Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

A retired couple, we have been visiting Stanwix Park for many years with our granddaughters, now aged 13 and 16 years. This year we had a platinum, 3 bedroom caravan, having had gold and diamond ones in the past. The advantages of the platinum are early access, 2pm as against 4pm, beds made up on arrival and Wi-Fi included, most important now the girls are both teenagers! The disadvantages, to us at least, were that the van seemed smaller than previous ones, with less seating area available in the lounge, the dining area was smaller with 2 bench seats as against individual chairs in the gold and diamond vans. The seating was rather hard and became uncomfortable when sitting for longer periods, but the beds were as comfortable as those in the other vans. It was sufficient (just) for the 4 of us, but larger families would struggle. In the previous vans, the living area was separated from the bedrooms with a door to the corridor, giving more privacy when using the toilet/shower etc. There was a noticeable lack of coat hooks, which we missed. We remembered to take a bath mat and kitchen scissors, both useful and not provided in any of the vans, but a can opener and vegetable peeler were provided this year! To be honest, the girls are getting too old for the evening entertainment, but still enjoyed the family bingo, though this has doubled in cost per ticket this year. The younger granddaughter enjoyed the soft archery and we enjoyed the animal display. We all enjoyed the ten pin bowling, booking 2 one hour sessions, still good value at £25 per hour for 4 of us. We went to the Lakeland Zoo near Keswick and to Keswick outdoor market, both enjoyable days out. As usual, we took our food with us and did one midweek shopping trip to the supermarket at Wigton. We did buy chips from the café on site to accompany 2 meals, tasty and good sized portions. The caravan and site facilities were clean and the staff remain friendly and helpful, thank you all at Stanwix for another great holiday!

we stayed in a 2 bed platinum caravan with early check in at 2pm, the caravan was spotless, heating very warm, good oven with most things needed to cook with. Brilliant location, only a 2 min walk to the main entertainment, kids park right by the caravan. The entertainment was really good for kids, all kids orientated. There was entertainment on for kids day and night, kept my 4 year old very busy. The bowling, arcades, cafe, bars are all reasonably priced. Only downside is the soft play isnt very big. We loved our stay and cant wait to come back again, my 4 year old didnt want to leave. Thanks stanwix 👍

We are regular visitors/guests of Stanwix Park holiday village. Exceptionally friendly staff who are all talented and go above and beyond to ensure everyone is entertained and has something to look forward to. Reception staff greet you with a smile. Shop on site is well stocked and reasonably priced items. This is for food and gift items. Park is well maintained and immaculate. Entertainment hall is bright spacious and has several seating levels for good view of stage. Entertainment team go above and beyond and there are daytime activities for anyone who wishes to partake. There’s a soft play area in the arcade and bowlingo area. Staff are friendly and patient with mischievous children. Swimming pool is perfect for families and change rooms have lockers and great showers. Sauna, gym and steam rooms are beside the pool. However, those facilities weren’t used by us on this visit. We enjoyed our stay so much we have already booked another break in June where we hope to use the outdoor pool. Only downside of the holiday was not seeing the longer term staff members Audrey and Graham who frequently entertained us over the years. We have been advised they are now retired. We all wish them both a very long healthy retirement. This doesn’t detract from the talented new staff who are full of fun.

Came for a mon-fri half term break with 2 adults, 2 children (9&11) and a dog! Stayed in a 3 bedroom gold plus static caravan. Caravan lovely and clean. Decent size and room for 2 cars to be parked. Bed linen provided. Site had brilliant amenities. Plenty to do for the children. They loved Nerf blast and the Pets corner. Evening entertainment wonderful and inclusive of families. We will definitely return!

Please do not visit this site. Don't waste your money the way me and my family was treated here was absolutely disgusting. My partner injured herself by putting her hand through glass due to illegal glass used on the chalet front doors that was loose the holiday gave us a voucher to use to book another holiday only to advise us a short time later they had actually cancelled the voucher even though this is Still currently valid and not expired. The chalet itself was very dirty and no space there was mould and damp and the reception staff was unhelpful I was promised I could speak to a manager on several occasions only to be palmed of and fobbed off over and over. Won't be going again I'd sooner camp in my back garden than go there

Had an absolute brilliant time over new year at Stanwix park. Been coming to Stanwix park for years and each visit gets better and better . Entertainment over the 3 nights there , was as always fantastic. Reception staff bar staff restaurant staff shop staff and actually all staff work really hard and are always very polite and friendly . Swimming leisure centre was great , I really enjoyed it. Well done to all at Stanwix park , a great start to 2024 only thing I don’t like is having to leave , but was great to leave at 2pm rather than the usual 10am departure .👍🎉 HAPPY NEW YEAR 😀🎉🥂

We stayed over for the the New Year and unfortunately our experience was marred by terrible customer service. We thought we lost our childs wrist band, and to get replacements the reception staff demanded £20.00 each, likely for something that cost mere pennies to make. (Thankfully we found it it would have been an outrageous rip off!). This incident on top of the staffs unfriendly and arrogant attitude did ruin our stay. They constantly pestered whenever we entered or exited the entertainment room checking for wristbands with an unfriendly and hostile tone. This was completely inappropriate, especially considering it wasn't an all-inclusive or 5-star resort! Being in a customer service role, one would expect friendliness and helpfulness. The staff even singled us out in front of other guests, asking our kids, who were ahead of us to show their wristbands. We had to go in the entertainment room and bring the kids back out to reception to prove they had them on! Needless to say we were FURIOUS! Checking our names on the system would have easily resolved the issue, but instead, they opted for a loud confrontation. It's a shame because we would have considered returning if not for the snooty and unprofessional staff. Get your act together!

Came in October half term and decided to book NY. Stanwix did not disappoint, the site is spotless, it was busy but there were more than enough staff. The entertainment staff make this place what it is. Brilliant entertainment for the adults and the kids! The NYE entertainment was fantastic, the family fun day kept the kids happy all day and the singers on the last night were probably my fav. Amazing! Will definitely be back in the Summer.

When to Country Music Weekend. Used site for motorhomes. Good parking spots with electric hook-up and water to each pitch. Very good toilet block that includes a bath if you require it. Very good chemical disposal facility all well lit and clean. Building where event held good for purpose, decent seating well spaced out. Drinks at bar a reasonable price. One downer is the food available which never looks up to much.
