We stayed at the end of July as a family for 6 nights, and can I just say? What an amazing hotel it was.

The hotel itself is absolutely immaculate, you always see the cleaners cleaning at least something all day. The rooms were immaculate, the beds were comfy and the aircon worked perfectly. The only downfall about the rooms were the sofa bed mattress was too hard for my nephew, and when asked about a normal mattress being added onto it, one receptionist told us they'd speak to maintenance but heard nothing after 1 day? So asked again the next day and immediately they said no we don't stock extra mattresses which fair enough if they don't. Towels were supposed to be changed every 2-3days but ours were changed every day with a nice cold big bottle of water left every day too.

The staff were brilliant from the chef, to the restaurant staff aswell as the bar staff,.nothing was too much trouble and they were so friendly and helpful. The entertainment staff were absolutely amazing, taking the kids to play football after 11pm, to encourage them to play water sports in the pool and join the kids entertainment at night time. Absolutely brilliant.
Unfortunately can't really say anything much about the reception staff except from my experience, some of them were quite rude and unhelpful in some circumstances.

The all inclusive was decent. Drinks went on until 11pm which after you had to pay, which is no bother as after 11 we was tired anyway. The food was nice, always something for everyone, just a shame they didn't have pizza.

The pool areas were spotless, the pools were brilliant, the main pool was alot warmer than the one near the snack bar, so you had a choice between warm and freezing pools haha. It was always cleaned every evening after the pools had closed, the staff were always hard at work making.sure the place was immaculate. The slides were brilliant, one broke for about 3 days but that didn't bother us in the slightest. The life guard was brilliant aswell, always chatting before you went down and having a laugh.

On the Friday night, our last night was a pool party which was on from 10pm until 11:20pm. It was absolutely brilliant, from water guns to balloons and fireworks to even the music was really loud which was amazing. Even the staff got involved by jumping in and pushing everyone in to us ganging up and pushing the staff in

All in all its absolutely amazing and all the staff should be proud of this hotel and what they do.
I would definitely return again in the near future.

Hotel is approximately 1.5hours transfer from Bodrum airport. Clean and hardworking staff. Food pretty good but as per normal a little repetitive. All inclusive which runs from 09:00 until 11:00 pm but you can still purchase after this time for about £1.50 a pint of beer. There are two pools and three slides and a small paddling pool. Not massive pools but clean and well maintained although very slippery around pools when wet as smooth tiles. Hairdressers, tattoo shop and massage/spa facilities onsite at extra cost. Rooms are cleaned/made daily and practical (we had family room) small fridge, tv, hairdryer and air con. Nighttime entertainment was good for three quarters of week not so couple of others as is daytime which one pool is louder than the other ( music all day long)
Opposite is a supermarket which is well equipped (similar to Aldi/Lidl), couple of others very near by but lower in standard.
Shower gel expensive but all other items we found cheap in price. Sports Bar across road which showed loads of football at once (7 games) and served food which was good in value (£5 for a pizza for example).
Taxis are cheap too, we traveled 15 minutes and was £5. Hotel is 10/15 minute walk to beach front which at night is really nice.
Topkapi restaurant at beach was excellent and owner very welcoming and used to live in England too (near us Swindon and also Cardiff).
Went on boat trip (booked through local bar as jet2 overpriced for identical trip!).
6 hour trip to five bays with lunch £10 each, absolute bargain and they picked us up from hotel! Boat was called Paradise.
Other trips local was quad biking, jeep safari and Apollo ruins.
There are water sports at beach too but didn’t do any. (Jet ski and parasailing etc)
Personally we should have done a week as there isn’t a lot else near to do but all in all a good base for a 3star hotel ( my opinion).

The staff are the best thing about this hotel, the cannot do enough for you and are very friendly. The chef walks round the restaraunt each meal time and speaks to guests, asking how things are and taking on board what is said. The food itself is nice, however there is not a huge selection, having said that we always found something. The snack bar is nice but this is the same menu each day. We were a group of 9 including kids and teens, the kids always found something and didn't complain. The hotel itself is nice, clean and comfortable, we did find that each evening the shower would run cold or go off completely, we guessed this was due to the amount of people using their showers around this time and reducing the pressure.
Pool area is clean and the kids enjoyed the slides. We spent ll our time around by the slides as we found the main pool very crowded and noisy, the only downside to this was we weren't aware when activities were taking place as noone came round to ask. We did mention this to Ozzy - who was brilliant- and after that there was entertainment staff coming round and inviting people from the quieter pool and announced over the speakers what was happening when. The evening entertainment was mostly dance acts and the music was played very loud, the kids liked to watch it but there's no way adults can speak to each other when its on because of how loud the music is. There was never an issue with loungers, there is plenty for all guests.
The hotel is only a short walk away from the shops and beach where there is so much to see and do. Funfair is also just down the street and very cheap for the kids to go on the rides.

