Thank you to team hotel Erica for making our stay memorable. The concept of the hotel with all in one is very recommendable. the food are superb from day to day. The service was very personal and very friendly. Everyone knows everyone most likely even only after 3 days.
Peter, our Sommelier, is very knowledgeable on the wines from the region. Go find him and he will take care of you on your whole stay. Would also recommend to try the Bowtech massage. It really works on you!
the only thing I wished was offered is the winery tour around Bozen or Tramin area. It would be ideal for people who are wine lovers and don‘t want to drive after enjoying some wines. Other than that, it was a very memorable stay in Hotel Erica. Will definitely come back!

Extraordinary mixture of services, gastronomy, wellness, care, Italian style with a lot of local influence. Not far from the fantastic ski resort Obereggen (shuttle available, very helpful, thank you guys!!!!), the hotel provides an interesting system of 3/4 pension, from which dinner is state-of-the art! Breakfast not to be underestimated! Its not cheap at all, but it worth every penny!!

Our arrival in Nova Ponente was already a great experience. It’s a beautiful, quiet little village in the beautiful sud Tirol. The owners son gave us a very nice tour around the area.
When me and my cousin arrived at the hotel we enjoyed a very warm welcome. A nice pasta was prepared for us straight away. The owner of the hotel greeted us personally and we where shown to our room.
The room was very nice with a beautiful view from the balcony.
What made our visit truly exceptional is how we were treaties by the family that runs the hotel and tts employees.
Also, the facilities in the hotel were sublime! The spa and wellness area was beautiful and very relaxing. As we enjoyed warm weather on our visit, the pool was a very nice plus. And so was enjoying a great wine in the hot tub after a day of breath taking scenery in the area. Forever grateful for this experience and I can recommend it to anyone who wants to just relax and enjoy good food and wine, be active and enjoy nature or do both!

We are staying at the Hotel Erica for the first time on our South Tyrol summer tour and are very pleasantly surprised. The hotel is located on the main road in Deutschnofen, which means there is a bit of street noise, but this is kept to a minimum at night. The hotel welcomes us with great warmth, very friendly staff and a fantastic kitchen. There are more modern rooms and slightly dated rooms, which are very spacious and generously designed. The wellness area leaves nothing to be desired and is very modernly equipped - there is something for everyone here. Good starting point for the various hiking tours and perfect bus connections.
Conclusion: very nice hotel, very friendly staff, mega good kitchen, price/performance completely OK!
Thank you for the lovely stay.

