The hall has lots of character, as did my room which was very comfortable. There is a grand living room in which to relax and enjoy afternoon tea. The host Amanda was very accommodating, such as by allowing me to park my van there the day before checking in, and printed off my wedding speech! It is ideal to book... More

We stayed as a group of 8 people, for a long weekend. Absolutely first class in every way. The Hall is stunning, spacious yet cosy at the same time. Beautifully appointed rooms with gorgeous views, fab comfy beds and lovely toiletries, all set in beautiful grounds and gardens. Amanda is an amazing host. Breakfast was awesome, all locally produced or... More

I visited Low Graythwaite with my partner and his sister (all the way from Australia) for a two night, mid week break. We were definitely not left disappointed... an amazing hidden gem and somewhere I will most definitely be revisiting. We stayed in the Cunsey and Grizedale rooms, both well equipped with tea, coffee, herbal teas, olive oil body washes,... More

What a stunning place! The grounds are kept beautifully including a duck pond and chicken coop, a lovely decked seating area to enjoy the summer sun. The house itself has 5 good sized bedrooms tastefully decorated, a large but cosy feeling drawing room with a big open fire (great for games) and a gorgeous dining room with a big square... More

From the moment we drove through the gardens we knew we would not be disappointed...These were beautifully maintained and the house was even better, decorated with style and taste. Our room was exceptionally spacious and comfortable. The breakfast room is sumptuous. Amanda takes pride in offering homemade delights: incredible fruit salad, deliciously cooked full English, sensational jams... Both David and... More

My family plus six week old granddaughter had a perfect stay. We had three rooms for three nights. Amanda and David went out of their way to look after us and even recommended suitable walks with a pram. In addition to a beautiful house, the gardens looked stunning. We sat outside on the new garden furniture in the Spring sun... More

Wonderful grounds, wonderful house and a lovely couple for hosts. Amanda and David looked after us for a great few days. They were extremely hospitable and friendly, and the room was excellent (Tethera). Huge breakfast cooked to order and a lovely evening meal that should be ordered in advance. Don't miss a visit to their very own up-market gift shop... More

We stayed at Low Graythwaite Hall for a family birthday celebration and we loved it. Some of the family stayed in the house and some were in the cottage, but we all enjoyed breakfasts and evening meals together in the hall. The bedrooms in the house were splendid, while the cottage was cosy and welcoming. Amanda's cooking was excellent and... More

It was not only the warm sunny weather that made our few days at Low Graythwaite Hall a special holiday. This lovely historic house set in beautiful gardens offered a warm welcome as soon as we turned into the drive. The welcome was reinforced by Amanda who brought us tea and home made cake in the beamed and panelled sitting... More
