This was our 2nd year of going to Leftis! We're mere newcomers to this family orientated hotel. Some people we've met here have been regular visitors to leftis for 20+yrs!
We came back because we felt like members of the family! They were so inviting, so friendly and helpful that we couldn't wait to get back there! And now, we intend to return every year! Moraitika is beautiful, has an award winning beach and is right on leftis doorstep. He has a pristine pool with separate baby pool which is the ideal size to keep an eye on your little ones. The food is the best in moraitika! We ate at leftis every night this time around after trying most places the time before. Leftis Romantica is family run and so lovely, we're taking the children next year!
Thank you to Lefti, Akis and all the family for your hospitality!

Very clean and basic room. We paid extra for AC. We had B&B and the breakfast was filling. Good short walk down a track to the beach. Owner was always available for any issues. We also had quite a lot of evening meals there which were lovely. Not many other people seemed to eat there.

The negatives are: 1) Basic accommodation, uncomfortable beds 2) No TV in the room 3) Free WIFI is only by the pool, not in your room 4) I had to pay 30 Euros for 4 days Air Con in my room 5) A Continental breakfast is NOT provided with this B & B type accommodation, its 2 tiny pieces of toast with very dry egg and very small piece of bacon or sausage etc. You do get tea, coffee, orange juice though. 6) I bought one evening meal there and it was edible and good portions but basic and without frills or garnish. 7) I would not recommend this accommodation for those with wheelchair disabilities, it is not catered for. 8) There is not a lot to do in the village besides the beach and eateries/water sports unless you are prepared to travel further afield 9) Staff are only friendly if you spend a lot of money at the bar/restaurant.

The positives are: 1) It's clean, the pool is spotless, the accommodation is spacious and the toilet and shower are modern and work well 2) Its a very short walk to the beach where there is an abundance of lovely eateries, lots of sunbeds, outdoor showers and changing rooms. 3) There are different water sports to try 4) The bus service into Corfu Town is excellent and there is air con on the buses 5) There are 2 supermarkets, a fabulous bakery and various lovely souveneir shops and eateries a very short walk from the Hotel. 6) In September, the weather was a glorious 30 degrees for the entire 4 days 7) Corfu airport is lovely, very civilised and well organised.

We stayed there three years ago. We were a family and booked three apartments .
One was on the ground floor, nicely decorated with a small but usable shower.
One was towards the back of the same block, but facing the other direction. Everybody in this room got bitten to pieces, and as they were facing the bar, the kids were kept awake by the noise from the drinkers until the early hours every night.
The third room was from the 70s. Tired old pine furniture. And old non working fridge used as a cupboard. Very dim lighting, an additional bed squeezed in, and an additional chair squeezed in on the balcony, which was so small the third chair had to be stacked on top of another to actually make enough room for two people to sit.The shower tray was the size of one in s static caravan with a plastic curtain that stuck to you, the shower head holder was broken so it was "fixed" with tape to hold it in place.
The air conditioning was far too expensive to have.
The breakfasts were good value, and the Greek night is definitely good value and great food.
The main road has "some" pavement but it's not great to walk down it with kids ands lorries thundering past. There are some fantastic restaurants all around. I would recommend the Sea Breeze on the beach. There really isn't much to do in the area as a whole, so we took a couple of bus trips and visited some other resorts.
It was a cheap holiday, but i would rather have paid more and have had a better quality room.
I wouldn't stay there again.

We have just come back from another really fantastic week with Leftis and his family who own and run the Romantica Apartments. The accommodation was spotless and the furnishings were of a very good standard, much better than the usual Greek apartments. There was always hot water and the beds were very comfy with nice sheets and blankets. The swimming pool is fantastic and the pool bar is open all day, from 10am until around 1am ish (sometimes even later) and serves really nice and well-priced drinks, snacks and meals.
Families return year after year to these apartments, including ours. We have been 13 times and love it more and more each year.
Thank you Leftis, wife Katarina and son Akis for looking after us so well and giving us such a great holiday.
See you next year.

Can not recommended this hotel enough!! Very clean. So close to the beach. The food is all fresh. Vegetables are home grown at the back of the hotel. Highly recommend the Greek night, well worth it. Such a lovely family. Nothing was too much trouble. Can not wait to go back

Just got back yesterday after 2 weeks, Leftis is a typically basic greek apartment, but everything provided was more than adequate. They are set in a brilliant location between the beach (150 mtrs) and local street (50 mtrs) The apartments were very clean and well maintained, towels and sheets changed regularly and rubbish also removed by the cleaner, who is amazing.
They have a fantastic freshwater pool that Leftis cleans daily, plenty of sunbeds and impeccably clean pool area. The gardens are tidy and well loved by the family.

