Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

My husband and I spent one night at The Manor House and had the room at the very top with the amazing view over the side garden - had a delicious breakfast with everything imaginable to eat from Val the perfect hostess. Very peaceful surroundings and a beautiful house - would thoroughly recommend!

We were looking for a place to stay near to Tenterden for our planned trip to a French brocante sale and found The Manor House online. What a find! This stunning old Manor House is set in quiet countryside away from the main road, in gorgeous gardens which would make 'Monty' very happy! Val was a most welcoming and generous hostess and could not do enough to make our stay memorable. She suggested local attractions and recommended places of interest to visit to make the most of our four days. Our room was in the eaves of this beamed house, up quite a steep set of stairs but most beautifully decorated, spacious and equipped to five star hotel standard. Moulton Brown toiletries, Egyptian cotton sheets, exceptionally comfortable bed and pillows, every need was catered for. Breakfasts were amazing...a selection of different fresh fruits, cereals ,nuts, yogurts and a choice of perfectly cooked breakfast with locally sourced produce. The bathroom with our room had a bath with shower attachment, but as her second guest room on the floor below was vacant, Val offered us the use of that bathroom as well. This space was stunning, a large power shower cubicle and separate bath, with enough floor space to dance around to on to dry off should you so choose! This tastefully decorated home would not look out of place in Country Life and Val made us most welcome to share her home with us.We can most definitely recommend The Manor House for a splendid experience. (Please note that the sat nav took us past the house by a distance, so look for the beautiful house near the old church as you come along Five Vents Lane.)

My husband and I stayed in The Manor House for 3 nights whilst on a family holiday. The house was very inviting, beautifully decorated and very close to local amenities. Our host, Val was very attentive and thoughtful. Her attention to detail even on the "little things" made our stay even more enjoyable. We felt very much at home and didn't want to leave! We would definitely stay at The Manor House again.

This lovely old manor house is in a perfect, quiet location within easy reach of the best that Romney Marshes has to offer. The room at the top is exquisitely laid out and has plenty of space. Val puts out the best breakfast I've ever had at a B&B and she is very modest about it. The selection of delicious fruit and top quality cereals, as well as the beautifully cooked full English, ensures the best possible start to the day. I hope to return to this delightful home with my wife soon.

We stayed here with my in-laws and it couldn't have worked out better. -Val is the perfect host, approachable and helpful and a great cook for our morning breakfast. - Breakfast, the best I have ever had in a B&B, fresh fruit, cereal, croissants, yoghurt, granola, toast and all this before you get your preordered cooked breakfast! - The Rooms, our room was light and airy with plenty of space and lots of storage We felt so at ease here, we were given a key and so came and went as we pleased. Georgie, the beautiful Labrador bought a smile to our faces every morning withe her wagging tail wanting some fuss (note if your not dog people, val was quite willing to keep her with her). The house itself is beautiful, so nice and clean with nice views. We had a great time and will be back.

Everything about this place was just right from the smellies in the bathroom to the quality of the food at breakfast. The bed was very comfortable and the linen white, clean and ironed well. My room was at the top of the house overlooking the garden and was nicely private which was lovely.

Val's place is absolutely georgous. Such a lovley cosy setting. The house has so much history and character and has been very well done up. The room is luxurious and comfortable with a lively day bed looking out over the georgeous garden. Val had great tips for where to eat and to go with loads of info in the folder in the room. The breakfast was sensational as well. I like the pre order form as it prevents any wastage. Only advice is be careful to not ober order as before the hot cooked brekky is some lovely muskie options with fresh berries, toast with local preserves! It was slightly more than we normally pay for BnB (budget conscious) but it was absolutly worth it!!
