The Hotel Boulis is directly on the sand in the middle of Kamares beach, with the rare advantage of being in a quiet, rural area away from the main road, yet only a few minutes walk to bus stops, shops, ceramic workshops, etc. The rooms at the Boulis hotel are clean and comfortable, each containing: private bathroom and balcony or veranda, refrigerator, air-conditioning, ceiling fan, TV and direct dial telephone. Our bistro-style "Kafenés" is a quiet corner in the hotel garden courtyard offering distinctive mezedes and delicious full meals, home-cooked using local products.

Everything was perfect and we recommand the restaurant ! You need to book in advance. A good Family place. Just in front of the beach. Very good place to stay in sifnos at the port. 5 minutes to 10 minutes walk from the boat.

We would highly recommend this hotel which is located by a 10 minute walk from the port. It’s a two storey building and is on the coast. The beautiful beach is a mere two minutes walk. The additional cost of breakfast is well worth it and it is plentiful with as much tea and coffee as you wish. The room was spacious with a sea view and we witnessed outstanding sunsets. We chose not to use their restaurant as there is so much choice in Camares but we witnessed that the restaurant was fully booked each night. The bus stop for Appolenia is a few minutes away where you can connect to other villages on the island. The staff are so friendly and helpful and take their time with you

Hotel Boulis was sensational. From the location to the facilities and the staff it was truly wonderful. Lynn, Andonis and their family were fabulous hosts. Our beautiful rooms over looking the sea were delightful. A must whilst there is also the restaurant KAFENES. The food is truly outstanding. We will be back.

A short walk, 5 minutes, from port. In a quiet location but only a few steps away from shops & tavernas etc. Close to bus stop. A friendly welcome from Lyn when we arrived at this beachfront hotel which serves a buffet style breakfast and has its own restaurant on its terrace. Breakfast was typical Greek style, well presented and plenty of it with tables inside or outside. Rooms cleaned daily with fridge provided as well as air conditioning. A lovely hotel which we would readily return to.

Have accorded this hotel the highest rating based on location, cost and the owners' personal attention to guests. It is literally thirty seconds from the beach at Sifnos. The owners, Lynn in particular, are very friendly and accommodating. The hotel is very clean and well maintained. That said, it is very much like a motel in American terms, and the rooms are modest if not rather "spartan." We found an electrical outlet for the refrigerator but only one other socket in the entire room. The wifi is weak and fades in and out. One must be careful in the shower; the very small "stall" with a plastic curtain easily floods the bathroom. Breakfast is included but it is "spare." There is noise in the area, though not of the hotel itself. These flaws notwithstanding, this is an excellent choice for anyone visiting Sifnos and I hesitate not at all to accord it the highest marks.

The beauty of this space, along with the most friendly family preparing and serving the food, tied with the fact that they are a true farm to table restaurant - words simply cannot describe the experience. It was amazing from start to finish - and we couldn’t resist going back there 2 times on our short visit to Sifnos - do not miss out on this hidden gem we stumbled upon during our trip to Sifnos!!!

Stayed here for three days in May this year for the first time.Great choice...lovely hotel with big rooms with high ceilings and literally 10 seconds from the beautiful Kamares beach..Lynne and her daughter at reception absolutely fantastic ladies, so friendly, polite and helpful.. I had a fabulous room overlooking the beach with a gorgeous balcony and outstanding views.. Hotel is a out 2 mins walk from Kamares Port with all the Tavernas and Bars there..Prices, particularly considering the unique location of the hotel, are very reasonable indeed..Rooms are quite big and surprisingly quiet...Overall a fabfabulous choice and my to go to place from now on every time I visit Sifnos..Excellent all around..

We absolutely loved Hotel Boulis. Wonderful location; a 2 minute walk to beautiful Kamares beach and it’s also central but very quiet (no road in front; just palm trees, reeds, tamarisk trees and sand ) and with wonderful views if you are at the front or side of the hotel. Also caring, established and principled owners who care about the environment, the island, their guests and food. What a combination! Felt they could have helped with any problem encountered by any of their guests while on Sifnos. We ate at the hotel restaurant a few times and had delicious meals with many of the ingredients reared or grown on the family farm. The only downside is not having a kettle in the bedrooms for tea/coffee in the mornings. But we got used to having the hotel breakfast and this was a nice break from our regular home routine! And if you are organised you can take a plug-in mug water boiling contraption (name?) and your own tea/coffee supplies as all the rooms are equipped with fridges for water/milk/beer etc.

This was my second visit to Kamares but first time at Hotel Boulis. I booked direct and saved a good amount compared to the Booking.com price for my 11-night stay. The location is absolutely the best feature of the hotel: it's almost dead centre in the middle of the bay and literally metres from the beach (you can walk straight from the sand onto the hotel grounds). I will say the rooms are a bit dated and would certainly benefit from a refresh, but otherwise they are of typical Greek design and standard. The bed was comfortable enough, the air conditioning works and there was always hot water for showers. Yes, the plastic shower curtain is a nuisance and the shower basin is quite compact but not really a problem. Rooms were cleaned daily with fresh laundry every 3 days I think. Breakfast isn't included in the room rate, but for 6eur you get a respectable selection of cold items such as cereal, bread, ham, cheese and PROPER Greek yoghurt (not the cheap and nasty stuff some hotels serve up), plus coffee, tea and juice. There are good bakeries in the village, but from a value perspective, you'd be paying over 10 Euro in a cafe for basically the same selection so it worked for me. The owner, Lyn, and her husband who runs the restaurant are lovely. I ate at the restaurant twice (once by myself and again with my parents who arrived a few days after me). I'll review the restaurant separately but I'll say it's very good but perhaps a touch on the expensive side even given the nice meals we had. I would certainly recommend Boulis if you're looking for an affordable hotel in the perfect spot and hope to return in the future.

What a fantastic location - right on the beach and with a fabulous restaurant on site. A few metres away from the hotel are a line of shops, cafes, bars, bakeries and a variety of restaurants - what could be better? We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Boulis hotel - the staff were friendly and efficient. The hotel rooms' furniture is a little dated but everything was spotlessly clean and the location next to clear blue waters and a sandy beach more than make up for it. The restaurant Kafenes which is also owned by the hoteliers Lynne and Adonis serves wonderful gourmet food at sensible prices. The waiters are quick and efficient and the chef personally takes your order and describes the food he has cooked for the day. The restaurant offers a peaceful and exclusive experience as only a few tables are in the beautiful courtyard setting - a stones' throw away from the sea and you can watch the sunset from your table - a far cry from the busy main road restaurants. Thank you team Boulis for a wonderful stay.
