This was the nicest Hotel I've ever stayed in. We booked 6 nights for the first half of our honeymoon and had the most amazing experience. From the moment we checked in the service was impeccable. We were offered a refreshing drink and could check in seated outside by the sea. A delicious dessert and bottle of fiz on arrival to our sea view room. Plenty of sun loungers and towel available and staff bring you fresh water and ice. The pool bar food and drinks were very good quality. Breakfast was outstanding, there wasn't anything they didn't have. The hotel is immaculate, calming and restorative. The atmosphere is healing and relaxing. Could not recommend this place enough. Hotel was only a short walk to moratika where you can find supermarkets and a greek tavern serving delicious authentic Greek cuisine. Overall a wonderful place to honeymoon

An excellent stay, a lovely and quiet resort by the sea. The rooms was spacious with a lovely sea view. Breakfast was a great spread and the staff were super helpful. I agree with other reviewers, water bottles not being refreshed or trash cleared from the room. Overall a relaxing and refreshing stay

Fantastic experience from the moment we walked in. What a lobby with olive trees growing in it. We stayed on the sea side with a fantastic room looking out to sea. We only had breakfast but there was a fantastic choice. The staff were very friendly. There was good entertainment in the evening. There is an underpass to get to the other side of the road. It was good service on the sun beds there was always a member of staff around to get your order.

Staff are excellent and proactive at ensuring you have the best experience possible. Impressive checkin experience with welcome drink, a bottle of wine and cold plates to make up for a delayed arrival. I also thought the resort had the perfect set up in terms of quiet and relaxed beachfront atmosphere. It was all very lovely. Just a couple of details that let it down for me. - housekeeping not clearing glasses, nor replenishing items like soaps, coffee pods, milks etc. - 1962 restaurant doesn’t live up to the hype. Very standard resort style; decor as bland as the food. Much better in the Raw Bar upstairs. - restaurants also don’t cater that well for food intolerances. There is no ‘free form’ section you will find at other high end resorts these days - I overheard a few other guests discussing this with staff. - you could spend your whole holiday here but without a car you’d feel quite isolated. - upgraded to Emerald Sea View from my original room in the Panoramic Wing - actually this ‘suite’ was a pretty standard pool view room that was smaller than the room I booked. The bathroom was looking in need of a revamp.

I have never been more impressed by a hotel experience than I was by my stay at the Domes. Having never been to Corfu (or greece for that matter), i came with very few expectations. We booked a villa and it seemed like a good value for a beautiful waterfront room. Wow…boy did I underestimate it. The room, the service, the amenities….all at a level worthy of a world-class hotel. Irene, the villa concierge, was wonderful and helpful….we felt spoiled the entire time we were there. I could not have dreamed of a better experience.

We visited the Domes Miramare for one evening to celebrate our anniversary because our hotel's fine dining was closed that day. Location of the hotel is partly great (if you ignore the noisy main road right next to it). Specifically, the bar and the restaurants are nicely located on the seafront, which is also why we reserved here. Food and drinks were solid. Unfortunately, service was weak at almost any encounter. As a starter, service at the bar for an aperitif was not good. Despite an almost empty bar, we first waited about 15 minutes before we had to go inside and ask if we could order. Then finally, a waitress came out to take our orders. Yet to pay the bill, it was again a struggle to get anyone's attention. In the restaurant, we then felt that almost all the sommeliere's recommendations were about pricey bottles (70€ and up). Moreover, after the main course, we were basically just ignored by our waitress altogether - I am not sure why, but we felt they wanted to call it a day and get rid of guests. Ultimately, to pay, we again had to walk inside because we would not get anyone's attention otherwise. In sum, our experience was not as luxurious as we expected and certainly not as in other Marriott's luxury category hotels we visited. Given the price, the service is simply not up to standards. This seems to be an ongoing weakness that other guests have noted already, and we fully concur. In contrast, we did not have any such issues at our hotel (Marbella Nido), so the Domes Miramare is no longer an option for our next stay in Corfu. As a side note: Both the bar and the restaurant refused to record my Marriott Bonvoy points. Although the hotel participates in the program and I am a Gold Elite member, we were told that this was not possible unless we had a room reservation. I have never experienced this in any Marriott hotel, and I find it unacceptable.

