just returned from an all too brief stay with Diane and Dave at their beautiful chambre d'hote in a stunning rural location near Clamecy in Burgundy. Our hosts could not have been more attentive to our needs and made us feel most welcome. If you are looking for peace and quiet in a tranquil rural setting you will not be disappointed. Rustic charm externally and renovated to a high standard internally the rooms are fresh and clean and airy with everything you could need in terms of mod cons. Breakfast is good and Diane is an accomplished cook so make sure you book an evening meal. The best thing about staying here has to be the genuinely warm and friendly welcome you receive from two highly professional hosts who work hard to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. We were most impressed and hope to be able to stay there again.

We arranged to be picked up at the Clamecy train station the day before we set out for a canal boat vacation. Dave picked us up and Diane greeted us when we arrived at their lovely B&B, which is set in the countryside just outside Clamecy. They moved from the UK years ago, after renovating two barns. You would never suspect that the result had once been a barn (or two!). Their home is very comfortable and the guest rooms are wonderful and well appointed. The rooms are upstairs, via a separate entry, with a large sitting room and kitchenette, filled with books and pictures which show some of their interests (birding is one). Their property is large and Dave has created a picturesque yard with flower and vegetable gardens. Cows and a horse roam in the yard next door.
Knowing that we would be tired from our travels, we decided to stay in and have dinner prepared by Diane. Chicken provencal was the main dish and we ate every bit. We asked our hosts to join us and they did so after dessert. It was fun to hear about their backgrounds and what led them to France.
Breakfast in the morning was filled with homemade jams and freshly made pastries, coffee, juice and yogurt. A perfect start to the day. Dave dropped us in Tanney where we picked up our canal boat.
We each highly recommend a stay with Diane and Dave and if we are back in their area, we would again spend a night, or two!

Just return from a 3 day staying in this property (party of 4). Unbelievable quiet location and still one can easy travel to the most beautiful places in Burgundy. Very gracious hosts, Diane and Dave. NIce rooms and bathroom with a specious shower cabins. We found our beds very comfortable ( Ikea). Every morning Dave drives to a local "boulangiere" for a fresh croissants and bread. The whole place is so relaxing and pleasant. It's a place to unwind from a stress.
To help to find this place i advise to look for it first on a Google Earth or map and than use GPS. It's not really difficult, especially if one comes from Clamecy on route D34 (route de Tannay).Take a next one on right, after rue de Voult

We were in Paris for a week and somehow had to get to the small village of Tannay in Burgundy for a boat rental we had planned for almost a year. What we hadn't planned on was a train strike in France! No one else seemed to help us until we called Dave and Dianne at Les Missiaux. They helped us arrange to rent a car which we drove to Auxerre. Dave drove an hour to meet us there and then drove us back to their beautiful home in the countryside near Tannay. We spent a wonderful evening with them. Diane prepared a sumptuous meal with lots of great wine (which we needed at that point), fixed us a full breakfast the next morning, and drove us to meet our boat.
You can read other reviews about the quality of the lodging - they are all true. But I just want to emphasize what wonderful people our hosts were. If we had only known about the quality of our experience, we would have come earlier and stayed longer!

We were a group of four just passing through to connect with a canal trip. Dave met us at the train station and Diane welcomed us at the accommodation. Lovely renovated barn, great walk thru the woods, perfect home cooking, well matched wines ( would have accepted any mind you) and beds comfortable, rooms spacious and bonus ensuites. Would certainly come again and will definitely stay longer

What a beautiful place. A remote location but ideal for a quiet relaxing stay. We only stayed for one night on our way down to the Alps but wish we had stayed longer. The hosts have worked really hard to refurbish the building and have provided an exceptional Chambre d'Hotes.
Clean comfortable, well appointed bedrooms and a visitors lounge with tea/coffee etc as well as a vast dvd library and lots of reading matter.
The hosts were very helpful and advised us on a short evening walk which was very enjoyable.
Breakfast was top quality and plentyful.
Can't praise this place highly enough, we would love to re-visit and explore the area in more detail.
