Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Having stayed for a week we were utterly disappointed with the service. Firstly we travelled with our 8 month old baby and no cot was available on arrival until 11.30pm at night- 4 hours after check in! On our second night the bbq was appalling- cold corn on the cob, jacket potatoes and poorly cooked meat. The MOST DISAPPOINTING was the meal at Cerula, which claims to be fine dining. I ordered a Lobster which was at a supplement of 40 Barbados dollars ($20 USD). What I actually received was a lobster tail. When my waiter came to clear the food and enquired about our experience, I made it clear that a lobster tail was not what had been suggested by the menu and that whilst tasty it was extremely small - he agreed! When I was accosted to sign the bill for the $20 USD supplement in the all inclusive resort and questioned it I was told the manager would be out promptly. 15 minutes later they appeared with 2 other members of staff to enquire as to the issue. I explained the situation and was told that because I thought the quality of what I tasted was good m the fact it was extremely small was of no consequence. They offered to allow me to speak to another, more senior manager but ultimately at that point I agreed to pay the &20 USD as in the grand scheme of a $12000 holiday for myself and 4 family members it did not seem significant. Needless to say I will not be returning and would certainly not recommend to any family or friends. Stay clear at all costs,

This hotel has the potential to be a good place to stay, there has been plenty of investment and the facilities are good but the management are sleeping. Lack of maintenance, and very poor response to problems, food quality is limited.

Excellent beach, good food and amazing staff. Shout out to Joel and Lewis for great company and lovely banana food on the beach. Thank you to our wonderful wedding coordinators Debbie and Estelan for making our day so special. Would recommend this hotel, we had a large group of family and friends stay for our wedding. Was made extra special by the warmth and friendliness of the staff.

Nice vacation, could easily go up to 4 or 5 stars. Rooms: nicely equipped, ocean front rooms are true ocean front with beautiful views. We stayed in Mahogany building—it really needs a service elevator. Beach: spectacular. It’s great having a pool near the beach. Guests can easily use both. Restaurants: Cerulean is very nice. Mahagony is the Buffett for each meal. Decent selection, big downside are the flies in the food room. Resort needs to fix this somehow. Spray chemicals or something. Staff: some are outstanding, many give the impression that we are bothering them. A few noteworthy staff: Deniko Lowe in guest services is a true gem. Helpful, personable, and fun. Dario in aqua sports. Always smiling and happy to help with the included water sports activities. Raheem Clarke— truly understands service, and very hard working. We used the complimentary shuttle into town for the fish fry. The fish is outstanding, but be ready for a crowded chaotic scene. It was worth it, memorable experience.

The hotels location is convenient to access bus transport to Bridgetown, and Oistins. The beach is approx 200 yards long with soft white sand. Nice choice of restaurants on site. Staff are very helpful.

Would be happy to recommend the Sea Breeze and very much hope to return. The hotel is spread along the beach, with three separate swimming pools, and several bars and restaurants. The staff were friendly and helpful.

It started off with a lot of wind and a bit of rain the day we arrived. Our first night we went straight to sleep in the most comfortable bed ever and slept till the sun woke us up at 6am. The wind was howling and the waves were crashing so we went out to explore. We were met with 27C and bright sunshine from the moment we stepped out of our room. The ocean was warm and very enjoyable and we had lots of fun riding the boogy boards they supplied. The beach was very clean and the sand was very fine. The wind never let up for the time we were there which helped offset the daily 30C temperatures. The food was very good and the drinks nice and strong. Definitely worth staying at Sea Breeze in my opinion. Would definitely go back as the staff were very friendly and made for an enjoyable stay.

Fantastic stay!!. Lovely weekend!! The room was extremely comfortable with views of the pool and beach. It was my birthday and some extras were also included in the room. The staff were extremely friendly and professional and always helpful, with special mention to the front desk staff. The standard of everything is excellent, and the food and the drinks were on point, It didn't disappoint Will highly recommend it to friends and looking forward to being back very soon.

