A stunning Wild camping or Glamping spot overlooking the Valley with incredible sunsets, chickens, ducks, horses and cows. Feel and hear the nature around you whilst sitting around a log fire on logs and taking long walks through the Gloucestershire countryside.
This was our first time at Sallywood farm and overall our experience was a very positive one. In terms of location, the site is ideally located in the heart of Gloucestershire and handy for the beautiful and trendy Stroud. We got to experience the Saturday market which was incredibly lively and a sensory feast, if not a little busy. The Wild camping site was a beautifully executed idea with only two available pitches which meant my partner and I had only one set of neighbours who were pitched a fair distance from us, meaning we had privacy and peace as well as an occasional hello on passing. The view from our pitch was stunning. We opened our tent door in the mornings to a gorgeous sunrise over the valley. The first night was extremely quiet with only a couple of owls to break the silence, however the second evening was slightly marred by merrymakers up the hill at the bell tents. They were given a warning and chose to leave so it was peaceful after that. What was less convenient was the need to rely on the staff to transport our gear down to the pitch and then back up on our departure day. We really don't wish to make a big deal about these little issues because we had a really nice time, we just want to offer some useful and helpful feedback. All of that said, we would definitely come back, we really appreciated the ethical, organic approach to farming, land management and holiday provision, as well as the owner's welcoming approach. …

Lovely site, rustic facilities. Good showers. A few cobwebs etc but to be expected when wild glamping on a farm. The bell tents were lovely and kept us well sheltered. Lots of hens walking around the site which was nice to see, not so nice for the 7am rooster ‘alarm clock’ … Handy for going around villages and towns in the area with plenty of places for food nearby. Overall a very enjoyable experience!
