I stayed here recently and was the only guest. The welcome was mediocre but the send off the following morning was far jollier. I had booked a single room and the room was ok with an en-suite. I'd guess that the bedroom part was no bigger than about 10 feet by 6... so rather monastic in there. Breakfast was ok...

Many thanks for taking the time to write such a favourable review. It's good to hear that our Sunday Carvery was "awesome" and that our Front of House staff were friendly. It's also good to hear that your Pint of Guinness was one of the best you've had. We look forward to welcoming you back to see us again soon....

Friend and I stayed here before golfing at Silloth on Solway Golf Club the next day. Our twin room was clean and well presented. The free Wifi in the room gave a strong signal. We ate an evening meal in the bar/restaurant downstairs. The real ale on offer was very flavoursome and enjoyable. The food was most acceptable. My haggis,...

Happened upon the Golf Hotel on a Sunday lunchtime, saw that the local Rotary Club meet there (always a good sign!), with no booking I didn't really expect to get in. We were welcomed with pleasure, seated at a window table that although it appeared clean, was wiped and set up for us. Order for food and drinks taken promptly...

My Husband and I were staying in Silloth for a few days and decided to try the Golf Hotel for a meal. We called in during the day to book a table and the staff remembered us when we went back that night. The food was amazing and the Sticky Toffee pudding was one of the best we've ever had....

Called for lunch today with my husband, we were pleasantly surprised with the nice fresh exterior. We were served promptly by cheerful staff. The Sunday carvery was well worth the money, the beef was so tender it tumbled to pieces and they are very generous with the amount of meat you get. There was a good selection of well cooked...

Was staying in the area and this was recommended in the literature at the holiday cottage. We all had a variety of starters such as prawn cocktail, haggis tartlet, soup and garlic mushrooms. All were nicely presented and tasted fine. We all had the carvery and that was OK the only thing that wasn't nice was the lumpy mashed potatoe....

We stayed at the Golf Hotel on the first night of our Hadrians Cycleway holiday. It was the most expensive place we stayed on our trip but there didn't seem to be much choice when it comes to family rooms in Silloth. We expected it to be run down based on previous trips to silloth but it was a lovely...

We hadn't been to the Golf Hotel for some time but the main dining room and bar was looking very smart. I was tempted to try the potted Solway shrimps which was really tasty. We ordered baguettes which came with homemade fries, it was beautifully presented and hit the spot. Only downside was that it is slightly pricey but was...
