Stayed for 5 nights in one of the annex rooms. My room had a kitchen ( no utensils) and a fridge. The bathroom had been recently refitted but the bedrooms could do with a bit of TLC. Beautiful main building and good breakfast included. The pool was lovely and well maintained. Cleanliness could have been better - dirty ashtrays outside the rooms, bits of litter on the path not picked up. Having said this, I would be happy to stay here again

After a longer pause of 15 years, I was finally back at Villa Rinascimento! I spent quite a few nights there some 25 years ago, when the hotel was still fairly new (I guess)…. The atmosphere has always drawn me, and I love the spirit of the house. It was so good to see how you still keep it all in mint condition. And that you still have friendly, attentive and serviceminded staff, to make sure the guests are well taken care of.

It was good to bring my family and my 12 year old son, who enjoyed the house, the area and the pool just as much as I hoped and thought they would.

This was the most beautiful accommodation we’ve ever stayed in. The pictures do not do it justice. It is absolutely stunning. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the pool area was clean and picturesque. The woman who checked us in on Saturday September 30, 2023 was so friendly and helpful, and she also served us our dinner that night when we came down to eat after relaxing by the pool all day. She was a wonderful and kind member of staff that was clearly working very hard all day. The sunset during our dinner was gorgeous, and the pasta dishes we got were amazing. My only regret is that we only stayed here for one night before moving on to Lucca city centre- next time we will definitely extend our stay at this little piece of Tuscan heaven.

Great location, hotel kept in good conditions. Check in went smooth and the receptions gave us all necessary information. The room was quite dirty (e.i. we found toothpaste spots on the sink and all over that area), and what is the point of having a small kitchen if there isn’t even a fork in the shelf? Restaurant is expensive and not worth it, as an example we ordered antipasto misto (€14) and then we found the exact same cured meats for breakfast which it was even included. Breakfast was okay nothing special, a bit ridiculous the display cabinet right in the middle of the room with inside some boiled eggs. Unfortunately they had a wedding on one of the nights we stayed, so the restaurant was closed and if you wanted to speak to one member of the staff you had to go through all the well dressed people of the wedding (a bit embarrassing if you were dressed to go to the swimming pool). So we went to the swimming pool which it was nice and apparently clean. There was no hot water in the room so we could not have a shower, as the staff was very dedicated to the wedding we decided just to mention it in the morning at the check out, which we did and the answer was “oh which room again?”, and that’s it, I wasn’t asking for any discount or free stuff but at least and apology would have been nice. Overall not a good experience, we don’t recommend it.

This is a perfect place in Tuscany to stay one or two nights to relax by the pool. It is peaceful and close to both Lucca and Pisa. The restaurant serves really nice food, but it was closed one of the nights we stayed which we were not informed about when making the reservation, quite annoying.

We stayed in a quadruple room on the third floor, under the roof. Lots of space. Window in the roof and in the bathroom. Closed really dark, open enough light. Good breakfast with slightly different choices per day. Lunch was good, nice sandwiches (went 1 time). Dinner not so good quality (went 1 time). Terras around the building, table tennis and a tenniscourt. Loggia where you can sit as wel. Infinity pool with enough beachchairs and parasols. No shower. Ash trays everywhere, at the pool, in the loggia, not cleaned frequently so it seems. Beach towels from the hotel for the pool. Close to Lucca and Pisa. Reception staff friendly.

An exceptionally fine house with a friendly staff and a good restaurant. The location is perfect for visits to Lucca, Pisa, Viareggio, Florence and even Siena. The hotel has a good sized pool to relax at. Sitting on the loggia at night makes you feel like you were back in the Rinascimento. A place to enjoy! Thanks to everyone of the staff!

Stunning building, loggia out of this world. Rooms traditionally set out in amazing old villa. Staff very friendly and breakfast good, plenty on offer and lots freshly made. Pool beautiful, set nicely in hill with open views. Public areas including library and loggia just lovely, even if glasses not cleaned away as often as ideal. Lovely stay in wonderful old buildings.

The most beautiful setting, very peaceful and tranquil. A very picturesque Italian setting.
Our apartment was separate from the main building, but that suited us well. Breakfast was fresh every day & always delicious. Our room was spacious, and kept clean every day.
The pool area was lovely and had a small pool for children which was perfect.
We hired a car & there was plenty of space to park our car.
Highly recommend & would love to stay again if we visit Lucca again.
