Spent a very comfortable and relaxing night at this lovely B&B . Very tastefully furnished and great attention to detail . Would be good to visit in warmer months and be able to enjoy the beautiful garden . It is an oasis in the middle of the Caithness countryside .

The owners have gone to great lengths to comply with COVID regulations and therefore your stay feels really safe. This is a comfortable place to stay with friendly owners. Breakfast was excellent and served at a very elegant table. Thoroughly recommended.

We stayed here for one night with our dog, perfect for the NC 500 route. We stayed in the cottage which was perfect. Hosts were most accommodating and breakfast was delicious. Loved hearing about the history of the building and the work undertaken. Keep up your good work.

We have just returned from a 2 night stay at the Auld Post Office and cannot praise Lynne and Weyland enough for the warm and welcoming service we received from beginning to end. Beautifully decorated with an eye to detail, rooms are immaculate and very comfortable with all home amenities. We had a gin tasting session in the gorgeous Juniper Lounge situated in the breathtaking garden (even on a soggy October day it was enjoyable to walk around). We learned lots and thoroughly enjoyed the many different gins from the collection. We also enjoyed a fresh bowl of fruit before a full breakfast on both mornings! Lynne was kind enough to book us a table for dinner at the Ulbster Arms in the neighbouring village of Halkirk. Definitely worth a visit too during your stay. This B&B is a gem and I can’t recommend it enough as a place to stay when visiting the area. Perfect for NC500 stays. Such a warm and friendly atmosphere you’ll leave wanting to rebook again. Thanks again Lynne and Weyland!

This bed and breakfast is a wee gem. The house is absolutely amazing, immaculate and so beautifully decorated with attention to detail. The breakfast and gardens are out of this world and a total joy! The owners were the nicest people you could meet and made us feel so welcome and loved on what was our honeymoon. Thank you so much for everything x
