We choose this all inclusive resort because of it's beautiful tropical setting, set below lush tropical hills, great for hiking and also close proximity to Havana. We both dislike the 'all inclusive' concept despite their mantra about being 'authentic' they turn out to be as 'authentic' as Disneyland or Mc Donalds. For a really 'authentic experience you need to travel... More

We just got back from Villa Tropico and must say it was likely our best trip thus far. I gave it 4 stars even though it is really a 3 star because the staff, other guests and things to do in the area really pushed our week far beyond our initial expectations. Let me preface the following review by stating... More

My first visit was in March and my wife and I really enjoyed it, so this time we came back with some friends, there where 13 of us in total. We all had a great time so much so that many of us are planning a returned visit for next year. Being there my self for a second time this... More

My husband & I prefer to stay in bungalows or cabana 'style' rooms so that is why we chose this locale.. It's worth paying the extra $20 for the bungalows!. The staff are very friendly & helpful & it was a pleasant 2 weeks. They offer an outdoor BBQ lunch each week, which is a nice change from the buffet.There... More

This was our 20th visit here in 5 years. The staff are what make this place great. Its quiet and out of the way which makes it so relaxing for us. I still see people complaining like this was a 5 star hotel. ITS CUBA!! For the price you cant go wrong. Come enjoy and relax!

3 of us went to Villas Jibacoa for a one week stay. We were each given a bungalow style room with a balcony outside. It may cost about 20 dollars more to get a bungalow but it is well worth the money. The room is basic and very clean. We each had a welcome gift of a bottle of rum... More

Just got re certified as a scuba diver as seems a lot of things have changed since I first trained in 1967. It was time so I felt like I would be a current diver for whom ever my dive partner is. First week of Oct. with a hurricane at the far end of the island but got one dive... More

Short version- Nature's paradise, the food won't kill you, and you won't go hungry. Clean rooms. No nightlife, but a perfect place to relax. Overly long version- I went in with no expectations. This trip was booked last minute. Pretty much all I wanted was a palm tree and to rest in the sun. Our Transat flight was delayed for... More

I recently stayed at Villa Tropico for a week. Over all for the discount price I paid I felt it was a good vacation. I think a lot of the facts can be found online and in other reviews so I will try to provide a summary of a few items. I stayed in a villa. It had two small... More
