#2 of 13 B&Bs / Inns in Pontremoli
Just a few kilometers from the historic center of Pontremoli, with its intact medieval mark, there is a particularly congenial place to hear the pulsating soul of these places, a house to meditate before and after the "wanderings" that we want to take off and within us. It's called "The Garden of Rosemary", an old farmhouse, renovated with materials typical of the Lunigiana. All rooms (with bathroom, and finely furnished), provide maximum privacy in a context where, in the type of stay, also generous opportunity to enjoy the large common areas (TV room, dining room and a large garden with swimming pool).A charming place where you'll be greeted with kindness by the owners of the house, with whom you can talk nicely and that will provide a quality facility. The return from a day trip will'' come home'', and in the morning to wait for the awakening of the guests, there will be a hearty breakfast with local produce sweet and savory (from jams, to the fresh rolls, croissants and biscuits freshly baked). And yet you can taste the pecorino cheese and other local products. The B & B'''' Rosemary's Garden is happy, then, to accommodate all travelers'' for'' a holiday that combines a visit to Pontremoli, Lerici (40 Km) in Sarzana (38 km) Marina di Carrara (47 km) Cinque Terre (60 km) all reachable in half an hour), using the same time the possibility of enjoying the immeasurable beauty of unspoiled nature and discovering aspects of daily life in the territory.'Rosemary's Garden "is also the'' ideal'' way station to take daily excursions to Pisa (90 Km) Florence (140 Km), Volterra (150 km) Genoa (110 km), Lucca (80Km.) Viareggio (78Km.) to name just some of the most popular tourist destinations), a distance of a few tens to a little over a hundred miles at most.

Nestled away in the beautiful Tuscany hills around a 10 minute drive outside Potremoli lies this great little gem. The property and grounds are immaculately kept. My wife and I were greeted by the owners of this B&B. We stayed for only 1 day but the went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable, pleasant and enjoyable. The owners assisted us with booking dinners, where to go and information on the local area. The inside of the property in fantastic. It's an old mill or barn renovated to a very high standard. The rooms have high ceilings, comfortable beds and great bathrooms. Combined with the excellent breakfast in the morning, one could not ask for a better stay and experience of Italian hospitality. My wife and I will be back.

We stayed for 4 nights in the beautiful house of Mario And Gemma. They receive you very welcoming and take care in a great way. The house and surroundings are fantastic. Completely quiet and off the grid. A great place to relax. Beautiful and very clean rooms. Nice breakfast. Great pool. We recommend this place.

We’ve just returned from our second visit to Il Giardino di Rosmarino and it was just as perfect as the first visit! Stunning setting, beautiful house, great hosts and super food - what’s not to like! This time we got to use the swimming pool with its mountain backdrop. Strongly recommend. Thank you Gemma and Mario for your wonderful welcome.

Once again we have returned to Il Giardino di Rosmarino for our yoga retreat, and had a wonderful time. The terrace and garden made it a beautiful place to practice our yoga as we celebrated the summer solstice and the International day of yoga. Gemma and Mario are wonderful hosts and excelled in catering for all, especially the vegetarians and a vegan. I am already planning next years visit !

Mario and Gemma are the most delightful hosts! There beautiful house is exquisite, homely and welcoming. The pool is the place to float in while gazing out at the mountain ranges sipping wine, with donkey's (cheeky ones!) braying gently in the paddock below. The rooms are divine with lovely attention to detail with own ensuites. Beautifully decorated. Meals are provided if you like - all sitting together with other guests - the meals looked delicious, but we had bought our own picnic from the town nearby. So after a quick G&T with Gemma and Mario in the kitchen we took our picnic up to the pool for the sunset. Mario turned up with napkins and plates and quietly chatted with us about the region before leaving us to our own devices. It is a quiet beautiful spot. Perfect for couples or families. Gorgeous villages dot the countryside nearby - Don't miss it!
