We stayed here for 1 night before a day trip to Orkney and were welcomed by Lynne into her beautiful home. I found Auld Post Office from the interactive map on the NC500 website. We booked the superking and the family room, both of which were stunning, well laid out and contained extras like dvd player (with a bookcase full...

We recently stayed before heading back home to Orkney the following day. On arrival we were welcomed by the lovely Lynne. Our room was lovely and warm and we had a lindt chocolate each to enjoy with our cup of tea before bed. Breakfast was excellent, fresh fruit cup, followed by porridge with honey, raisans and nuts and THEN a full...

We have stayed at the Old Post Office on three occasions en route to/from Shropshire when visiting the Orkney Islands. The rooms (we have now stayed in each of the three available) are excellently appointed and very comfortable, the gardens, recently extended, now resplendent. Always a warm and friendly welcome, excellent breakfasts and a very good local inn a few...

Had a great stay. Beautifil area, and you're in the middle of it all. The room was nice, roomy, clean with a perfect bed. Breakfast was great. Just the day-starter you need. The gin and whisky distilleries are worth while.

Thank you for your kind words, it's great to hear you enjoyed your stay with us. Although in the countryside, we are located in the middle of the County, so it's always good to hear you feel in the centre of it all. Stayed for one night in the annex which is virtually self catering accommodation. Nicely appointed, spotlessly clean, very comfy bed and lovely big walk in shower. Breakfast was delicious with plenty of choice. Hosts were friendly and interesting to talk to. Would not hesitate to recommend this b & b.
