Stayed at Castor for skiing holiday together with my wife w11 2016 and we were more than satisfied with this wonderful hotel! The rooms are spacious with plenty of storage space and the wi-fi was working perfectly. The staff is very nice and helpful, be sure not to miss music night!

16 of us wanted somewhere for dinner and asked the hosts if we could run a quiz. We ended up with ten teams and had an amazing night, mainly because we were plied with booze all night. Lovely dinner, great value, excellent location and lots of fun. Hermann and Beatrice were awesome, thanks for your hospitality

Stayed here for a week in January and hotel stay included the Monterosa ski area lift pass so EXCELLENT value. I had a single room which was of a good size and well equipped. What makes this hotel is it's staff and the family. They are all very friendly and helpful. Stafania on reception and Bruno at the bar stand... More

Dear Guest, thank you for your review of our hotel. We constantly try to make our client's holiday a perfect moment and it's nice when we know that it's been a good attempt. The hotel is a hystorical hotel in Champoluc, so some aspects may loook tired although we invest every year to renew some parts. The wi fi too... More

My friend and I were staying, half-board, at the Hotel Breithorn in Champoluc recently. The staff took every Monday off so the guests needed to find their own evening meal that night. We chose to dine at Hotel Castor, one minute's walk from The Breithorn, and had a first-class meal! We both chose the salmon trout fillet cooked in red... More

Wood, wood wood – wood everywhere. And that's absolutely lovely. Fairly good sized rooms with original interior in good condition. It's a classic skier's hotel with a very comfy bar and lounge, perfect hangout for people travelling in groups. Lots of Scandinavians and a very friendly (and quite international) staff. (Well, at least some Swedes...) :-) Very nice surroundings and... More

What a charming hotel! Spent a full week on the third floor with a beautiful view of the village and church bell tower. We came with a large ski group of Forty from America. Herman and Bea the mangers/owner are so wonderful! They are extremely accommodating and gracious along with all the other staff. The hotel is hundreds of years... More

This is our third visit to Hotel Castor skiing. It is a very friendly family hotel with superb staff. It's such an easy place to feel at home and relax after a good days skiing, Champaluc is also a great resort to ski as a group of differing abilities.

Really friendly family run hotel. Very well positioned if you don't mind a warm up walking up to the lift. Leave your gear in Tako ski shop which is fab. A real gem of a resort for intermediate skiers.

I have just spent 5 days at this nice and quiet hotel that provides all that a family would be looking for - the hotel is a 10-15min walk from the ski lifts (so I suggest that you wear your walking boots instead of your ski boots), great service, excellent staff who looked after all our needs, rooms were very... We are coming to the end of an extreemly pleasant stay at this lovely, family run hotel. Herman and his family and staff are very helpful, obliging and, more seriously, he is a serious fan of music, wine (a qualified somelier) and, it seems, fun.

“Higher floors will give you a better outlook and not all rooms have balconies. Rooms above the restaurant offer the best views. Champoluc is a quiet village with limited après attractions so bring your own! If you don't like "rustic" accommodation then look elsewhere but you can't fault the service here and everything works? The hotel is a 10min walk to the gondola but get out early to catch the 0840 bus which will take you there or further up the valley to the Frachey funicular. Hate to share but the best restaurant on the hill is on run C3 just off Ostafa, excellent food and service and away from the crowds as not on a main route.”