Lovely friendly hotel with friendly staff!

Room: 1 bedroom, basic and dated but clean, cleaner was fab! shower was great, small balcony for 4 people, we paid extra for pool view & had a big palm tree in front (block C)
The sheet on the bed was more of a towel than a sheet.

Food: all great, plenty of choice and re stocked all the time!

Entertainment team we’re good, all friendly and not pushy at all
Hotel itself is a loud family hotel but all quiet at 11pm which again was great.

2 pools, quite small really, water slides in one which were ok, my only gripe was the Sun bed situation! People don’t reserve Sun beds, they put the towels on the floor before the Sun beds are even put out…I’ve never seen any like it (& unfortunately it’s the English that do it) the hotel needs to sort something out, when I’m on my holidays I don’t fancy setting my alarm to reserve a sun bed…hence the reason we went the beach.
If you do manage to get a bed your packed in like sardines so no way of getting in or out…

Fab location, Sandy quiet Beach is about 5 mins walk & another large Sandy beach & town with hundreds of shops and cafes are about 10 min walk.

Booked excursions in the sky bar opposite & had a great time & boat trip cost £10 per person, bargain!

We’ve just got back after spending two weeks here, we had an amazing time, the hotel is a little dated but don’t really spend to much time in the rooms, they is a games room with a couple of arcade games in, play station but they need tokens from reception which we found quite pricey.

The pools are quite small but they didn’t seem to get to busy especially the side with the slides were quieter, slides were only open 3 times a day. They was a pool party on Wednesday afternoons, which was a foam party, it is fun and the kids loved it but we they shouldn’t allow inflatables inside, it can get so dangerous even if your a strong swimmer. They was also a pool party on Saturday night 10pm-11pm. We always got a sun bed as we were late risers so wasn’t a need to get up early.

If you want to book any days out then book them through the sky bar across the road from the hotel, the staff are amazing in there and we booked a boat trip and aqua park day trip through them. Highly recommend the boat trip, £10 an adult £5 a child, lunch was included and it was an all day activity. Also their strawberry daiquiris are to die for!! Also they do lovely food if you want a change from the hotel food.

They is shops and a bakery across the road. Town is called dolphin square, loads of shops, beach, restaurants etc only 100lira in a taxi. Night market is a must too, 300lira in a taxi.

The entertainment team are what make this hotel good!! They don’t stop! Always doing activities, getting to know people. They are a credit to the place. Waiters, bar staff and restaurant staff are amazing too, always clean and quick to take plates away, never waited for a drink and always happy to help.

Reception staff…….. RUDE, considering they are front of house you would think they would have more people skills, they need a few lessons from the entertainment team, ask for any help or a question and it was like you was asking for the world.

They offer a shower room for your last day, our flight wasn’t till late so we still got chance to spend a day around the pool and then you can use the shower room but you only get 30 mins. A late check out was available but the cost £70 until 3pm or £90 till 6pm.

The photographer on site does some lovely family photos.

It was our first time taking our toddler and the first time in Altinkum. We arrived at around 3.30am due to Jet2 flight delay. We were really hungry but the staff made contact with the chef within the hotel and arranged for a pizza to be brought to our room. We had to pay for it but at that time, it was well worth it and we were able to pay by card for it.

The best thing about this hotel are the staff. Reception were nice and smiley but the restaurant staff were the nicest people we have met. A special thank you to the restaurant manager Hasan and the waiters including Ismail,Berkan, Furkan, Mehmet and Avni. Thank you so much for being so nice to my toddler and making our holiday so memorable. We took a picture together on the last day and they genuinely became our friends.

The pools were great, clean and more than adequate.

Food was nice, a bit repetitive but do-able. Usually rice, a stew, some fried meat, fresh salads and the outside snack area has varying dishes daily. Plenty of food throughout the day.

Salem the photographer was really nice and took some great pictures of us.

Location is good, 15 mins from the amusements and around the same to the beach. Hotel is on a hill so it's around 50 lira to get to the beach which is worth it.

The only negative we can say is that the rooms are dated and the bathroom was not the cleanest we used.

We had an issue with our family room having two AC units but one was really noisy. We endured it for 2 days, told reception who said they would get someone out but didn't. I ended up picking it up and moving it down the brackets myself which stopped the racket. Family room was a good size, just not the cleanest, cleaners could have done a better job.

