Situated 1/3 way up Passo Giove, this large facility spread over three buildings offers magnificent views, fine dining and quality rooms. We shared a very large double room in the main block but I understand the rooms were much smaller in the adjacent and opposite buildings. A quirky but nice design was the use of silver birch tree trunks as...

Despite having made a prior reservation some months in advance, we were shown to a room overlooking new building works, and with a shower which was broken beyond function. Another room key was offered, and we moved our belongings there, only to find that it was infested with wasps. A third key was then handed over at reception (no assistance...

FB gave me a flashback memory of what was posted one year ago today. It was the pic of our group of 12 at this Sporthotel in the pool. A year has gone by and find myself still thinking about this impromptu stop (was only to be for a drink, but stayed the afternoon, evening and next morning). We found...

Travelling over the Jaufen pass via motorcycle trying to get from Austria to Vipitino Italy I vastly underestimated the distance and we ended up on the mountain in the dark about torrential rain about to hit. I came accross this hotel on my way down the pass and decided to stop before the rain hit. I was greeted by the...

Just got back from 7 days vacation in South Tyrol and we stayed at the Sporthotel. We were in a group of 8 traveling from Switzerland after hearing about this part of Italy which is amazing place to be. The hotel has a full program for the week, that includes hiking trips, wine tasting, disco night and other activities. There...

Located on the SS44 from San Leonardo in Passiria to Vipiteno. A separate annexe with rooms across the road from the main hotel building. we had a two room suite which although with slightly dated decor, was very comfortable. the bathroom particularly was clean and modern with a fantastically powerful and hot shower. Two balconies and good value at €90...

The hotel has many facilities (indoor and outdoor pool, sauna, turkish bath, tennis courts...), but none of them is particularly good. The "spa" is very basic, with no relax area (just a few plastic beach chairs) and no atmosphere at all. The swimming pool would be nice, with very warm water, but it was small and packed with noisy children...