Up on the main street there is a coop supermarket, which is run by a fantastic family, Alex will have absolutely anything you need, every time we went in for shopping we were given a beer or an ice cream or a taste of local cooked meats and cheeses, really lovely people.

There wasn't a lot of restaurants open as it was early season, but down the main street on the left about 500 mtrs is a fabulous kebab restaurant/take away called Mam Mam, it's family run and do the most amazing chicken kebabs (the pitta is absolutely fabulous) and lamb chop dinners, they also serve wine and beer which was so cheap, but definitely worth a visit, as a meal for 2 with plenty of beer and wine worked out about £10.00 so great value !! (They also deliver between 6 and 12 pm )
Also had a really lovely meal in "Jimmy's" restaurant, had a great greek "Stifado and wine and beer and worked out about £12.00, his wife is a fantastic cook !!

Went on a great boat trip with a guy called "Mike the bike" (he thinks he's James Bond lol ) He always says he's on a mission, but joking aside we paid €25 for an 9-5 trip with kebab dinner and unlimited drink throw in, went to savoty island which was beautiful, a lagoon for a swim and rest break and to some botanical gardens for a café stop, but it was well worth the money and a really lazy enjoyable day. (But take a Jumper as the sail out in the morning is pretty breezy)

Overall it was a fantastic holiday, would definitely recommend it for location, cleanliness and environment.

Corfu town is a bus ride €2.20 one way each (about £1.50) about 10km and 40 mins. on the bus but definitely well worth the visit, a really nice day out.

We had a great week staying at the Romantica studios, all staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Rooms were very basic, but cleaned twice in the week. The fridge and kitchen area was useful to keep water cool and prepare lunch. The pool area was fantastic, very clean and hardly anyone there. The pool bar had a great selection of drinks and snacks and played lots of Bob Marley which we liked!

THE ONLY NEGATIVE THING ABOUT THE HOTEL - we had to pay an additional 50 EUR for a weeks air conditioning. In August you really need it - we slept for the first night without it and both got mosquito bites which we needed medication for.

_____________________________

The nearby beach is very narrow and the shingle made it uncomfortable to lie on - we recommend taking a trip to Aggio Georgios (St George) where the beaches are long and sandy.

Moraitika town is great - good selection of restaurants and shops and really buzzy in the evenings.

Unless your children are really keen to go - I wouldn't recommend Aqua Land - tired and very dirty and quite expensive for what it was and very long queues.

Evening boat trip to Corfu town is great - 16 EUR per person - travelling by boat in the early evening was beautiful.

My family and I booked our holiday having read the reviews on various websites, which were good. However we found the hotel to be poorly cared for and hardly ever cleaned. In fact, one night whilst sitting on our balcony we over heard an argument between a guest and the proprietor whereby the guest accused the proprietor of remaking beds with dirty sheets. The argument resulted in foul language from the proprietor and the threat of eviction. This was all within ear shot of my young children. On arriving at the hotel in the early hours we found our room had been double booked. We spent an hour sitting outside and we were then given a room but told that in the morning we could either split our family over two studios or go and stay elsewhere. This was blamed on our travel agent, although this happened to several other guests during our 2wk stay. Plus when we got our phone out to contact our agent in front of Lefti he suddenly told us we could stay in the room we had been given the previous night. The other guests this happened to had booked their rooms through different agents. The proprietor was fairly friendly at first but because we didn’t frequent the bar we found his attitude became surly and abrupt. We did not find the hotel to be child friendly. My children, being children, happened to one day run in one of the bedrooms to which we received an angry telephone call from Lefti claiming that a guest had complained, even though it was mid afternoon and we were above the office and toilets! He also shouted at them one day at the pool, accusing them of wanting to put their inflatables in the pool when they had just returned from the beach. In fact my wife was just about to put the inflatables in the room as she was aware that grumpy Lefti did not allow inflatables in the pull and ended up having a tug of war with Lefti over a lilo! Another day the childrens bedroom door slammed in the breeze and Lefti phoned up accusing them of slamming doors. The rent of air conditioning was 18 Euros per day. You could not rent fans. A number of guests who purchased or rented fans elsewhere had these confiscated by the proprietor, which in my mind constitutes theft. We bought 2 fans and hid them every day so the cleaners could not steal them. However, nowhere was there a sign stating that fans were not allowed. All in all a very disappointing and stressful holiday which is a pity because we have found our previous holidays in Corfu to be excellent with friendly people and extremely clean hotels with air conditioning at 5 Euros per day.

No there aren't. In Moraitika you'll find only typical Greek tavernas and other eateries offering souvlaki or burgers, for example. The only non Greek cuisines I've experienced there are Italian and some British (fish and chips, for example). I don't know if there are any Asian restaurants on the island.... maybe in Corfu town, but I've never seen one.
