One of the best resorts I’ve ever stayed in Europe. Even though the resort is huge in size, it gives you a pleasant feeling of security and privacy. It includes everything you might need, from transportation till pharmacy stores. The location is great, within a lush green landscape, quiet and by the sea.
The hotel employees are by your side 24/7, friendly, kind and very polite.

The food at the resort is amazing. Dont forget to try out the japanese restaurant, Onuki! You wont be disappointed!

I would also like to praise the policy of the hotel during the Covid pandemic: in your hotel room you could find a small package including masks, hand sanitizer and antiseptic wipes. The employees where always wearing a mask or a face shield and gloves, they were handing you clean towels to use at the beach or the hotel pool, they were sanitizing the seats/tables/beach chaise longues before the vacationers used them, towels in the hotel room were being changed every day and in every restaurant of the resort there was a QR code available to scan and see the menu in order to avoid any virus spread via the regular menu catalogues. You will be also thrilled to know that the stuff is also being tested for corona virus every 2 weeks.

In conclusion, if you ever visit Peloponnese in Greece, this is the hotel you should stay! Highly recommended!

The Ultimate destination in terms of Safety and Relaxation, away from the city and surrounded by the pure nature of Messinian land. The resort's staff follows all measures and you can see them desinfecting all public areas just as soon a guest has left a table, desk, or room . Restaurant options vary from Japanese to Lebanese and Greek , bars , pools , spa, water sports etc.made it easy for us to stay in the hotel without having to get outside the resort. Especially,we would
like to mention Anax Sunset Bar as the perfect cocktail spot., as well as the quick responsiveness and friendliness of reception staff. Hope everything goes well in the world and we can visit more often !!!

A sprawling resort with beautiful grounds and fantastic facilities throughout. There are multiple dining facilities, from fine dining to a relaxed beach bar and restaurant. There is an expansive golf course along with tennis courts and numerous swimming pools.

I had a very spacious Premium Infinity room with sea view. All Infinity rooms have a private plunge pool which is great in the summer heat. There was only room for one sun lounger on the veranda as there is also a table with seats. The bed was very comfortable and the room spotlessly clean. The bathroom had a bathtub with separate cubicles for the shower and toilet. Complimentary Anazoe Spa amenities are provided.

The room had coffee and tea making facilities with both a kettle for boiling water as well as a coffee machine. The fridge was empty due to Covid restrictions but I received plenty of complimentary bottled water both by housekeeping during the day as well as during turn down service.

One thing that shines throughout the property is the service. Across the restaurants, and all other hotel associates were always at the top of their game. Extremely professional, very friendly and always helpful.

Breakfast was served at Perro restaurant which is at the main building. It was a buffet manned by staff who served whatever you chose. There was a wide selection from breads and fruit to cooked options including many Greek specialties. I also enjoyed dining at Barbouni, the fish restaurant by the beach and at Souvlakerie and the Kafenio in the central agora.

The hotel is located on a long stretch of sandy beach (mostly coarse but with pockets of finer sand). Although the hotel commands a big part of it, the beach is not private. It is, however, stunning and I enjoyed walking its entire length.

In terms of constructive comments, one thing I noticed was that the shower head in my room was not performing as well, due to a build up of limescale, potentially from the water being hard. This resulted in water not coming out uniformly from the shower head. I cleared off a number of the holes which then allowed better water flow and a more enjoyable shower. I also noticed, that when housekeeping cleaned my room, the used cups were not replaced but instead rinsed and placed back. When I returned to my room on the first day after service was provided, I noticed that the cups were still wet and one was still a little stained. I’m not sure if this is the hotel’s policy but my assumption was that they would be replaced with clean ones rather than just rinsed.

Other than that, I highly recommend The Romanos, and I personally look forward to returning at the earliest opportunity.

