This is a growing (family) hotel on a good location near the beach. We had a room with a private terrace in a building separate from the main building where the reception was. I think it is a fairly recent extension because everything looked new. From our terrace we had a nice view of the sea and the garden where fruit trees are growing. The room itself was spacious with good A/C, wifi and a big bed with comfy mattress. Staff at reception was super friendly and by mentioning Georgina's name with the selfdrive boat company we got a 15% discount which was, of course, much appreciated. In short: you can't go wrong with this one!

Our second visit this year (greedy, I know). This truly is our relaxing place, somewhere to get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. It was our first time staying in the new garden block. The room was beautiful and the view from our patio was stunning, lovely gardens and deep blue sea. The room was tastefully decorated, spacious and luxurious. We hired a car and visited many interesting places around the Paphos region and went into the magnificent pine mountains. The food in the hotel was delicious, there is always fresh fruit of the season and local produce. We have never visited in October, the Guava was so tasty (I think I had some every day!) and pomegranates straight from the tree were huge and succulent. The evening buffet had plenty of choice and catered for all diets. I was very pleased to see that so many of the lovely cats around the hotel grounds have been neutered. This is something that Gregoria and Polis animal rescue have worked hard for. There is a donations tin on the hotel reception desk to help with this very necessary task. The hotel has a relaxed atmosphere at all times. I was surprised to see it busy at this time of year, there were several small groups and one evening we all enjoyed a music night put on by one of these groups. Whenever we visit there is always something new to experience and enjoy. I love this place!

This small(ish) family run hotel is a gem. Being the last hotel on the road before this disappears into tracks, it's peaceful and quiet. The owners and staff are very pleasant and helpful, and nothing seems too much trouble for them. The place is spotlessly clean and the food is great, in quality, quantity and range. We had a "superior" room which was spacious and comfortable, with fully insect-proof French doors opening on to a small patio. It boasted not only aircon but also a large ceiling fan capable of delivering the down draught of a Chinook. Looking at others' comments, yes, there are quite a few cats; if you really, really hate cats then maybe this (like a lot of Mediterranean venues) won't be quite your cup of tea. But the hotel supports a veterinary outreach programme which neuters the local feral cats and looks after them, so ones you see are healthy and friendly, and a far cry from the scrawny, diseased thieves you may have encountered elsewhere. We had a wonderfully relaxing time there, with the beach just yards away. The only thing seriously wrong with the week was that it wasn't a fortnight.

I simply had to leave this "hotel" 1 hour after I checked in. The room was barely acceptable as a motel room or truck stop, horrible depressing decor, 1 tiny window that had to have a closed blind as it looked directly on to a stairwell. The air conditioning did not work in 40 degree heat, even after following instructions and waiting an hour for it to kick in. The "balcony" had faded furniture suitable for a trailer park, the glass barrier had multiple cracks in it. Wifi was patchy and barely worked in the room which didnt help when I was frantically searching for anywhere else to stay at within a 20km radius. The female owner behaved in a similar manner to Basil Fawlty when I raised my concerns. Some of her comments include "you obviously have other things going on", "I can show you 200 positive reviews", "if you want to pay your money for nothing then that's up to you". She refused to listen to anything I was saying, including when she insisted I showed her online photos to justify how it didnt look like my room. Response: "that's a different category and all that's missing is a blanket". Reality: completely different room, view and size. When I explained I was dripping in sweat due to the broken air conditioning, she said "it's hot everywhere, it's summer". The male owner looked ashamed and embarassed at her behaviour. He seemed like he wanted to help but was steamrolled by this woman whose actions and behaviour resembled Agatha Trunchbull. He was lovely when I checked in. Perhaps he can give her some lessons on customer service and human decency. When I read this in the description, I burst out laughing: "We offer our guests pure Traditional Cyprus Hospitality at its best. Service is offered with a smile from Gregoria and her team." Nothing could be further from the truth unless traditional Cyprus hospitality is hostile, aggressive and smug. She charged me the full 3 nights even though the cancellation policy on my booking stated 50%. If the above is not enough, this property resembles a poorly run motel from the 1970s, animals roaming everywhere searching for lost hope. There are not many options in this area which is probably why they are charging their extortionate rates and getting away with it. Stay ANYWHERE ELSE, don't be fooled by the strange positive reviews and read through carefully. Cyprus is beautiful but this place is a stain.