In our usual summer tour of the South Tyrolean valleys, after Val di Pusteria and Val Gardena, this year my wife and I decided to discover Val D'Ega. Destination: Nova Ponente. Hotel Erica. 4 stars of the Vitalpina chain.
10 days, from 14 to 24 August: sufficient time for a balanced overall judgement.
The debut isn't the best. The hotel van arrives late to pick us up at the station and the driver, decidedly disheartening, warns us: "I don't speak Italian". We are in Italy, but perhaps he, over a century later, still hasn't come to terms with it.
Upon arrival at the reception, just enough courtesy and professionalism, but certainly no explanations on this or that activity. Even for the use of the free card to use public transport, the explanations are fragmentary and incomplete, we are not even told that it lasts 7 days and then we will have to ask for another one. There is a backpack that you can get for free from the accommodation company: they will tell us about it at the info point in the square and then we ask for it at reception and they will get it for us. Otherwise they hadn't told us anything.
In short, information torn out a bit with pincers. It will be like this for all ten days. A few more smiles wouldn't hurt. For excursions in the hall there are sheets to book, but you are not encouraged to do so much, nor are there any explanations on duration, complexity, etc.
We organize ourselves independently. There are beautiful walks from nearby Obereggen, the sanctuary of Pietralba, Lake Carezza, the beautiful and nearby walk to the small church of S. Elena, with an adjoining farm where you can eat divinely.
We arrive on Monday, therefore the day after the presentation aperitif of the owners and staff. In any case, we would expect the owners to introduce themselves and exchange some pleasantries. It won't be like that. Beyond some information given to us at the reception, we will exchange a few words of courtesy with the owner - who seems more attentive, perhaps due to a language issue, to German guests - only when he takes us back, with the van, to the Bolzano station, the last day. At least he speaks a little Italian.
We immediately discover that many of the services of a 4 star hotel are lacking. The room even lacks a pen and paper to take a note. I ask for a shoehorn at the reception and they tell me they don't have it.
Environmental sustainability is an excuse. The shoehorn could have been made of wood, the pen replaced by a pencil.
In the bathroom there is only one soap for shampoo and body. No toiletries.
Available to all customers, in a town where the only newsstand will be closed for the entire 10 days of our stay - in the hall there are, in addition to two German newspapers, a single copy of the Corriere della Sera and one of the Gazzetta dello Sport .
The room (in the photo, a Dolomite Suite, 360 euros per day, 3/4 board) and its bathroom fully correspond to the photos viewed when booking. The room is large and well exposed. But here too there is much to improve. The sofa and armchair are made of fabric and the second one (see photo) has a huge stain, unhygienic and unwatchable. After all, the hotel also hosts large dogs and many children, so it is easy for the furnishings to get ruined. But they should be washed or changed. We immediately report it to the reception so that they don't believe it was us. Let's imagine they replace it or clean it. None of this: the lady in charge of cleaning - who is also attentive and helpful - suggests that we use a hand towel. We follow the advice, but it is really not very decorous.
Even the armchairs on the balcony are old, stained and with tight wooden armrests (see photo). Who knows why they didn't put tables outside on the balcony. I imagine it's to encourage you to go and sit in the hall or in the garden so you can eat at the bar.
The biggest limitation of the room, however, is that the blackout curtains, even well closed, let light through. They are short and not dark enough. So at six in the morning everyone gets out of bed.
As for the dining room, we arrive at the hotel on August 14th and they place us at a small table in the center of an internal room. It's true: it's mid-August and the hotel is full. But we are very surprised: in previous experiences in Alto Adige the location in the room depended - as it should be - on the type of room booked and the length of the stay. Here it seems to be first come first served.
We ask for a better location at a corner table, near a window, in a more beautiful room. And we were satisfied two days later.
But we hurt ourselves. The new room, in fact, is one of those whose glass window does not open. There is no air conditioning: for the remaining 8 days, at dinner, you will be dripping sweat.
Coming to the catering, it must be said that the breakfast and the 3.30 pm snack are excellent in terms of quality and offer.
The service in the room was excellent, with a particular mention for the excellent maitre Peter and for the very young and attentive Davide and Iacob, trainees from the hotel institute of Merano. The remaining staff are normally courteous and professional. On the contrary, the lady in charge of eggs at breakfast borders on rudeness.
Dinner is smoke and mirrors for those who don't know gourmet cuisine.
The menu is very repetitive, the combinations are not always successful, there is often a lack of salt and inadequate cooking. The indicated theme evenings are missing.
It may be a matter of taste, but we almost never liked it.
Luckily there was a large and varied cheese buffet and the fruit and ice cream to support it.
We never complain about it. Only once did we send back tortelloni served practically raw (in the photo). They change them for us, but the chef - who must be touchy - tells us that they are like this because it is fresh pasta. In reality it is fresh pasta whose sheet was rolled out too double and for which the correct cooking times were not followed. But in any case it is not elegant to respond to a customer's complaint, even if it is well founded. It's a question of style.
Waiting times extend enormously when there is a 7pm aperitif. but it is not the fault of the dining room staff, but of the kitchen which does not seem capable of absorbing a clientele that inevitably concentrates in one hour rather than two .
The wine list is well stocked. But the prices are really high for the type of structure. More than in Selva di Valgardena, where we were last year. There is practically no price tag below 30-32 euros. The markup seems really excessive.
One evening we order a wine that costs 28 (on the card it reads, in German, "Hausmarke Vernatsch"). It is served to us in a closed bottle, but, incredibly, without a label. "It's a sort of house wine" the excellent maitre justifies. The wine is undrinkable. It was promptly changed. Good thing Peter's here.
The issue of water, which we read about in many reviews, deserves a separate discussion.
Sell for 4.50 euros a 70 cl bottle of the same fountain water that you can easily drink from the tap in your room, even if it is filtered with the best systems (but in Alto Adige the water is excellent everywhere even without filter it) is a legitimate market choice, also common to other structures in the area. Anyone who comes here - I was one too - is helped to know this by the reviews of those who preceded them. What is unacceptable is that there is no alternative. If I don't want that water I have to be able to order a Pejo or a Ferrarelle, paying even more for it. But I can't be forced to drink the water from the fountain.
The environmental sustainability argument doesn't hold water. There are excellent waters in the area sold in bottles.
The sauna area and the adjoining relaxation area are large and beautiful. The swimming pool is not very large, with an outdoor exit.
The problem with these services, however, is the lack of dedicated staff.
With the result that, in defiance of the exposed regulation, you see people in costumes in the saunas and people talking on the phone in the relaxation area. And that the swimming pool is practically only usable in the morning, when families are out for excursions, while in the afternoon it is the prerogative of screaming children who dive and splash water undisturbed.
Finally, a few words about Nova Ponente.
I certainly didn't expect to find Cortina or Selva di Valgardena, but not even a town where you couldn't buy a newspaper or a souvenir and where in the evening, after 9pm, you can't even find a bar open where you can have a coffee.
Therefore, unlike other valleys, there is no possibility of taking a walk after dinner. But not even to do any kind of shopping.
In conclusion. I would recommend the hotel to families with more than one child and perhaps even with dogs, interested exclusively in beautiful walks and excursions in the mountains that are not too subtle compared to a series of services that you should get from a four-star hotel in Italy wait for

