Top service from a quaint and very accommodating ryokan. Love the private onsen. We were picked up from the train station a the time designated by a uniformed driver. The hostesses wore traditional kimonos. Everyone acted with the utmost courtesy as if we were royalty.

This ryokan has private outdoor onsens in all the rooms. The onsen is great, and especially wonderful when it's snowing outside, as it's a nice contrast to the heat. We had Hana as our hostess at this ryokan and thoroughly enjoyed her sweet smiling personality and great attitude. She had plenty of recommendations when we asked and was always very...

The staff were extremely helpful and friendly, they made our stay very enjoyable. The room was self contained, clean and there was plenty of space. Located well , very close to the restaurants and the theme park Fuji Q. Breakfast was delicious ! All round a great experience. Highly recommend.

I booked this Onsen hotel about 8 months before we arrived and the only room I could get was the private onsen suite. It was a bit pricey but we wanted to stay in Fujikawaguchiko. It was so worth it!! The room was beautiful, the service excellent and the staff fantastic!! The high point was, since we went in November and...

We had the executive suite with the private onsen and the room and the garden and the onsen are beyond amazing. The truly Japanese style accommodation with your own onsen to go into anytime. It was great and the breakfast was so authentic and amazing. It was my accommodation highlight in Japan.

Arriving at Kawaguchiko station after a painless 90 minute train ride from Tokyo we were expecting to be taken back in history to a small historic town in the foothills of Mount Fuji. Non of it. This is a bustling non descript tourist resort sitting on a lovely lake with a massive amusement park 10 minutes down the road. Mount...

Went to this place with my wife and I would said the place is fantastic and same goes with the service. We have reserved the dinner and breakfast and the food taste fantastic. The room facilities come with private onsen and bathroom facilities is the best I have come across. Would go back again.

Had a wonderful 3 night stay in the presidential suite. The staff and service was excellent. The meals were beautifully presented and tasted fantastic. With the autumn weather surprising us with a bout of unseasonal snow fall, the onsen was a wonderful relaxing treat after the cold day. We could just see the top of Mt Fuji through some trees...

Everytime I fly to Japan I ask my friend to go to Yamanashi to enjoy the real Japan, its feeling, spirit, peace of mind and, at the same time, besides the soul, to make also the body happy with the hot springs and the food. Not far from Tokyo, a couple of hours by car, it is a very good...

Pre-trip After making a room booking indicating non-smoking room, the next day the ryokan sent me email via booking.com to inform that they don't have non-smoking room. I appreciated their notification. Being a non-smoker sensitive to smoking smell, I was anxious that if the room reeked of smoke, it would be a terrible stay. The ryokan promised that they would...