We spent more than a week at Costa Navarino Romanos in July and our expectations were exceeded by far. We know this part of Greece since 40 years and had know of the hotel before but we preferred different ways to enjoy the region. Also, the idea of a large resort in this rural part of Peloponnese on this enormous and beautiful beach did not appeal to us at first. However, we looked for a comfortable place and so we tried it – luckily!
The rooms are large and functional, very pleasant, with nice views. Housekeeping is efficient and cleanliness is perfect. Although there are hundreds of rooms and the hotel was full, we were never disturbed by noise or anything.
The beach is spectacular, kilometers long, super clean and there are more than enough sun beds and other facilities to make it really comfortable for adults and kids alike. Even though the hotel was full, there was always ample space and loads of free sun beds – no need for anyone to “place their towels at midnight” 😉. There is service for drinks on the beach but that only starts at 11am.
All facilities at the hotel are spacious, generous in architecture but most spectacular we found the Spa and the bar at the lobby to enjoy the beautiful sunset plus of course the beautiful restaurant settings. The various pools we never used given the sea is so nice at this hotel.
The restaurants are of the highest international standards with Onuki and the Flame our clear favorites. The food is absolutely delicious, the locations breathtaking and the service fast, very friendly, highly professional and flawless – this is not easy to achieve as we know so well done to management on this!
The other restaurant we used almost every day, was Barbouni down on the beach: super location, nice food, great staff (!), flexible for any special wishes and the location is spectacular!!
We are pretty demanding clients and know the hotel business and to make our stay perfect, I must mention that Dimitri Saplachenko from Guest Relations was absolutely brilliant in making every wish come true. It is people like Dimitri and his great team across all departments that make the difference for any hotel and hence we want to congratulate Dimitri and all the team for the great work they do every day to make the stay for all guests very special. We know many other beach resorts in the world and for us, taking all factors into account, this is the best in Europe! We are returning in August to spend another week at Costa Navarino.

The repeatability I visit this resort tells how spellbound I am with it! Costa Navarino is just the ideal place for vacation. I visit it every year (mainly during the Agiou Pneumatos bank holiday), since 2016. I will start with the staff and the facilities. I have not met such a polite and helpful staff in any other resort, hotel or restaurant. The staff were amazingly helpful and friendly and super conscientious about ensuring their guests felt at ease and safe as possible with regard to COVID-19. Everything was spotless clean, masks and sanitizers were available everywhere and the personnel always wearing gloves and masks. The facilities are extremely clean and well organised. The rooms (at least at Romanos) are amazing and super clean. Furthermore the restaurants within the resort covers almost all the ethnic cusines. This year I visited the bar next to Romanos lobby, called "Anax" which serves amazing coctails, Premium Drinks and Greek made Gin's. All the restaurants since my last visit they have upgrade their menus and quality of the food. Well done guys, keep up the amazing job.
Obviously we will be coming back again and again!!

We stayed here for 2 nights and that was the best hotel resort we have ever been to. Everything was excellent and top quality. We got a complimentary room upgrade which was so nice and the room was sparkling clean and spacious. The resort has a plethora of facilities (beach, pools, bars, restaurants, water sports, tennis, gym, spa etc), that can accommodate everyone.

Staff were there every time you needed something. Each one of them was so friendly and kind and they made us feel like home.

I want to say a special thank you to Konstantina Lappa and Semina. Their standard of customer service was on another level. They were always so friendly and personable, thank you both for making our stay even better.

Finally, the Covid safety measures in place are very impressive e.g. temperature checks, consistent sanitization of sun beds and surfaces, and the resorts itself is big enough that you can maintain a safe distance at all times.

Having already stayed at the Westin Costa Navarino (and really enjoyed our vacation), this year we decided to try the Romanos.
It was perfect and then some. Apart from the luscious gardens and the endless pristine beach, what we most appreciated is the efficient, helpful and always smiling staff. Regarding the COVID measures, we felt totally safe. Everything was spotless clean, masks and sanitizers were available everywhere and the personnel always wearing gloves and masks. Even in the early morning, in the open air, when nobody was nearby, we noticed that the gardeners and the people who took care of the pools were wearing their masks properly.
The breakfast buffet not only offered an endless choice of everything one could desire, but the quality was top: the croissants were yummy, the eggs properly cooked and the cheeses from the top Greek artisanal producers. Dinner wise we had plenty of choice. Everything we tried was good, but a special shout-out for the Flame restaurant, the food was perfect and topped only by the knowledgeable and pleasant service.
Obviously we will be coming back again and again!!!