For some time now I have been in the habit of reading reviews to guide my choice of hotel in which to spend a few days of relaxation and I must admit that, this time too, it turned out to be a winning practice.
Erica - Wellness & Vitalhotel fully meets the expectations of the stars it boasts: cleanliness of the rooms, kindness and helpfulness of all the staff, internal garage, wonderful spa. The wellness area is precisely the strong point of the structure: massaging water beds, panoramic sauna, hammocks, the one-of-a-kind snow room, the discretion of the blue lights in the shower area, pillows and soft blankets everywhere, water pools always very hot, clean bathrooms. My room was a gem: entirely upholstered in real, fragrant wood, designed down to the smallest detail to enhance every corner, equipped with all the comforts... one of them all? The TOPPER!!! Nooo, when I saw it I felt over the moon, excited to the point of placing this hotel in my memory at the top of the ranking of a hypothetical episode of 4HOTEL!!! Congratulations to the owners for the choice of staff and for the functionality of the entire hotel, very good 👏🏼
The only advice I feel like giving, which I also noted on the evaluation sheet at the end of the stay and which I share with someone who reviewed before me, are to also include water in the offer (at the moment it is paid for by everyone meals) and to guarantee the shuttle service at the times indicated, but without the obligation to book because running at breakfast or wanting to return early from the slopes should not make the guest feel conditioned.
For the rest nothing to complain about.

Very well maintained hotel with a high quality/price ratio. Excellent sunny position with beautiful view from the room, after all the town of Nova Ponente is in a splendid position.
Comfortable and clean room.
Excellent catering from breakfast to snacks and ending with dinner, very carefully prepared and with top quality materials. My celiac wife also enjoyed it very much and had the menu with very few differences from the others.
A particularly positive note for the SPA, truly beautiful, relaxing environments with attention to detail.
Owners and staff very welcoming, friendly and helpful, this is not the case everywhere, congratulations!

What to add besides the 5 stars and the title? Perhaps that the cuisine is amazing, that the services are attentive, that we were eagerly awaiting the 3.30 pm buffet, as well as the dinner and the fantastic breakfast offered. That the SPA has everything and more and those who comment negatively honestly can't imagine what they expected. Value for money well beyond expectations. The only negative point if I really have to look for it is that it is 3 hours from my house.

We have just returned from an, unfortunately, short holiday at the Erica Hotel. We had a great time, courtesy and kindness were never lacking. The structure is beautiful, even if our room was not brand new, the spa and all the wellness facilities are remarkable. The staff always smiling and helpful.
A special applause to the chef!!

We spent a fantastic week... the hotel is very beautiful, surrounded by greenery... We didn't find anything that was wrong: Serious, professional and friendly staff... large and clean rooms... food and dishes prepared with care also for children... a hotel that leaves nothing to chance but everything is taken care of down to the smallest detail.
