Be careful when you book rooms without a front sea view. Our room overlooked the car park, which was at ground level so literally anyone walking across could see directly into our room. It was permanently dark, and you couldn't open the shutters. If you had claustrophobic tendencies it would be awful. We tried to get moved but nothing available until the weekend and that would have been for 1 night at an extra cost of £150. I have complained back to the travel company saying they are misselling as no mention of some rooms will have very restricted views (aka or none at all). They maintain it is correctly sold and this is a year later no change to the description. More unsuspecting people will have the amazing view we enjoyed- see below The private beach is not free, you have to pay, last year around £35 for 2 sunbeds. It is cramped and there is no space to freely sit additionally it idifficult to get in and out of the sea - be warned you won't come out looking like someone off Baywatch. There is a pebble shelf - obviously nothing can help that but maybe a heads up - defo not suitable for less abled. The evening meal was awful, so much so we ended up going out each night. Breakfast OK, cold green beans on the menu. The location is lovely and yes you get a view of the sea/bay if you sit on the communal balcony at the front. Sicily love it, hotel nope. Travelled 2023.

First room was very cramped. After a water leak from the rear of the toilet on our third day we were moved to a slightly larger one. Breakfast had a large range but not great. Common areas have heard see though plastic seats, which aren't very comfortable for relaxing. Handy spot for the beach, but sun lounger hire ridiculously expensive and though we parked on the street most days the car park charge of €10 a day is also excessive.

Good views if you have a room at the front of the hotel. The room we had (503) was at the side of the hotel, we could see the sea and the room was on the top floor, so we were near the sunbeds on the shared balcony which overlooked the cable cars. The hotel could do with a good refurbishment as the decor was dated. The curtain rail came out if its holder if you pulled to strong. The facilities in the room were just basic, small t.v., poor curtains and rail, bed firm and a small shower. On the plus side, it was clean, towels were changed frequently, friendly staff, choice of food at breakfast albeit the same every day. It's near to the cale car to go up to the town. near to Isla Bella and near to the beaches where they charge a ridiculous amount for sunbeds! The buses stop nearby if you want to go to another resort (2.70 euros to Naxos).

Be warned !!! The pictures of this hotel don’t show you everything. We booked thinking this was heaven. But sorry to say it wasn’t. The room had a really poor view of a brick wall. Only the bed to sit on. Broken wardrobes and mega dirty shower. The water was warm not hot. And the toilet holder was broken !!! As for breakfast. Not much choice. Bacon was cold hot dogs cold , very limited choice. Mostly cake and cooked meats !! Remember access to the beach is down hundreds of steps and the way to town is via the cable car and £10 per person up and down ! Do your research !!! I guess I was unlucky at this hotel.

This hotel was elevated but a lift was provided for access. Very comfortable bed and spotlessly clean with a daily change of towels and bed linen. Although we were situated at the side of the hotel, the view from the window was marvellous. Breakfast choices were repeated on a daily basis, staff were very pleasant. Dinner menus were varied with some delicious pasta dishes and sweets but vegetable choices were not to our taste (served cold with main course). The waiter at dinner was a very friendly young man. He worked alone and should be congratulated for the speed at which he served everyone. Top marks to him. The reception staff were very efficient and helpful, especially with our efforts to speak Italian. There is a small beach below the main road and several small supermarkets. Good if you enjoy walking and don't mind the hills.

Reception staff were very helpful, especially when we made to effort to speak Italian. The room was adequate with a very comfortable bed and pillows. The bathroom was spotlessly clean with a change of towels on a daily basis. Although our room was situated at the side of the hotel, we still had a lovely view of the beach area. As we like Italian food, we enjoyed most of it but some was not to our taste, ie. cold vegetables. Our waiter was a pleasant and friendly young man. The views from the balcony of the hotel are magnificent as it is quite elevated but does have a lift to the main road. We would recommend this establishment to someone perhaps a little younger than ourselves ( in our 70's) as we found it to be a little too hilly, in particular in the village of Taormina (reached by cable car) where the roads are steep and very busy . Finally, would say that it is well worth a visit.

We didn’t pay for seaview room so was allocated one at side overlooking carpark to cablecar, room 407, it wasn’t the best room ever had but you get what you pay for, bed was comfortable and cleaned every day together with fresh towels every day. Breakfast was plentiful, scrambled egg, bacon, cheese and meats, croissants and filled croissants with cream, fresh fruit, juice, cakes and pastries, if there is nothing there to suit you must be hard to please. Sun terrace on 5th floor only had 2 sunbeds and it could be made much better, terrace overlooking bay was ok, honesty sheet for drinks from fridge during day but we only used it a couple of times as next door to the hotel was a lovely little bar for drinks and snacks open till 8.30 in evening. Beach area in front of hotel had sunbeds owned by a hotel and restaurant at 50 euros! Small public area but not much space. Next to cable car up to Taormina 6euros each way, up and down 10 euros each, day ticket 20 euros each, expensive for 2 of you if you wish to eat up in town everyday. One or two restaurants by the hotel but lots of lovely ones in town. We found a lovely one actually in carpark of cablecar, La Marina, we could see it from our room, food fantastic and for Sicily reasonably priced, if you don’t mind overlooking car park whilst you eat, other option would be to eat inside! All in all we had a good holiday but would suggest a hotel with swimming pool if you want more as we felt that this hotel is more a citybreak hotel than for a longer term stay as there was nothing to do if you just wanted to relax instead of being out and about all day.

