The hotel was set in beautiful grounds and gardens right on the beach. I stayed for a week with my adult daughter and we had a very relaxing time staying in a twin bed room in the block where the restaurant was situated. The 2 other blocks looked more modern and I did manage to look inside one of their double rooms to find I preferred the room we had far more except for our mattress. Our twin beds were hard as rock and we suffered awful back and neck ache the entire stay. I noted the mattresses in the newer block were memory foam which they ought to provide in all rooms if you ask me. Thank God for the lovely SPA lady who sorted my aches out who I highly recommend for a massage. The other guests seemed to be of retirement age upwards with few younger guests whilst we were there. The hotel had a very nice bar area with plenty of space and a taverna restaurant both very nice to sit watching the sea from. Just a short walk along the beach were lots of other bars and eateries which were all cheaper than the hotel. The hotel restaurant was clean and tidy and we had no issue finding foods to eat each night. Staff were always helpful and friendly during our stay. Beach was great and the water very clear and shallow with a sandy bottom and you could wade out a long way. The pool was clean, tidy and well maintained but there seemed to be a lot of people getting up early to lay their towels on beds which was a little annoying. Sun loungers were also free and available to sit within the olive trees and on the beach area. I liked this very much as plenty of choice as to where you could decide to sunbathe. There is a bus stop right outside the hotel with buses to Corfu town about 50 mins away and a shop opposite which I found to be cheap and not overpriced as one normally finds near to the beach.

We spent a week here and would love to return. The hotel consists of buildings centred around a pool with lots of rooms with a sea view. That is it’s advantage. Our room was 40 m from our sun beds and another 50 from the sea, which is beautiful, crystal clear and gently shelving. You can sun bath by the pool and easily chose between a pool swim or sea swim. The pool is small and might be pushed in high season but absolutely great last week of august/first of September. However it’s clean, modern and well kept. The main part of the hotel has had a serious upgrade and is beautiful, I would imagine rooms there are similar. We had a room in a small block over looking the garden and pool( but we could still see the sea) These are older and bathrooms tiny and need upgrading. However the location is superb and close to pool and sea and small bathroom a minor inconvenience. The rooms themselves were freshly decorated and pleasant.
The hotel is well away from the coast road that blights so many places along this stretch so really quiet, it’s away from the slightly grubby and brash main Messonghi/Maraitika beach area which didn’t appeal to us.
The reason for not giving 5* is the dining experience. Whilst the food was plentiful and as good as anything you’ll find locally, the dining room reminded us of an old style canteen with far too many tables packed in. We would definitely only do B&B next time.

The hotel is set in beautiful lush and well kept grounds, not too big either which made for a more friendly stay. On arrival we checked in by friendly, informative staff and were given our keys. The room was on the 2nd floor with a huge balcony and views of the gardens, pool and out to sea. The rooms was nicely decorated with comfortable beds, lovely modern bathroom and a fridge. It was the end of season so very quiet and peaceful. Breakfast and dinner were included in our package in a bright and airy restaurant with generally friendly waiting staff. The food was maybe a little disappointing for a 4* star hotel as it was very salty and quite samey. I have certainly had a better selection elsewhere over the years. The pool area is well maintained and the beach is just a few steps away with straw umbrellas and sunbeds. If you love cats this is the place for you as they roam freely around the resort and are very friendly and well cared for. They joined us round the pool, taking shade under the sunbeds.
There is a lovely board walk along the beach leading to bars and restaurants but we were disappointed to find that most had closed for the season along with most of the bars and restaurants in the village. Be prepared for this if choosing an October holiday. The hotel bar was nice with plenty of seating and deck chairs on the grass area looking out to sea. It was quite pricey and the bartenders, although efficient, were not particularly friendly. We found the Albatross Hotel beach bar along the sea front more jolly with lively staff and drinks were reasonable.
All in all, we had a great Autumn break. The weather can be changeable but the temperature was always around 25 degs. When it rained at least it was warm rain, they were short sharp showers and then the sun came out.
Delfinia Hotel we would recommend!!

Arrived after booking 3 rooms adjacent to each other only to find they only had 2 rooms....very rude reception staff, asking for proof of our booking, never at any time did they apologise or accept any responsibility for their mistake. Placed 1 daughter in 1 block and me my husband in another with our daughter and baby grandson. All 3 rooms stunk of drains, 1 daughter itchy ftom bed. We asked to be moved as had paid for a room with a pool view, they said we had a pool facing room....not quite the same but we persisted and eventually they offered us 3 rooms in same block but did not help with luggage transfer.