Due to all of the recent reviews and the fact that we were also considering whether to go or not this is quite a long review but very honest in order to help travellers and the hotel ! We arrived late on the 9th November and Peggy arranged transport for us - driver greeted us at the airport and got us to the hotel swiftly. Greeted with a lovely drink and lovely smiles ! Filled in a form, sorted some deposit / tax payments and were then taken to the room in the new mahogony block. 2nd floor so easy access from all parts. The hotel had kindly made a reservation for us that evening and although we were tired we went for dinner and it was really nice. Woke up the next day to have a proper look out of the room and we didn't realise but we had the gazebo right in front of us blocking about 1/3 of the sea view. Decided it shouldn't be an issue as we weren't planning on being in the room long anyway - I'm sure if I asked the hotel they would have looked at alternative rooms. Actually turned out well as when they had some entertainment on it would be there so almost like having a private show :-) Had a quick look around and then went for breakfast. The resort is not very big at all which we personally love. Breakfast is in the Mahogony restaurant and after being seated we went into the buffet area. It is a really small area and very hot - you can be queuing for an egg ( egg girls are brilliant ) with people trying to access the food next to you at the same time. Not sure how this can be improved other than making the bigger area or moving non hot food out of there to where the juices are maybe ?? Yes there were flies and birds flying around but personally I just take that as being life on an island and with all the open doors - how do you stop that ?? Beach area was absolutely lovely - exactly what you pay your money for ! Stay left of the rope on the beach in front of the beach towel guys - saw a fair few get hit by waves and thrown on to the rocks ! I personlly thought the sunbeds were fine, they get a lot of use so not sure what people are expecting and once your towel is on the cushion there are really no issues. We were in the new block so got fresh grey beach towels everyday - left by the maid. Staff from the Flying Fish snack bar would do the rounds all day keeping you in drinks ( I rarely used them as I have legs and like to use them ... ) but still had a good laugh with Chesterfield, Damien and my Barbados wife Chrissy. Alternating bar staff there and were all fab - special mention to Marci - what a lovely lady ! One thing to note - this is Barbados, everything is at a slower pace - I even felt after a few days I would be walking slower and more accepting in just chilling and you get what you want when it comes ! Actually meant our 2 weeks felt more like a month - in a very good way ! Went to the two pools by the flying fish snack bar a few times but not the adult pool as we weren't allowed with our little lad. They did get a bit grimy later in the day but I'm not surprised when they get busy - suspect swimming in the sea is far worse ha ha We had lunch most days at the snack bar as it was undercover and easy to just chill and wait for your food to come out ( you can also go Mahogony for a buffet OR order from the same snack bar menu ). Laura who worked there was brilliant ( in other retsaurants too ) as was David - he's a funny guy. They all made time to talk to us and my little boy which is really appreciated. Cassandra and Cuthsbert were other bar staff who need a special mention - lovely engaging people who you can have a great conversation with. Some bar staff, waiting staff, no matter how hard i tried didn't want to really converse - could just be their personality, don't think they were grumpy - just doing a job. Evening meals were a bit hit n miss. The Aqua Tera rstaurant was closed the first week for refurb work so we had Cerulian or Mahogony for choice. Some meals were lovely, some were average. Second week the Aqua Tera opened which meant more choice and we ate well the second week including the beach BBQ and Tipsy Tuesday which we missed first week due to weather. For the restaurants you have to book ( evening meals ) but you can do 2 days in advance so not really an issue personally. One big issue I have is with the kids choices on the menu. They could only have burger & chips, hot dog, chicken nuggets and chips, steamed veg, pasta and pizza. I'm sure for most that is fine but our lad likes what I deem normal non processed food so was a challange sometimes. I didn't ask if they could make him anything though - maybe I should have in hindsight. Speaking of kids - there really isn't much for them to do ! The beach towel / watersport guys really helped, letting us borrow various sporty things, bucket & spades etc but there are only so many things you can do to entertain the littles ones - luckily he loved the beach and the sea. We had a great trip out to Oistins ( free shuttle bus by hotel ), as well as Harrisons cave - all organised by the brilliant Peggy and her team. One note - if you book the caves, the email you get confirming your time is the time at the caves - you will be picked up way before that so keep checking your email. Entertainment at night was OK, hard to judge when we had a little lad who was in bed for 9. We managed to get a late checkout - really appreciated when we weren't being picked up until 7.30pm. There was a mix up as our lift didn't turn up but reception quickly realised the mistake and paid for our taxi - turned out to be a great move as we got to the airport and there was literally no travellers at check in or security so we sailed through. All in all a great holiday for us personally. We did meet others who had great times, plus some who had some issues. I think some of it is down to expectations and others just bad luck. One thing I will say is that the staff who try and get your food / drinks etc have a really tough time from some visitors from other countries ( not UK ) - shouting, whistling etc - this doesn't help them as it just adds to confusion with orders ( as well as being down right rude !! ). If I had advice for the hotel it would be do get more things for kids ( food, entertainment etc ) and more importantly work on the internal communication between staff as I think that would be a huge help in getting you where you want to be as a hotel ! There is a new Manager and I could see in the second week staff were on the ball more so can only be a good thing. All in all a good hotel for us, perfect beach, great holiday and came back super chilled so personally all I could ask for !
