The place is so run down, filthy and dangerous! We booked a ocean front bungalow. 1st we arrived, the staff have little to no English, which is ok as we are in their country and we tried our best to communicate, but it just made things very difficult. We got to our room and it was such a let down...

I travelled alone, basically for muay thai-training, swimming in the ocean and eathing thai food. I like Lagoon Bay first of all because it is at the door step of the ocean, and with a nice...

Pros : Quiet area of the beach if that's what you're looking for. Wifi worked well. Cons: Mattresses are AWFUL! Basically like sleeping on the floor. They don't give you free water unlike most other hotels. The rooms are terribly run down as well as the bathrooms. A/C worked well but is very noisy. Had to pay cash, didn't honour...

Just had a fabulous 6 night stay here. We went to koh samui to celebrate my sons wedding and just wanted a cheap and cheerful hotel on the beach. This place was fabulous and we could not fault it. We had a sea view bungalow which was kept lovely and clean, had great air conditioning and was a good size....

“Bungalows close to the pool and ocean are most quiet. In the six rooms close to the reception you will hear the traffic too good.”

“Sea view rooms are the best for obvious reasons”
smilerdownes, 31 Aug 2015 | Read review
“There are garden rooms which are at the front of the property near the road which are the cheapest but for not much extra you can upgrade to a garden villa which is a standalone bungalow with its own deck. I would advise staying in these rooms as they are quieter and much bigger :)”

“Closer to the pool and beach, are more noisy (but who cares, you're not staying inside, you're going to the beach). A quiet bungalow is half way to the last bungalow, and away from the walking track.”