I’m not sure how many reviews I have written for this lovely hotel but we have been visiting for several years now and are never disappointed. As I sat in the sunshine on the terrace, overlooking the bright blue sea, I was thinking why exactly I long to come back each time I leave. The phrase “peaceful acceptance” came to mind. The hotel is a super retreat from the stresses of everyday life. People from many countries and all walks of life visit this hotel and yet everyone seems to be in harmony. We are there to chill out, walk in the beautiful countryside enjoy delicious fresh food and recharge our batteries. From the “Welcome Home” when we arrive to the various pets joining us on the sofa after dinner, there are few rules and nothing is too much trouble for Gregoria, her family and staff. People can practice yoga on the beach without being sniggered at and I can marvel at the beautiful praying mantis that I find on the bushes without worrying that someone will come along and squash them, my idea of paradise!

This is the most beautiful hotel, with lovely people and the sweetest cats, chickens and Clara the happy dog on the best location. A quiet place with a view. Dinner and breakfast is delicious, you can eat all the very delicious home-made specials without getting fat, because the nature will call you to climb the mountains full of herbs , flowers and green tree’s and to swim in all the bleu lagoons or to canoeing round Aphrodite bay !

The sign above the front door says it all; "Welcome Home". Somehow, despite it having a large clientele, you are made to feel individually welcome. The rooms, service and food are exceptional and are certainly worthy of a five-star establishment. And the view! A stunning Mediterranean panorama with the Akamas Peninsular just up the road. Thank you Yiannis, Gregoria and her mother plus all the staff for a truly wonderful visit. Also, a special thanks to all the cats (that are looked after so well by the hotel), the dog Clara and the amazing hen Marula.

I stayed at the Aphrodite Beach Hotel for a week as part of a small group looking at the natural history of the area. The hotel was in an ideal situation for this with its own shingly beach (bring beach shoes). I did swim twice but the weather was still a bit chilly in March. The hotel was extremely comfortable and the management and staff very friendly and helpful and couldn't do enough for us. My room, for which I paid a single supplement, was at the back of one of the blocks so I didn't get much of a view and I only got the sun in the morning. That didn't matter as we were out for the majority of the day, either walking from the hotel to explore the Akamas Peninsular or taking the group's minibus to explore further afield. My room was very spacious and scrupulously clean with plenty of storage space. There were plenty of plugs but no tea or coffee making facilities. However, I learned too late that it was possible to ask for a kettle etc which was willingly provided free of charge. The breakfast buffet was good and on warmer mornings we were able to eat outside on the attractive balcony over-looking the sea. The hotel provided our packed lunches on most days but the choice could have been better and the sandwiches rather uninspired. The evening buffet was enjoyable for the first few days but after that it got a bit monotonous and predictable. There was little that was recognisably 'Cyprian' about it although I believe that they source where possible locally which was good. The fish selection was particularly disappointing. I enjoyed the Cyprian wines which I found very much to my taste and good value. Unfortunately we were just too early for their beachside fish restaurant to open for Easter but I would imagine it would be really good. If I stayed here again independently I would definitely upgrade to a room with a sea view and a front facing balcony. This is a fairly large hotel with modern extensions. It is family run which I like. The management and staff excellent in their service. There is a bus stop very near the hotel that runs along the coast to the Baths of Aphrodite and to nearby towns such as Latchi where there are many restaurants. Someone has commented on the number of cats around the hotel. There are quite a lot but they were well behaved and didn't bother us. Only one or two came inside and sought a friendly lap to sit on. I applaud the management for supporting a charity that feeds, vaccinates and most importantly, neuters, the many stray cats in the area.

If I could give this hotel 6 stars I would. This is a three star hotel, but it is a wonderful hotel. The rooms are large and very clean. The hotel is situated right on the beach. A lot of the hotel rooms have a sea view. The Hotel staff are very friendly and couldn't do enough for us. The beach is pebbly and there is a bit of a shelf, but the view is amazing. The Hotel is located very close to the Akamas peninsula which is a fantastic place for hiking, particularly in Spring time. A hen wanders around the restaurant along with a couple of cats which makes it typical of Cyprus. The hotel is pet friendly not just pet accommodating. There was no charge for my little dog and he was really welcomed everywhere in the Hotel. Another feature of the Hotel is that there is a wood fire in the reception area in the evening as it does get cool in the evenings. There is also a lovely traditional fish restaurant on the beach. I would highly recommend this hotel.
