After spending two nights here at the beginning of our vacation, we loved it so much we came back during the same holiday for some more relaxation. The location is great, quiet, good for hiking, and the garden has many places for relaxing. The rooms are nice and very clean and breakfast is really good as well. The owner is...

We were 11 people on a 5-day family vacation and took 5 out of the 8 rooms in the premises. We did not use much of the facilities, as we went out soon after breakfast and came back late at night, but it gave us exactly what we wanted. Breakfast (8:00-10:00) was lavish and suitable also for the kids (ages...

we stayed three nights in this lovely place. The owners/managers of the place are very helpful, the food is great and the rooms are comfortable and reasonably prized. The surrounding area is beautiful. You can discover a good part of the black forest from this place.

My husband and I spent three nights at this delightful B & B thanks to the owners. We arrived around 7.3pm and were greeted by Alexandria who made us feel must welcome. After settling in she suggested we could eat dinner at the B & B, where her husband, Albert runs the restaurant. It was a godsend after a long...

Our room had a very large balcony that overlooked beautiful green hills and cows grazing, surrounded by the Black Forest. The only sounds we heard were cows mooing and the brook that runs by the road below. We ate dinner here twice and our meals were delicious in the cozy rustic dining room. The owners are very friendly and can...

Excellent location. Not far from Freiburg, Basel and Colmar. We stayed in the "Suite". A comfortable spacious room with separate bedroom and second bathroom. The service is more than friendly: one attributes hospitality here with a capital "H". Albert Schärli runs the kitchen and surprised time and time again yourself with delicious compositions of fresh ingredients. We recommend Gasthaus Ratsstüble...

Alexandra and Albert Schärli made us feel at home in their perfectly situated gasthaus. We loved it so much we came back! Where to start: the warm welcome when we first arrived: our room had the most amazing view of the Simonwald valley with the Black Forest towering into the distance. Our room was spacious and cleaned daily.. The staff...

Fantastic hosts in Alexandra and Albert. We got such a warm welcome and were so well looked after that we can back again as part of our tour of Europe by car. Gasthaus Ratsstuble is a charming family run inn in the lovely little town of Simonswald. The room where we stayed was big and comfortable and was cozily furnished. From the balcony, we could gaze out at the beautiful expanse of the valley. Alexendra was a great host. We went there with our two month old baby and stayed for seven...
