Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Always a warm welcome from Robert & an immaculate property. Lovely breakfast on the terrace each morning & so nice to be remembered even though it was 3 years between visits. Looking forward to a revisit in 2020

Please note that my previous review of this visit appeared under a different log in which I don't recognise! Le Moulin Neuf is a gem of a B&B. Set in wonderful grounds along a stream valley in which wildlife abounds, this is a haven of quiet and beauty, away from the crowds yet within easy access by car of all the key sites in the Dordogne. Host Robert is the paradigm B&B owner against whom we measure all others. Charming, friendly, helpful. Breakfasts are consistently lovely - freshly made, delicious fresh fruit salads, yoghurts, fresh bread, croissants and pains au chocolat, good coffee. Robert recommends local restaurants to suit all tastes and budgets and books your table for you each day This was our 4th visit after a five year break from France. It remains superb in every way and this year Robert welcomed our two dogs, who got on well with the resident dogs and seemed to enjoy Le Moulin Neuf almost as much as we did!

This has to be our find of the last few years. Great location, very comfortable accommodation, spotlessly clean, a superb and v helpful host, splendid setting and gardens. You must visit it, no hesitation!

Le Moulin Neuf is our all-time favourite destination in fifty years of travelling, we are now eagerly awaiting our eleventh visit. We take several holidays each year and for the last ten years or so we have managed to include the Moulin in our travels nearly every year, occasionally managing to stay twice. Thank you so much Robert.

Greetings John and lovely to read your review knowing that this year sadly civic duties prevent a visit - but next year The Moulin Neuf eagerly awaits you both.

We stayed here for three nights and it was so relaxing. The weather was poor, very rainy, but this did not dampen our enjoyment of this very peaceful and comfortable place. Our room was perfect, with a spacious ensuite, including a bath which was good to soak in given the foolish weather. Robert is a wonderful host, very helpfully taking care of our dinner reservations in local villages each evening. Would highly recommend this B&B for total rest and relaxation.

Room Tip: We had, I think, probably the best room. At top of stairs, to right, then immediately left.

Indeed the weather was foul but the ambience was warm and sunny! So glad you had a good time and thanks so much for going to the trouble of putting up a review. Enjoy the rest of your holiday, now with much better weather.

Four Stars - the host, the surroundings, the rooms and the breakfast! The English host, Robert, is charm personified and nothing is too much trouble for him. He's been looking after guests for 25 years and still is as enthusiastic as the day he started! The mill and the barn conversion guesthouse stand in acres of pastoral paradise - tree -shaded nooks, a tinkling stream, trout lake, river - with nothing but birdsong to punctuate the silence. The rooms are well decorated and ours was very comfortable. They vary in size - ours (room 4) is the biggest and enjoys a very pleasant aspect. There is an equally comfortable communal sitting room. Breakfast is par excellence. In the summer it is served on the patio and I can't think of a better way to start the day. What are you waiting for?

This is the most beautiful and idyllic location in which to relax and enjoy the superb hospitality of the hard working host. The grounds are most beautifully maintained and there are wonderful locations in the gardens in which to relax and enjoy the tranquility of the situation. Rooms are tastefully maintained and a delightful breakfast can usually be enjoyed outside on the terrace. You will not be disappointed.

I think this is the best B & B you will find in France Set in about 6 acres of secluded countryside, an old mill has been converted into a lovely B & B .The rooms are all colour co-ordinated with super on-suite Mine host Robert seems to have thought of everything a guest might need. Continental breakfast with everything you could possibly think of..Tea or coffee available 24/7 at no extra charge. Robert can advise on local places to visit plus local restaurants for your evening meal .Best recommendation is the guests that return again and again for peace and tranquillity.!!!

Nestled amongst tall trees in a peaceful, green valley. You'll feel far from the madding crowd, but in truth you're only a short drive to Limeuil or Paunat, both with excellent restaurants, and many sights and activities in the Dordogne. It's always a pleasure to chat with Robert, the owner, and he has some wonderful leads for places to eat and places to see. Check out market day in Le Bugue, get up early to get into the cave at Font de Gaume, and be sure to visit the rare frescos in the Chapelle St Christophe in nearby Montferrand-du-Périgord.

A picturesque B&B in peaceful surroundings with a good restaurant a few minutes walk away. Golden orioles can be heard in the garden at breakfast and dog friendly to boot. Large and airy rooms, tastefully decorated with a hairdryer for us ladies in the bathroom.
