My husband and I travelled to Sitla Estate over my birthday and it was every bit what I needed! Serene views, peace and calm, colonial charm, awesome food and lots of privacy! Vikram and Tsering ensured we had a special dinner, followed by a big birthday cake. And the chicken was truly phenomenal! Thanks guys! The bukhari in the room...

Everytime I'd listen to one of my favourite songs by Simon & Garfunkel, The Sound of Silence, I would always wonder what the sound of silence would actually be like. I managed to find it on my recent vacation at Sitla Estate. The place is so serene that it takes your mind away from the clutter and disturbance of life....

The cackle of the laughing thrush. The call of the Himalayan finch. Rushed footsteps of children scrambling to their next adventure. Low murmurs of friends engaged in conversation. Hot, finger-licking meals created from fresh, local produce. Long walks through winding roads that hug the hills. Stumbling upon treasures of pine cones, deodar wood roses and chestnuts. Carrying armfuls of recycled...

We are a family of 5 with kids aged 9, 5 and 4. Vikram, the owner and the master creator of this beautiful Estate, ensured we had a very comfortable stay. The meals he created were divine, most of the ingredients straight from his vegetable and herb garden on site. The kids ran around freely in his expansive Fruit Tree...

I and my husband badly needed a vacation just to unwind and spend some quality time together. We wanted to get away from the fast life and hustle bustle of Mumbai. And Sitla fit the bill to the T. Sitla Estate is a lovely homestay situated in the midst of a fruit orchard in a tiny village of the same...

It was a refreshing stay, made thoroughly enjoyable by the views of the Himalayas, great food , delightful conversations with the other guests at the common lounge every evening and the warm hospitality of Vikram and his team. We stayed at the new cottages which have large...

Nestled high up in the mountains , is this heavenly haven. The place oozes warmth and love. Have stayed in home stays across the country but nothing beats this. Magnificent Views of the lofty snowy peaks from the huge bay windows took my breath away. Loved the food ,cooked and served by the very charming host. A place to visit...

Leave the world behind and surround yourself with beautiful views, wholesome food and great company. The property is an old colonial bungalow situated at the head of 40 acres of orchard land. The Nanda Devi peak is visible on a clear day. There are 6 new 'orchard view' rooms built to supplement the 4 colonial style rooms in the main...

It's one those rare home steads, where you actually feel at home, the warm hospitality of the host, Mr Vikram, who never misses a chance to make us feel comfortable. A place where one walks away with warm memories of the lush orchards, beautiful peaks, appetizing three course dinners,(prepared and served by the host himself), quaint library and of course...
