Tube 'n Axe is a great hostel with friendly staff and really comfy beds. I came with my friend and stayed in one of their raised tents and it was a cozy space. The bathrooms had amazingly hot showers and there were really cute dogs. We did the tubing trip through the hostel and it was the most fun thing...

Stayed here in one of their tents a couple of days ago and I would recommend this place for anyone looking for an alternative style of accommodation. The tents are fantastic and the staff are extremely friendly. A must is the full day tubing operated by 3 lads from the backpackers. Thanks again tube and axe... Mark

Bad points: Ridiculously Loud music next to our room until late - we know it is a backpackers and are ok with some noise but it was so loud!! It seems a bad choice to have it going on right next to the double rooms as well. The shower was dark and dingy as the light doesn't reach that corner...

We stay for one night, our room is a little bit small but everything was wonderful. We drink our beers in front of the fire and eat good dinner. Also breakfast was good. Everybody is friendly and very welcoming. Briefly very nice place to stay. Highly recommended.

I arrived rather late at the backpackers with our group, however, we were well received and the pre-ordered braai was ready for us. Our vegetarian and vegan clients were sorted out with suitable meals, without any hassles. The accommodation was great; very comfortable, clean and well presented. An enjoyable experience all round!

Nice little quite stayover in Tsitsikamma. Enjoyed the A-frame house. Could do with better amenities and there is huge potential for upgrading, but a nice all round stay. Can look at better quality beds as they are very outdated and not the best comfort.

We were fortunate to get a room with 2 beds and a bathroom with shower, toilet and washbasin. There were unfortunately no cupboards. Breakfast is basic , sharing long tables with fellow travelers. They need to upgrade on security as the gate to the property is open 24 hours with no access control. Some of the guests lost some property...

Really a very wonderful place. All very well maintained and the receptionists are to be congratulated for the care and assistance booking tours. The city is very beautiful and well cared for as well..

Excellent accommodation, excellent food, very friendly and efficient staff. Fab atmosphere. Thoroughly recommended. Our student group also did the blackwater tubing, which they thoroughly enjoyed (despite the cold - not surprising at this time of year!).

The moment we got there we had a bad feeling about the place and we should have followed our gut feeling! Only stayed one night after a few of our things were stolen. I understand this happens everyday but I really feel the owner can do something about this if he doesn't want a bad reputation as I believe this...
