Since last five years I was trying to contact Vikram of Sitla Estate using his email id but in vain . Just before throwing my hands up , this year I decided to call him and complained about the one way communication . he told me to contact him not on his email id but on Sitla Estate’s web site... Having heard a lot about the property from friends and wonderful reviews on Tripadvisor we booked ourselves for a two night stay. The first night we were put up in one of the old heritage suites. Nice, old world with wooden floor and beams but no view. Second day we shifted to the Orchard Suite. Overlooking the valley with glass... More

Sitla. Much talked and much read about place which encouraged me to go. Good things first. Very beautiful serene place. Good view of mountains. Access road very good. Soulitude complete. Having said all this. The minus. If the owner himself not there the staff doesn't do extra bit for guest. Since it's a place where there is not much to... More

There is an energy that envelopes you as you take in the undulating hills and forests in front, the 180 degree view and the chill out places in the main gathering area. When Vikram spins his dinner magic, each meal is an event and overeating is inevitable. The rooms are beautifully appointed and have a character. Go there for chilling,... More

Sitla estate is possibly the most comfortable, most beautiful property in the hills in North India. Get in there with your books and forget about life outside. You can stare into the hills forever. Vikram Maira who runs the place is so hands on that he doesnt sit down. You can keep asking him to join you for a drink... More

Take in the views, go for treks/ walk, enjoy the food and feel the fresh air. The views are breathtaking and the place couldn't be better. This is probably one of my shortest reviews but the place is such... it is to be experienced.

The drive from Delhi is about 8-9 hours. Roads are good. The Estate is very beautiful ..nice view of the valley. Mr Maira and his team are the perfect host. Rooms are very spacious, well maintained and offer value for money. The food is good and meal timings are fixed. Go there to do nothing .. just nothing.

Of course, the views here are breathtaking. There are mountains at your door. The valley spreads out in all its glory. There is lush green, and then more green. The rooms are done nice and spacious, with taste, and with large glass walls. (The glass walls join together at the corners, to ensure a seamless view). As the other reviewers... More

A huge thanks to Vikram Maira and Tsering for their warm hospitality and making our stay a memorable one. The place is beautiful, amidst the nature where one can see the snow clad peaks as well. You are served breakfast under the Plum tree, you can go for a walk in the forest surrounded by the pine and cider trees.... More
