A very cosy cottage and room, friendly welcome and homely feel. There was free wifi, tea and coffee making facilities in the room and a very approachable landlady. There were books you could borrow, an ironing board, plenty of original features like beams and fire places.

We have stayed here twice now and have booked again for next year for the Rewind Festival, Fauzia and Brian are very welcoming and will do anything to make your stay enjoyable, even dropping us off and picking us up. Plenty choice for breakfast, with use of tea, coffee and fridge facilities. Would definately recommend a stay here.

I stayed here with my family. There were 10 of us and nothing was too much trouble for our hosts - Fucia and Brian. Very varied menu and very well cooked. We were stuck for transport and Brian immediately offered to take us to our destination! We would love to stay here again and will certainly recommend it to anyone.

On my own and just needed an o/night stay in the area. After a post code search and excellent communication it was exactly where I needed to be. So glad I found this. Beautiful room and my hosts could not have been more friendly. Many thanks

Small double-room for single occupancy. Little space for luggage. Dark and small bathroom. Very chatty, but helpful owner. Directly on a main road, but quiet at night. Tea and coffee making facilities in the room. Wifi available. Left very early to go to Manchester airport, thus missed the breakfast.

Stayed here in July 2015 to attend a Wedding at Capesthorne Hall, were given other options for accommodation but were grateful that we looked elsewhere and found this true gem. The welcome and attention to our wants was terrific, even kind enough to give a lift to and from the event, thank you Brian. The room and breakfast was all...

After traveling around Cumbria and Lancashire during the day we happened upon this gem of a B & B. It is full of English charm and has a wonderful host and hostess to welcome guests. We were overwhelmed by their hospitality and would fully recommend their establishment. The full English breakfast was AMAZING!