We have just returned home after a wonderful two weeks at this beautiful hotel Domes Miramare, Corfu. From the moment you step into this hotel you will feel you are in paradise. The entrance hall with the amazing 400 year old olive tree and marble flooring will instantly wow you. We were greeted by Elena with a welcome drink and a wonderful smile who explained everything about the hotel and our booking of The Haute Living Lounge. She gave us a tour around and showed us to our beautiful seafront pavilion retreat room. The room has ample space with a marble bathroom and a lovely outside area. We booked a whirlpool which had patio and we were definitely stunned by the lawn gardens which led direct onto the sea. The restaurant 1962 is simply amazing compliments to the chef who walks around and will advise or help you with his menu. The staff here are so attentive, very friendly and so very knowledgeable about the food and wine. The ambience and scenery sitting right on the sea front is truly breathtaking. We also ate in Raw restaurant which is Asian cuisine and once again outstanding. Gorge the manager was just so lovely and explained the menu. There are options if you wish to pay a little extra for chefs selections which we thoroughly enjoyed. We also visited Makris restaurant which is definitely worth a visit, it’s not on your package for BB&evening meal but it’s an experience of wonderful Michelin star food and you will get a discount to go there from your package. Elena the guest relations agent who looked after us throughout will help you also to book any restaurant outside the hotels as will the concierge. We booked the Haute experience here also which is a club lounge and this is exceptional. The view is spectacular with sun beds, cosy sofas and a pool. The food is replenished every few hours with soft drinks, wine & beer from 12:00 and spirits from 18:00 - 22:00. It’s a beautiful place to relax and have light snacks and meet others enjoying this amazing hotel. We had the most wonderful experience here at this hotel and the staff will do anything to ensure you are enjoying your stay. We were so very lucky during our stay to be upgraded the last four days to the royal suite and this was an experience we will never forget. We thank Christopher Sino Guest Relations Manager for his exceptional hospitality and friendly manner. He as others who I will mention later will go over and above to ensure you get that luxury experience. Before you book this hotel ensure you are aware from your travel agent that the hotel also has beautiful rooms in their new building. Access to this area is through a walkway which goes under the road. It’s honestly stunning with a very large pool with wonderful soft big sun beds. If you book a sea view room here the view across the Ionian Sea is absolutely stunning. Remember that these rooms are a little walking distance from the sea but incredibly worth it. The luxury you will get here and the quietness will definitely allow you to unwind and totally switch off. You obviously have access to the areas closer to the sea as only the, gym, spa, Michelin star restaurant and your big pool are there. We have stayed in many luxury hotels before and this one is possibly one of the best for being right on the sea front, quiet, relaxing and allowing you to totally unwind. They have kept the authenticity of the Greek experience with a beautiful piano most mornings whilst you are enjoying an amazing breakfast which is in the 1962 restaurant. This is buffet style with fresh fruit, meats, salads, pastries and hot food. Entertainment in the evenings are varied from light Greek music to a wonderful band. It’s a quiet hotel but if you want something more lively there’s lots going either outside the hotel a short walk along the beach. The beach is private & stony so ensure you bring beach shoes just to get you over the pebbles until you can reach the sand and then swim literally the whole of sea front. The clearness and colours of the sea will definitely make you go in. We travelled to this hotel from the UK and we cannot wait to return. A huge thank you to Christopher once again and Maria who is just amazing. Maria will greet you with amazing smile and sort out any questions you have at any time. Thank you Elena for looking after us your simply the best. Thank you to Irene, Eva and to all the wonderful staff at this gorgeous hotel. Our last day we were given going home gifts which were a very special touch from the management thank you. I’m sorry this review is so long but I wanted to give you an honest opinion of how lovely it is. See you all again soon. Love from the Princes.

Have just returned from Domes Miramare. We stayed for 2 weeks from the end of September. Just over 30 minutes from the airport. First impressions of the entrance very grand lobby. Check in took place on the sofas right by the sea. The whole frontage is on the waters edge. Staff are friendly and explain what package you have. We were in the half board dine around option which gives access or discount to the other specialist restaurants as well as full table service at the main restaurant every night or a lunch option. There is a daily special menu. So nice to get served at your table and not self serve buffet. Plenty of staff, no waits here or at breakfast. Too many staff to name individually, they all work hard. The waterfront villas are spectacular with direct access into the sea. What better way to swim than right outside your room. But do bring beach shoes as the shore is stony but it soon gives way to smooth sand under crystal clear water. We were lucky enough to have a suite with private pool and jacuzzi, but there are also 2 main pools one in each of the two main hotels, and another pool in the Haute lounge area. Concierge will book all your restaurants for you in the hotel and in the village. In fact they will do pretty much anything for you. As will most of the staff. They also booked us a tour to Corfu town with an amazing guide. We have stayed in many luxury hotels around the world and mostly always choose the ‘club’ level if available. The Haute Living lounge here is maybe one of the best locations we have experienced. Small and intimate, an extra level of luxury. Exactly what we want. If you want endless supplies of sandwiches burgers and booze that is not what this is about, this is sophisticated. It is luxury and relaxed. Honestly don’t believe some of the negative comments people put on here. It is Luxury Resort, it might be under the Marriott banner somehow but it’s not influenced by that, it keeps the Greek style including with the evening traditional music. And piano during breakfast is exquisite. We will definitely return. We have to wait until next season now as the resort is pretty much closing down for the winter. Wife is already on the booking websites.
