I stayed 1 night in this Hotel very poor . Bedlinen stained, mattress protector filthy, shower had thick mildew in corners and on door. Carpet stained, couch in room had stains all over seating cushions. When I complained I was moved to another room ,had to remove all bed linen and sleep on towels as mattress was as bad as the... Rooms were adorable and clean. Wonderful view of Mount Fiji. I was too chicken to try the open air bath but I heard it was wonderful. Food was ok, but the staff, rooms and view made this a great experience.

If you are looking for a hotel with a great view of Mt Fuji and Lake Kawaguchiko, this is it. Stayed on 6th floor and had an amazing view of both. The price is good and it is easy to walk around or catch shuttle bus to see different places. Room was okay. Water pressure in shower is a bit... More

I went to many cities in Japan but my time here was the best !!! We were right by Mt Fuji and our window overlooked the majestic mountain as it looked back at us..Also we went for an early morning hike where close by were little hidden shrines....making the experience in the light drizzle surreal...in the evening there was a... It's not a place for long stays. Food is of very poor quality and it mainly caters for the Chinese guest which arrive in masses everyday for the night and then move on. In the morning it's breakfast room (like a school canteen) gets very busy. It's rooms are too small but have nice view of the lake. There are... More

And I don't mean cold as in temperature. It is the look of the place, not warm and cosy, but bleak and functional. A huge open restaurant that serves a very decent dinner- and breakfast buffet. It reminded me of a large camping restaurant . But the food was much, much better than expected and the staff is very welcoming... More

Great little community nice and inviting....hotel is very old(dingy) but clean and quaint. Staff is very friendly and dinner buffet is very good. They have an inn side bath house as well as an outside bath house. Only stayed here for one night so I couldn't say about the service and food over a several day period. Just cruising thru... More

Pros: all rooms have a view of Mt Fuji, hot springs bath is a wonderful and relaxing experience, plenty of outlets for recharging electronics, toilet separate from shower. Rooms are simple but roomy and sufficient for a one or two day stay. The gift shop has some nice souvenirs. Cons: The buffet. Also only one pillow per bed.

We had a lovely room overlooking the lake and the mountain. The lake was at it's photographic best, but Mount Fuji was playing "hidey" under clouds, which was a bit disappointing - can't control the weather! Our room was spacious, and there was a separate toilet room, which was the first we had found in Japan. The shower was good... More

Pros: View of Mt Fuji (if it's a clear day) right across from the lake. Has Onsen (public bath). Cons: Rooms are old and look dingy (although pretty big with couch area) bathroom looks like the toilet was a previous closet and the shower is so small I felt like I was suffocating in there. Buffet was gross and really... More