Food is repetitive, staff are lazy tables not relaid, wine undrinkable.

Have to put your own sunbeds out on beach, no bar service at beach, get there by 7.30 am if you want a bed.

Very expensive for any additional food or drink, Taverna bar on beach only open 12.30 to 4pm? Waiting staff useless , get orders wrong, then argue with you about it, don't bother.

All in all a 3 star at best, they give themselves 4 stars so they can charge you £21 tax

Pool only open 9-6 so no early swims. They charge for towels too and they have certainly seen better days, thin and extremely well worn, bring your own if you have room.

Avoid

We stayed in a superior twin with balcony and sea view, the room was in the main building on the ground floor. We were really happy with the room, well finished and clean, it could definitely do with more storage, there were only 2 tiny drawers as well as the wardrobe, please consider bedside tables with drawers! Bathroom lovely. The gardens were lovely, pool area too, everywhere was clean, there was always a shortage of sunbeds and unfortunately you have to play the sunbed game at 8am ish to nab one. We never managed to get a sunbed/umbrella on the beach unfortunately. We really enjoyed the food, always found it to be hot/warm, good choice, love the traditional Greek dishes. The drinks are very expensive, however, they are a similar price all the way along the front, you have to go into town which is 5 mins walk to get a beer under €6. You can buy from the supermarket and keep in your fridge. One thing I was disappointed with was staff friendliness, apart from the odd couple of staff mainly at the beach bar and 1 waiter in the restaurant, we found everyone else to be a bit cold, we've holidayed in/around the Greek Islands 5 times before and this was the first time we have found the majority of people to be less friendly. Entertainment didn't start until 9m which was a bit late for us (2yr old), and there wasn't a weekly kids disco as stated. There is a play room which we found on the 2nd to last day, open 11-1. The hotel should really have some literature in the room so you know what there is- we only found out about towels because I'd read about it on here before going, had to ask about the safe, late checkout, didn't know about the kids room, most hotels have a little information in the room for guests. Moraitika itself is not so wheelchair and pushchair friendly, cars block pavements and one side of the road so you have to walk in the road sometimes. It's very small, couple of nice family restaurants, supermarkets etc. I don't think we'd stay again due to drink prices and we'd try somewhere other than Moraitika. But overall we enjoyed our stay.

We have just returned from this hotel after a wonderful holiday! It’s a lovely smallish hotel where you can relax and unwind the minute you get there. We had a superior twin room in the main building on the 2nd floor, our kids (15&11) had the adjoining room next door. They both overlooked the sea and this was wonderful, you get a full view including the gardens which were beautiful. The rooms inside were perfectly adequate and nicely decorated with a good double shower, the air conditioning could have been better, but we got used to it.
The hotel is literally on the beach and the sea is so shallow and warm, perfect for kids and the elderly although it is a bit stoney as you get in.
My kids had a great time as there is lots of things on offer including chess, pool, jumping off the pontoon and snorkelling.
One huge plus is the WiFi is very good, we had no problems connecting at all and that help keep the kids happy when needed. I also thinks it’s worth mentioning as I have definitely been to other hotels where this has been a big issue.
We had breakfast and dinner every day for our 10 day stay, always plenty on offer lots of choice and the staff are wonderful people, very attentive.
You will have to play the sun bed game a little, some days were better than others but to get on the beach you do need to be early, we loved watching the sunrise so wasn’t a problem for us to be honest.
There is a walk along the beach front and lots of super markets and bars along them which was good for an evening.
Lunch was either a visit to the firefly taverna (♥️ this place) family run and just behind the hotel so quick and easy and a break from the sun. Or we had baguettes from the bakery which is up on the main road, easy to find.
I would definitely go back here we wanted to fly and flop and that’s what we did, great family time.
Thanks Delfinia

We stayed for 5 nights and very much enjoyed our stay. The location is great as you have direct beach access, and some restaurants for lunch as well as supermarkets very close by. The hotel has recently been (partially) renovated so some of the pictures are a bit outdated. The restaurant interior could use an update as well, however, Kostas and his team are amazing and the food is good. Reception staff is also very friendly and helped us with car rental, a good taxi service and beach beds. The beds are being reserved by guests very early in the morning so it’s hard to find a spot when you arrive after breakfast. Some extra beds should be placed as there is plenty of space. Although we very much liked our room (junior suite) it was quite expensive for what you get. However, if you book the much cheaper standard room the value for money is great.