In spite of Covid we were fortunate enough to spend 2 weeks in Greece over the summer, 5 nights of which we spent at Costa Navarino. We travelled as a family of four, 2 adults and 2 teenagers and stayed in interconnecting deluxe garden view rooms. The resort is beautiful with lovely architecture and landscaping and all the facilities you could need. Lovely welcome at check in and service levels are top notch everywhere. Rooms are comfortable with a spacious balcony area and good bathroom. The breakfast buffet arrangements with staff serving guests at the various stations worked very well even during the busy summer period and the selection and quality of food was excellent. Thank you to Angelos who looked after us. The grounds and pool areas are lovely with comfortable loungers all well spaced and good bar service. It is a bit of a mission trying to navigate around the huge resort complex on day one! The beach is also lovely although we spent most of our time by the pool. The best thing about the resort for me is the choice of restaurants although as you would expect, food and drink is expensive. We particularly enjoyed Nargile where we ate twice (thank you to the lovely Iyilia) and Flame at the clubhouse. The restaurant on the beach looked fantastic but we didn't eat there as they were only serving lunch. My husband really enjoyed the golf and my son had a wonderful climbing lesson with Kyriakos who was charming. They also have a great bike hire facility which we used with pre planned cycle routes to download and follow. We cycled to Voidokilias beach which was a big disappointment and extremely busy. It may be better out of season. All in all, Costa Navarino is definitely a five star resort and my husband and children would return in a heartbeat. I would also recommend The Romanos as the dedicated pool and breakfast restaurant are excellent. But for me it was lacking soul and I didn’t feel there was anything authentically Greek about it. Perhaps because the majority of guests are British but I just felt like I could have been anywhere. We hired a car and drove into Marathopoli (15 mins north) on a couple of evenings where we had two delicious meals by the sea at Panorama. The town is well worth a visit in the evenings as there’s a great atmosphere with lots of good tavernas to choose from.

Dear ThePlacesYoullGo3760, Thank you for taking the time to share your detailed feedback with us following your stay at Costa Navarino. We are pleased to hear that you and your family enjoyed many aspects of your visit. It is delightful to learn that you found the resort's architecture, landscaping, and facilities to be beautiful and well-maintained. We are glad that you received a warm welcome upon check-in and that the service throughout your stay met your expectations. We appreciate your kind words regarding our breakfast buffet arrangements and the quality of food served. We have been here for 5 nights in June. This resort is on the high end, but there are a couple of things that need improvement. Let's start with the upsides.
Personnel was great, they bend over backwards to please you. The chef in one of the restaurants even made us a special chocolate cake (because I asked for some chocolate desert, and it wasn't on the menu) and they offered it to us free of charge. Pretty good choice of dishes in the morning. The lounge on the 3rd floor was perfect for a quiet evening listening to sax and trumpet music, away from the hustle and bustle of the Agora, which has two great Greek restaurants, Souvlakerie and Kook. I cannot say anything about the other restaurants, because being in Greece, we ate Greek, or the pools, because being at the seaside we use the sea. The beach might have been ok, but we went to Voidokilia, Crissi Ammos and other natural beaches so we didn’t use their beach either.
Now, let's check the downsides for a change.
They called me the day before the check in and said they would like us to be there after 3PM, which was their normal check in time, because they have a lot of check outs. We got there at 3:40PM, and yet we had to wait for our room until 5PM. They did offer us complimentary drinks on one of the pool bars, but my main concern was that I was to receive a material to do for the European Parliament at 5PM, and I was running out of time.
The day before we left I found no parking spot on the smaller parking lot, so I tried to park the car in one of the spots in the parking outside the reception. This valet comes up to me and says I can't park there, because that parking lot is only for pickups and drop offs, and I have to move the car to the main parking lot, a few hundred meters away. I don't argue with rules but what about these 2 black SUVs that were parked in the first 2 spots closer to the reception entrance. They were already there when we got to the parking lot, and a few hours later 2 more cars showed up there. The cars were still there at 11PM, so this was no pickup/drop off job. Initially I thought they were vehicles belonging to the hotel, but I saw the plates and they were definitely private. One, The Range Rover, had Italian plates, the other, the BMW M6, Romanian. I just can't figure out the basis on which they discriminate. Would it be that only SUV or expensive car drivers can use that parking lot?
One other thing: On our last evening I got a call from the front office/reception and was asked if I needed help with my bags. I told the man that I already made arrangements at the reception for our bags to be picked up from our room and taken to the main parking lot where our car was, at noon the next day. Then he said that the usual check out is 11 (actually it's 12 and his colleague would have told me so if that was the case) and he would appreciate if we were ready by then. I know there were many check ins, and there was no need for a lie to get us out of the room earlier, but if we were checked in at 5PM, and if check out is 11, do they need 6 hours to clean the room?
These (small) issues seem weird, to say the least, for a Marriot outfit.

This year is special by all means, however it was great to see that under this circumstances the Romanos managed to offer an convincing and safe experience applying highest of hygiene standards.

Next to great facilities of the overall resort, like restaurants and bars which offer a plethora of tastes and styles to select from, the beach is what we came back for. Wide, spacious on one side and with much attentive personnel and great service on the other side.

Room service was just excellent ensuring all of our needs in a timely manner.

Looking forward to come back again to the Romanos.

Taxis are easy to get and the hotel offers shuttle services as well - I would not bother, this is a very well organized environment.

There isn’t really anyplace close to walk to outside of the result. There are plenty of excursions that can be booked either through the hotel or on the Marriott Bonvoy app.