We were genuinely upset to leave and will be returning again next year but for longer.

We’ve just arrived back from staying at Hotel Esra and we couldn’t have had a better time. The room was clean and big enough to accommodate us all (we are a big family of one adult and four children) without tripping over each other, the food was a very good standard - varied and cooked well and the entertainment team worked their socks off all day everyday to make sure everyone feels included, as did all of the staff. There’s nothing to find fault with in our eyes and we would love to stay at the hotel again. This has been our first 3 star hotel to stay in and we actually found it better than some of the 4/5 star hotels we’ve stayed in, in Spain.

This is a fabulous hotel with the best staff in it. Turkey is an amazing place to visit. The Turkish people are so warm and friendly. Special mentions here for some of the staff, everyone was amazing and helpful. Onur the bar manager is such a lovely person, goes out of his way to make your stay perfect. Ozzy on entertainment is such good fun, brilliant with the kids and adults alike. The restaurant staff were all great and nothing is too much trouble. A special mention for chef Ahmed, he made our stay an extra special experience. My wife is coeliac and he cooked her fresh meals most days and advised of which dishes she could have from the buffet ensuring she had first out of them so no cross contamination. This makes such a difference to our experience and a big Thankyou for that. We will be back in September so good.

First thing is to ignore the the negative comments. From arrival to leaving we had the most amazing time! It's as if they've gathered the best staff and placed them in this hotel, the entertainment staff are second to none such lovely people. Our room was cleaned every day with fresh towels and only had to ask if we needed anything and they was so helpful. I can go on and on about the food which is one of the best all inclusive restaurants I've been to always something different and plenty of it, kids loved the snack bar of pizza, burgers, hotdogs. Always sunbeds available and plenty of canopies if you want that shade, loads of pool activities and never felt pressured to join in if you just wanted to soak up the sun and watch. My little one loved the kids club painting his Minecraft t-shirt which he's not taken off since we got home. Don't take my word for it book it and see for yourself.

We arrived as a party on 9 people on the 30th of September. The rooms were Not too bad and we’re cleaned everyday, the hotel itself looks pretty standard for a 3 star.
FOOD
The first days breakfast was not great if you don’t like eggs or raw pancakes or stale bread. We then tried the snack bar at lunch and it was awful, cold food stale buns and the only choice you had was pizza burger hotdog or some pasta, not all the choices that were advertised. No toasters wraps or anything like that. Tea time for the first 3 3 Days was not too bad we could always find something to eat, they had food in the restaurant on a night time then food outside on the snack bar (the food in the restaurant was always cold and the food outside was lovely and hot with it being on hot plates) after the first 3 days they closed the outside part and the only food you had to choose from was in the restaurant which on a evening consisted of the same cold things. Chips, curry, rice, gravy, smash, stale bread, salad, spaghetti, a tomato sauce, a vegetarian dish and maybe some grilled meat or a whole fish. As the holiday when on the food choice got worse and worse
ENTERTAINMENT
the entertainment was pretty much non existent, maybe a game of darts through the day and nothing else. No dances or water sports. On an evening u had kids disco 9-9:30 the maybe a game of bingo after. 2 nights of the holiday we had a fire show that was 20 mins long and a couple of 20 minute dance shows. By 10 o’clock all entertainment was finished. I was there for 2 weeks and still couldn’t tell you who was entertainment team and who wasn’t. There was no interaction with anybody. Jet2 advertised this hotel as full entertainment all year, it didn’t specify limited in October otherwise I wouldn’t of chose this hotel
BAR/STAFF
The drink choice at the bar was pathetic for an all inclusive hotel, 2 choices of cocktails. Most days the draught pop wasn’t on so you would get a warm cup of flat coke that had been open on the bench all day. The only alcoholic drinks you had the choice of was vodka archers tia Maria amaretto or lager which tasted awful.
The staff at the bars were the most miserable people I have ever met, you never got a hello or a good morning or even a smile. The staff in the restaurant were lovely and efficient and spoke to you and smiled.

Overall this holiday was from hell, we ate out almost every meal and bought drinks from the shop. And most evening left the hotel at about 8pm due to no entertainment or atmosphere to enjoy. The bar over the road plays football till 12pm then puts music on after but that’s turned down by 12:30 and the other bars a taxi drive away aren’t too great either. Nobody expects to go to an all inclusive hotel and there to be no entertainment or have to eat out like being on a self-catering holiday
I had been to other parts of Turkey before and though I’d try a new area but it has made my mind up that I will never ever return to Turkey again after this horrific experience!
