Stayed here for 16 days and have been coming here for over 5 years From Billy in Reception to the other staff all very friendly Location is brilliant right in the heart of Chaweng every where you need to go within 2 minute walk right across the street from 2 of the best bars in town The Islander and Delaneys (fly Legends) Supermarket next door. Right on the beach the swimming pool is leased out to the Elephant Club a very posh beach bar but hotel guests can now use their facilities just collect a couple of towels from reception and take them down to the swimming pool buy a drink and you can stay there al day . The 2 storey rooms by the garden are the best to stay in large clean rooms with safety deposit box have huge balconies great for sitting out on had my breakfast and relaxed on them every day cost was 1300 very reasonable as other beach hotels are 1600 to 2000 other guests were families and couples as this hotel offers a more peaceful set up than the hotels next door which cater for young people. very quiet in the mornings but there is noise from the beach bar and the Ark bar later on which never bothered me more noise from low flying aeroplanes! Its not the Ritz but I love it will be back in july

We arrived late and as one of our friends previously stayed here we booked in. Afterwards we found out that this is the most expensive accommodation on this stretch of beach. The place are in a bad state of repair with no maintenance being done. The pool and bar are contracted out and are not for use by the Suneast guests (only found out after we paid and no refund). Please avoid this place at all cost

Have nothing bad to say. Our room was basic but perfect! Location wise was amazing! The pool belongs to elephant beach club but buy a drink and you can sit all day. Can be a little noisy at night as of the beach bars late parties but it didn’t stop us having a good night sleep! There is a new hotel being built right next door atm so building noise can be heard but again it wasn’t an issue I don’t think. Really clean comfortable relaxed friendly stay. Would 200% book again.

Suneast bungalows is a very average place but let me start first with the good things about this place. Good location, just a few meters from the beach, kind staff, washing services, clean room and a hot shower (big ++) We stayed here 5 nights. (booked 2 nights extra but that was more because we were to lazy to look for an other place) We payed 1700 baht per night which is way overpriced for a place like this . Internet signal is poor in the bedrooms but outside it works fine. AC makes a lot of noise and you hear the music in the night from the beach club, BUT this didn't bother us. The pool doesn't belong to Suneast Bungalows and you only can use it when you order some drinks at the Elephant beach club (when we came the pool was very green)

Not worth the money at all, absolutely disgusting first room had dead flies killed on the wall in the bathroom and second room had nail cuttings on the bedside table. We paid 1500 baht per night I asked for a refund immediately which was declined, I advised them I wouldn't be staying they again refused a refund for my 3 nights. There is better accommodation either side of this place at similar prices

Stayed for two nights in a large double room which was very clean and spacious. Billy at the front desk is very helpful and friendly. Infinity pool is small but really nice and the Juices and cocktails from the bar are freshly made and top quality. Great location very close to all the action but not too close. Very affordable accommodation well worth a visit.

I stayed here for three nights with my boyfriend and another couple who only stayed for two nights. Ages in the group ranged from 26 years to mid 40s. The first night I stayed in the bungalow. This was 2500 baht (approx £50). The bungalows were lovely and we faced the beautiful pool closest to the beach. The bungalows were unique in the way they were designed but did require maintenance. Simple things such as the toilet roll holder having fallen off, the key fob fallen out of the holder and the curtain pole had moved slightly away at one side. It didn't present a problem but it seemed such a waste that it wasn't repaired as it was something that could have been done very easy at minimal cost. The wifi didn't work in the bungalow we were in also as the signal wasn't strong enough. The second and third night were spent in the apartments. This was at a cost of 1200 baht per night. They were basic but very clean and everything worked. Nothing was damaged and the wifi worked in the apartment. The pool area is misleading. It appears that the luxury pool within the grounds is the pool hotel. This is not correct. The pool hotel is to the left of the accommodation and is not as nice. We used the pool within the grounds which belongs to the elephant bar. It is lovely but to use the pool you do need to buy drinks from the bar. This was not a problem for us as we drink around the pool usually so the cost incurred was not an added expense for us. The staff at the elephant bar however are lovely and really do make your pool time relaxing and friendly. The cocktails are also great! I don't think I would stay at this hotel again. I think it is slightly overpriced for what it is and better accommodation could be found with time and research but overall it was a pleasant experience! I will be returning to the elephant bar for my wine smoothie however upon my return in April!

I was invited to stay here by a friend that works on the beach at Chaweng. I arrived late in the day and was offered a room for 1000baht ($40AUD) or a self contained bungalow for 1200baht ($48AUD), I chose the bungalow. It was very clean and spacious and true Thai style bungalow. There was aircon a TV and safe. The resort is on the beach front and conveniently located in the centre of Chaweng. There is an infinity pool and a small restaurant as part of the resort facilities. The food there is also very tasty. Overall it was a comfortable stay at a very very reasonable price. The room was cleaned and services every day. I will be staying here again when I return to Koh Samui.

First of all, it is NOT located in Bo Phut! Suneast Bungalows is located in Chaweng, next to the ARK bar. Fortunately, you do not have any noise from that bar. We stayed in a bungalow which was very decent. Just two beds (plus one extra) and a bathroom. There is no breakfast of dinner included. But you can find good and quite cheap food on the streets. The pool is lovely. Perfect from side and not too crowded. Our room was about 36€ a night, which is quite cheap compared to other accommodations in Chaweng. Moreover, you get quite some value for your money. There was roomservice every day, and it was possible to book a couple of days extra, and we could pay night by night.