Looking forward to a weekend away, then probably best avoid this hotel. The highlight of the hotel is the view and location, very close to the cable car to the nice area of the town. Beaches are nice with amazing views, but at the end of the day you have to return to the box room. The website photos only show the nice rooms at the front of the hotel and the beaches they overlook, what it doesn't show you is the naughty corner at the back of the hotel, the dreaded room 310.... As you can see from the photos you have an amazing view of the fire escape, once you have found your way to the secluded corner of the room to open and peer out of the windows. Also you should notice the TV in the room, it's the black box next to the wardrobe, blink and you will miss it. Breakfast might as well be first come first serve, eggs were cold and the bacon was no existence but the staff were very freindly. All being said the views are amazing and makes you want to get out of the box room and explore the amazing town and landscape. Rooms 1 Very outdated room, screen on an airplane felt bigger than the TV. WiFi is touch and go. Very small space and no natural light. Bathroom has no lock, shower is tiny and trickles out. If you want to run a bath best start it in the morning ready for lunchtime. Food and drinks 2 Only had breakfast and was cold all 3 mornings of our stay, best get up and book an early slot otherwise you are picking up the scraps after the first 2 Services. Drinks are nice but feels awkward having to walk to reception to have to pay for them. Hotel view 5 Great view from the reception area or on the top floor.

Where do I start. Greeted by reception staff and told where our room was. Pictures online were amazing for a standard room. Walked down a very old unsatisfying corridor to room 310 on the 3rd floor after getting out of u very small oldfashioned lift. As soon as we walked into the room I could of walked back out and cried. It was like a prison. The windows weren't even useful as so small and had a view of some steps so no natural light came in. The light in the room and all furnishing where very old fashioned. We had twin beds which were annoying as I went with my husband so both had single sheets. The shower well don't expect to wash that well. I think more water came out of wy water bottle. The beds were like rocks so don't expect a good night's sleep either. Other items within the room were shicking. Alarm clock at the wrong time, no kettle etc. Breakfast was included in the price, well u can't call it breakfast as u have to book 1 or 3 time slots with no more than 10 people. What a joke. Breakfast was cold and tasteless, fruits were warm and if u wanted toast it would take 10 minutes to cook. Evening there is no entertainment and if u want a drink u will be lucky as u cant even sit on the balcony as its reserved for the resturant guests to eat. And if u do get served you have to pay at reception, thats time consuming. That really got me annoyed as we paid to have a cocktail but had to sit where it started to rain. Complet utter??#** We felt like criminals. Our days out were fantastic around the area and loved the culture, we only returned to hotel to try and sleep and that was very trying. Saw many people complain about there stay and they just get fobbed off with no room change etc. I definitely don't recommend this hotel unless your up for having a prison experience.

We read some of the reviews on the hotel before going, and did what we always do......make our own mind up.... On arriving at our room and opening the door onto the balcony.....wow...wow. We were in room 204. We could sit up in bed and see the magnificent view across the bay and sit on our balcony to relax with this fabulous view.We caught two magnificent sunrises sitting on the balcony. For those that have moaned about facing the car park.....we paid extra fir the sea view....Worth every penny.... The room was cleaned every day and fresh towels daily. All staff were very friendly. The staff waiting on the tables and at reception spoke very good English, certainly put our spoken Italian to shame...All were very helpful. The breakfasts..wow..absolutely lots of choice. The croissants were very fresh. Our evening meals we thoroughly enjoyed. We ate on the Terrace with a wonderful view across the bay. There were varied meals every evening.Lots of fish,as a previous reviwer said...the fish is local...very tast a d well presented. If you are someone who likes a hot drink in the room, we took our own travel kettle at we knew there wasn't one provided. The fridge in the room is a good enough size to hold a bottle of wine in.( anything we didn't have at the hotel,we didn't expect we hadn't paid an extortionate amount for this holiday) There are mini markets next door to the hotel.Which sell most things. We brought a beach umbrella for 8 euros and left it for others to use instead of paying a hefty amount to hire a beach umbrella and sun lounger. The walk to Toramina is 30 minutes via a lot of steps. It is manageable but much easier coming down. We liked Naxos beach best as there isn't sea weed in the sea there,it isn't slippy underfoot.Buses are pretty regular. We did a trip to Mount Etna and were fortunate it was a lovely clear day. You will need a warm jumper and walking shoes/ trainers. Castlemorton, village on a hillside, need bus from Toromina.Views excellent.Bus hourly to get there. Would suggest having a reasonable amount t of Euros with you,the shops and buses want cash not card. We very much enjoyed our time in Sicily.
