Villa Kynthia, a charming family hotel of considerable historical value, rests in the picturesque fishing village of Panormo. Each room at Villa Kynthia has its own character and style and caters to different family needs. There are 2 suites (Artemis – Odyssey) 1 apartment (Rea) and 2 rooms (Pandora, Nefeli) Breakfast is served in the tranquil courtyard in the shadow of the age-long pine tree. Our morning meal includes homemade marmalade, cake made with organic olive oil of our own production as well as pure local produce like goat’s yoghurt, prime quality cheese, eggs, olives, oatcake and brews of Cretan herbage. The pool, under the ancient pine-tree, is large enough to take a swim if the beach which is only a three minute stroll…seems too far.

This is the most fabulous guest house! The wonderful Yanna and her sister Maria will look after you ! You feel like you are with friends! Super room and spotless, breakfast delicious all home made! Delicious home made snack and wine on arrival . Swimming pool and delightful walled garden. In the village Center and you can get to the sea and swimming in under two minutes! Fabulous local restaurants, try George and Georgia , all home made and just next door! This village is perfect for exploring Crete! I would come back to Villa Kynthia any day and highly recommend it !

We stayed a week in Villa Kynthia. Nice, well decorated room and large bathroom. We met some other visitors of the hotel during the drinks in the late afternoon on the courtyard. And most of all: The staff is very friendly with lots of humor:). Thx a lot for everything!!

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful mansion. The rooms are big and wonderful decorated with super comfy beds. The best thing is the service by the sisters Yanna and Maria. The provide and service a very tasty and rich breakfast in the lovely garden and are fun to have a chat with. All the restaurants (try George and Georgia and the harborside Aykura) are within a short stroll, as are the beaches. We are dreaming if going back soon!

A last minute booking and what a find! Our room with balcony overlooking the Main Street was spacious and beautifully furnished. The courtyard garden was a fabulous place to eat the delicious breakfast, take in the rays by the pool or enjoy an aperitif with the other guests. The hotel was just a few minutes walk from everything this quiet village has to offer. But what takes this hotel above and beyond are the staff. Joanna and Maria couldn’t have been better hosts; the love with which they carry out their role made me feel like a family friend. I will be back!

Stayed here early September and this was our second stay here. As before this is a charming villa in the heart of the village. Was very well looked after by Yanna and Maria. We were met by Karina who is one of the owners, a charming lady with great knowledge of the local region . Surrounded by excellent tavernas and a very good mini market. Stayed in the Odessa suite, wonderful. Will definitely stay again and again. It was also nice to meet Antonis ( the other owner) who was most helpful in changing our travel dates due to COVID .

We were delighted by the fishing village of Panormos, so sadly empty while global tourism is all but halted. Villa Kynthia is quaint and perfect for the local tavernas and bar. Yanna (apologies if this is the wrong spelling) looked after us so well and the breakfasts, served in the picturesque courtyard, are terrific. A great holiday at a difficult time for the locals. Hopefully they will be full again soon!

We travelled there in 2016 but are very keen to return there as and when current travel restrictions allow. The 'When did you travel' box on here only allows me to go back to June 2019! We loved the Villa Kynthia - small, unique, comfortable and special. Walking distance to a beach that you can swim from. Panormos is small, pretty, and comes alive in the evening with plenty of choice when it comes to restaurants and bars.

The ambience, architecture and warm welcome from the splendid Ioanna, makes this small but charming place stand out from the conventional hotels springing up along the coast. There are only a few rooms, each large and well furnished. The care and attention provided by Ioanna makes the stay feel personal and special. Like others, we plan to become regular visitors.

My partner and I are just back from a fab holiday at Villa Kynthia - our first time in Panormos which is an absolutely delightful village. The accommodation is great. The villa and courtyard garden are very pretty with the bonus of a swimming pool. The buffet breakfasts were yummy with local produce (eggs, yoghurt, fruit etc.) - prepared by Yianna and Maria. Yianna looks after the day to day administration on behalf of the owner and absolutely nothing is too much bother for her. We would thoroughly recommend Villa Kynthia.