The location of this hotel is good; right near the beach which was beautiful.
However this is definitely not a four star hotel. We were bracing for the worst though as we'd booked this super last minute and had read quite a few negative reviews anyway.
My partner and I stayed here for the weekend and were really disappointed with the room we were initially given. Small bathroom, dirty, and not at all what we expected. We requested to be moved that night, and managed to get a new room the following day which was much better (in the newer building where reception was) but discovered the air con barely worked. We asked about this and were told by staff that it was normal and that air con was controlled centrally. went out for the day and upon coming back it still wasn't working. Some staff member came to help us with it and pressed a button but this still barely made it work. I was hot during the night. We were also made to pay an extra 40 euro for this room upgrade, when the aircon barely worked and the shower leaked (!)
Bathroom shower also leaked water while having a shower. There was a couple of really welcoming reception staff, whilst a couple of others weren't caring and we found unpleasant. I was unwell the morning of our check out and needed the room longer, the staff member on the phone at reception was very unpleasant telling me we needed to be out of the room "in maximum 10 minutes" We were told the air conditioning problem we had was also not the reception staffs "problem".
I also later on overheard this same woman shutting someone down when they were asking about the sunbeds outside, bluntly telling them they just need to ask the staff outside, in a really unprofessional way.
Man at the bar who served us the night we arrived was very nice, providing us with free sandwiches on our arrival with a positive vibe.
Nice beach, some nice staff, but otherwise NOT a 4 star hotel.

Waited 2 years for this holiday, on arrival we didn't get a smile, hello or welcome from the girl on the front desk she just talked non stop to the other girl on the desk got there at 12pm waited 3 hours for our room, when we got it it was the wrong room so had to wait again to be moved to the room we had paid for.
it's very clean the cleaners work non stop very friendly always smiling and saying hello not the same we could say for the restaurant or bar staff( apart from the 2 men waiters and Alexander) they are rude and moody
We would say good morning or evening and smile we Never got one back, it seemed as they didn't really want us there.
Pool area is lovely but could do with a sweep each day, not just a water down every couple of days
VERY expensive bar €17 for a beer and vodka and tonic, where outside is about€9 and more friendly
When walking outside be carful as there is hardly any pavment to walk on and cars drive very fast, we walked along the beach to bars in the evening, decking very uneven and you will need a torch as there is hardly any lighting, also very dark on the driveway into the hotel
Hotel Massage was amazing from Maria wanted to take her home.
Corfu Town was lovely and really friendly staff everywhere you went.
The supermarket at end of driveway is lovely man who will give you any info you need about the area
On the day we left I return our door card to the same young girl on the desk, she took it off me didn't say thank you safe journey or anything
It's the first time we have been somewhere and would never return, which is a shame

Just back from a 10 night stay in the Delfinia Hotel on the beach in Moraitika and can't thank the staff enough in providing us with a most wonderful relaxing holiday. We really struck lucky with our choice as there were so many hotels in Corfu to chose from but we believe we found the best.

The staff were so friendly, courteous and couldn't do enough for us and that's from reception staff to bar staff to housekeepers all lovely welcoming people.

The cleanliness was excellent, shower water always hot no matter what time you used it.

We even got a late check out which was brilliant as our flight was not until 9:30.

The hotel was busy but you had plenty of space so did not feel crowded and all covid guidelines were followed to a t.

This is a hotel for couples young and old. It is also perfect for families with young children up to the age of 10. Imagine being able to supervise their water activities from the comfort of your sunlounger as they watched little fish swimming by, collected pebbles in shallow, warm wave free water.
Yes there were also swimming pools but for the first time ever we spent all our time on the beach.

Also had brilliant massage from Angelika.

No complaints from us only sadness at having to return to reality.

Thank you Hotel Delfinia we loved every minute of our stay.

There is, it's randomly placed on the beach to the left of the hotel but not associated with the hotel I think. No idea what it's called, doubtful it has a phone number or website to be honest. I saw a few boats coming in and out but I wasn't confident to rent from the place.
