My partner and I stayed here for 4 nights at the begining of October, on our first ever visit to Sicily. After a 3.5 hour drive from Palmero airport we arrived with the help of a local who we followed straight to the entance. Difficult to find fault with anything. The thunderstorms were spectacular! I'm sure there were about four around and I think we had 2" rain. Weather in mid October around 28 degrees. Staff could not have been more helpful and charming. Quite a steep walk up from the car park, (after a long day walking around some of the sites, a...

I loved this place despite torrential rain greeting us from the moment we stepped off the plane. Breakfast a wonderful spread, huge 6ft bed in a room with character and panoramic views from all around the terraces. Pool looked tempting but weather sadly did not allow a swim. Used it as base to visit Taormina.

Our terrace provided spectacular views of the area and mountains. A totaly relaxing environment. The breakfasts are very Italian with fresh bread with home made jams. Delicious! I would reccomend this accomodation to everyone! Oh and...

Our Stay at Il Poggio has been a very nice. The hotel and apartments are quiet, clean and has friendly staff. Although not all staff speaks English (and we don't speak very much Italian), they do their best to make you feel a very welcome guest. For instance, our air conditioning stopped working and when we asked if it could...
